  8. Top 6 best weapon types in a Zombie apocalypse.
  9.
  10. Hey everyone,
  11. Welcome for a new video on what weapons you should use during an apocalypse.
  12. This will cover all types of weapons, like blunt, sharp, and ranged weapons.
  13. All of those will be told in separate orders. We will look at what would be the
  14. most deadly, fragile, and the ones who would be the most trustworthy to use.
  15. This is also going to explain availability of the ressources for the ranged ones.
  16. Now, let's look over it.
  17.
  18. 1) Blunt weapons.
  19. Blunt weapons are known everywhere, you even probably use them yourself! For those who doesn't know,
  20. this is the proper definition:
  21. \\\Blunt weapons are primarily mêlée weapons designed to use blunt trauma to inflict damage on their targets.
  22. Most are club-like, and rely on the user's strength and the mass of the weapon to create blunt force.///
  23. This could include baseball bats, and any other weapons that aren't sharp and you'd put someone into a coma with.
  24. These kinds of weapôns are made to hit an object or a person, and are often made to be minimally sturdy.
  25. The force required to break a skull was announced by The Journal of Neurosurgery to be 235KG, 551.156 pounds for those
  26. who uses these units, or 2,300 newtons of force.
  27. The baseball bat, wielded by an average high school or College student, would be around 65-80 miles per hour, or
  28. in the 110's kilometers per hour. The force of this weapon is of 3400 Newtons corresponding to 760 lbs,
  29. so breaking the human skull wouldn't be hard at all, having a strenght over 200 pounds over bone's limit.
  30. Breaking the skull, the brain of many enemies would stand no chance at all!
  31. I will not cover ALL the weapons in a certain type, only the most common or logical ones.
  32. The only bad side of a blunt is that some of them are way weaker, like a cricket bat, or another one made with weaker
  33. materials. A crowbar could also be considered blunt.
  34. A blunt weapon is basically priceless to blow up a zombo's head, but range and resistance depends a lot
  35. of which weapon is used.
  36.
  37. Strenght: ***** 5
  38. Sturdiness: **** 4
  39. Weight: Variable
  40. Movement: ***3
  41. Practicality: *****5
  42. Range: **2
  43.
  44. 2) Sharp/Cold-steel weapons.
  45. Weapons like swords and knives have a pretty good utility in people's everyday life, but when this worldgoes down to ashes,
  46. is it going to be reliable? The answer maybe, let's see why. If we start by talking about the obvious,
  47. we'll talk about knives.
  48. First of all, it's obvious that the range of this weapon is extremely bad. It is a short weapon, which makes it an horrible
  49. item to use if you are surrounded or have a low amount of free moves. Nontheless, it is a very good emergency weapon as well
  50. as tactical. A knife can be sharpened very finely so it cuts through the skin very easily,
  51. while it is extremely easy to hide it in a boot or under layers of clothing, so you can get it out when the time comes.
  52. It is also tactical, as it can be used to cut many equipment or items, such as rope, vines, wood, and the list goes on.
  53. So obviously, the practicality is going to be useful and you shouldn't skip one of those in your arsenal.
  54. Now let's about you and me, let's talk about all the good things and the bad things, let's talk about swords!
  55. So these are obviously long knives, but with a couple of differences, such as an handguard, a Pommel, a hilt and a Fuller.
  56. A fuller has got rumours spreading that it is to let the blood of the enemies flow, which where it is where it got the name
  57. "Blood gutter", but it has nothing to do with blood. It is actually to lighten the sword, since the blade is so heavy.
  58. I consider you watch Trash's video on the subject, but put english subs on because it's French, ahhh I love my primary
  59. language.
  60.
  61. Strenght: *** 3
  62. Sturdiness: ** 2
  63. Weight: Variable
  64. Movement: ****4
  65. Practicality: ***3
  66. Range: ****4
  67.
  68. 3)Long ranged weapons that consume bullets.
  69. So these, ranging from a normal pistol, a 9mm, to a more advanced weapon, like the AK-47 or the SCAR-L, to mention only
  70. the ones which are known the most to the public, are very deadly in a human versus human situation, as well as
  71. very helpful to take out zombies, in a herd or alone. the bigger the bullet, the more the damage. It also depends of what
  72. kind of weapon is used, which can still be influenced by different stocks or other customizable parts,
  73. at the user's most comfortable mix.
  74. Silencers, which is a name made up for the suppressor, impacts the sound and aim of the weapon.
  75. A weapon which would be around 135 [SOUND] would become around 100-110 [SOUND].
  76. It does not allow a stealth advance like in videogames, but it is already a good start into reducing the damage
  77. your ear will have to take in.
  78. The distance in which a gun can reach depends highly on the type.
  79. I will put all of them into a more generalised category and say that if you have the right stuff, you can shoot very far.
  80. One of the problems of using guns and bullet consuming weapon is that once you fire a bullet, you cannot re-use it.
  81. Bullets can be very scarce during an apocalypse, depending on how much was used, or depending on the level of scavenging.
  82. Bullets are very precious.
  83. It also causes a lot of sound, even with the suppressor on, so it cannot be used to infiltrate or to not attract
  84. unwanted attention to your position.
  85. The gun can also jam when you want to use it, preventing it's use until it unblocks, which can be very shockingly
  86. unpredictable in some given situations.
  87. It can also be used as a blunt weapon to hit someone.
  88. So the summary is this.
  89. Use it as an emergency, and know how to use it, whilst being careful of bullet consumption.
  90.
  91. Strenght: ***** 5
  92. Sturdiness: *****5
  93. Weight: Generally Heavy
  94. Movement: ***3
  95. Practicality: *****5
  96. Range: *****5-GOLD
  97.
  98. 4)Use of fire and other incendiary equipment.
  99. Fire is an element, which is basically infinit, so can be useful right?
  100. Uh, yeah, compared to popular knowledge, this would be very helpful, here's why!
  101. Fire can bring any living organism made out of flesh to ashes.
  102. This can happen if you ignite it with a source of flame, electricity (considerable amount), or even sparks!
  103. What will happen is thaat the tissue in the body will become weaker and burnt, preventing movement,
  104. and on living organism, preventing proper breathing, proper body functions, whilst giving a tremenduous amount of pain to
  105. the victim. On a dead organism and tissue, even if the time that the event will take will be longer, their limbs would
  106. slowly be torn apart until overuse, rending the limbs useless. The bones can burn down, if the heat is significant enough.
  107. Doing this will highly reduce the chances of you being chased by too much entities. Now let's see fast on how a spark or
  108. how electricity can cause fire.
  109. When something is chocked, the heat is considerably elevated in the object, causing the tissues to also heat up.
  110. Heating up, the tissues will slowly themselves start to burn, and can eventually cause a flame to burst.
  111. The follow-up of the event is that as you should know the fire will start propagating into a bigger form, making it
  112. not a flame but multiples.
  113. A spark is an incandescent particle. Sparks may be produced by pyrotechnics, by metalworking or as a by-product of fires,
  114. especially when burning wood.
  115. It being incandescant, it contains heat, and since it is so concentrated, the weakest parts of the body could light up,
  116. such as hair, dead skin, or other combustibles, causing a fire propagation, like the electricity.
  117. Obviously, it sounds great, it sounds like an infinit ressource, very deadly, because it is, but even the best have faults.
  118. Fire can be put down with water, or by wind itself.
  119. It can also be weakened or lit off by an oxygen failure, which will stop the fire completely.
