  1. The Space Between the Wormholes
  2.
  3. Jason breathed in, the scent of freshwater entering his nostrils. One last pleasant breath of fresh air before his carefully concocted plan went into action. He gripped the Poké Ball containing the Solgaleo he had stolen from a man who apparently was from a group called the Ultra Recon Squad.
  4.
  5. Never did Jason in his wildest dreams think that he'd be put into a situation which involved knocking a man unconscious and basically stealing his ride. By the time the Ultra Recon goon woke up, Jason and the beast who devours the sun would be light years away.
  6.
  7. He played with the Poké Ball in his hands for a brief moment, before winding his arm up and chucking it behind the large waterfall that lay in front of him. He heard the satisfying crack of something hitting rock.
  8.
  9. He knew that Pokémon rarely left their Poké Balls on their own accord, but he couldn't risk Solgaleo letting itself out and going after him. Breaking the capture mechanism was his only option. The lion would survive, but would remain trapped, likely forever.
  10.
  11. Jason hummed to himself as he walked back toward the Ultra Wormhole he entered from. Under this somewhat cheerful demeanor, he was screaming. He didn't WANT to do it, but he had to.
  12.
  13. Ever since the events that transpired at Aether Paradise with Team Rainbow Rocket, he was gripped with terrible nightmares. And daydreams. It had gotten so bad that universes were playing themselves out in his periphery vision.
  14.
  15. Right now, as he was walking towards the wormhole, out of the corner of his eye, he could see some half-dragon, half-human hybrid flourishing around, looking like he was cheerfully and maliciously performing some sort of song-and-dance routine in front of some petrified bystanders.
  16.
  17. It was him. Well, another him. Another universe where he was the bad guy, a dirty heathen who didn't even deserve the time of day.
  18.
  19. Jason grumbled as he focused, moving the vision from his periphery to in front of him. Yep, that was indeed another him doing a musical number, he could hear it now. He could now see the bystanders clearly as well. A slightly older (well older than his actual self, since this draconicversion of himself seemed to be in at least his 30s) white-haired boy was snarling.
  20.
  21. “Quit the theatrics and start fighting like a man.”
  22.
  23. The dragon man chuckled to himself, but then burst out into full blown laughter.
  24.
  25. “Oh my gods, that is rich coming from you.” he growled, almost sensually but also not in a sexual way. “It's almost like you forgot who you're talking to.”
  26.
  27. The dragon's voice dropped an octave or two at that last part, as his humanoid body began to grow and morph.
  28.
  29. “Did you honestly forget Levadra can literally turn into fuck-mothering dragons?” he chuckled, his voice echoing darkly as he continued to grow, “....And, oh, what's this?”
  30. Jason practically shat himself as the eyes of his other self locked onto his body.
  31.
  32. “Ah yes, Jason.” the dragon purred. “Nice to finally meet you face to face, voyeur. Shame that I can't dispose of your weak form. I may be powerful, but that would involve me being able to kill your body, not your mind. And I just can't do that with several hundred universes between us.”
  33.
  34. The dragon snorted, as he turned to his bystanders. Besides the white-haired boy, there was also a woman holding some sort of staff, a humanoid woman that had fish-like features, and some sort of creature that reminded Jason of a Lucario.
  35.
  36. “Well its been fun, Jason. It really has, but you have to go now. I'm having some old friends for dinner. ...Wonder which one I'll have first. ...That musical number did leave me craving seafood...”
  37.
  38. And with that, the connection dropped and Jason could see the wormhole again. Any doubts he had about his next course of action were shattered against the fear of seeing another one of his monstrous counterparts.
  39.
  40. As he walked through the wormhole, his last conscious thoughts wondered how quickly he'd die from oxygen deprivation.
