Summary:

Cassie Hale is done with high school. Done with being the school slut. Done with sleeping with boys day and night. Done with all the rumors and gossip. She just can't do it anymore. The only things that kept her going were books. Specifically, cliche books with the bad boy and the nerd. And all her life, she dreamed of being the good girl who stole the bad boy's heart. So when her mother declares that they are moving, she jumps for the chance of her dream actually coming true. She decides to start wearing baggy clothing, thick, dark-rimmed glasses, and ratty old sneakers. She starts to actually pay attention to school and homework, really playing out the nerd act.
And finally, she decides to start playing with hearts.
