iNitsua Z Twilight HD

Okay, so I thought I might give a little insight to the theme so far, particularly the current lite lockscreen:
When Z sent me images of what appeared to be a sort of “re-imagining” of iNitsua Z Twilight, I was amazed. The first incarnation of Twilight was great and a huge success, but this version could really push the envelope of what it means to have a retina display.
As progress continued on (without anyone else knowing, might I add), it was clear that this theme was going to need a truly unique lockscreen and iconset. When Z unveiled images of the UI, there was a huge outcry for some of the aspects of Twilight NeoStyle (unreleased) to be brought into this theme. The icon set for Twilight NeoStyle was one of the best aspects of that theme, in my opinion, so that’s why the current icons you see here pay homage to them. The mask took hours because it’s all nearly a guess and check game… what can make these icons stand out and get the effect I want.
The icons seem to have been taken well by the iCommunity, so the next biggest feat was the lockscreen.
I went back to the name “iNitsua” and asked myself, what does it mean to be an “iNitsua” theme. “iNitsua” was once a staple to the iCommunity way back when, so I revisited it and realized that the lockscreen’s main focus… was the clock. Z was a HUGE fan of “iNitsua NeoStyle” and ALWAYS referred to the glowing clock on that theme. So I definitely wanted to bring that aspect back: making the clock the main focus, which has usually been the LAST thing I tacked on to a lockscreen lately. When I started to make this lockscreen, I did just that… put the clock and date on first and made it the MAIN focus.
Another aspect of the lockscreens was how they mimicked the springboard. “iNitsua NeoStyle” lockscreen was IDENTICAL to the springboard with a “slider lock” which had a pretty cool effect. So I made the lockscreen in a way that the user selected springboard wallpaper would be the background of the lockscreen – giving the look that once unlocked, you have access to that wall as if everything just “lit” up.
The sliding “N” logo was brought back from Twilight NeoStyle, and after watching several Tron: Legacy trailers, I gave the widgets a little flicker for effect and ensured that the entire lockscreen animation takes place in under 30 secs.
Now, the custom image animations – which was to be the MAIN focus of my previous lockscreens lately – has take place as an “accent” to what’s going on in the screen. The next lockscreen, it will be the main focus – so no need to fret you custom image whores =P jk jk.
Last but not least, how to customize the lockscreen:
Well, if you don’t want to have the same background as the SpringBoard, all you need to do (which has been answered previously) is to drop a Background.PNG into the images folder. If you want a custom image as your first image that pops up, drop 1.png, and sequentially for 2.png and 3.png.
The PROBLEM I have with this method is that 2.png and 3.png STILL zoom and crop. That’s something I’m working on fixing but there is a chance that that cannot be fixed due to the transparency of the images. If I fix that, the images will most likely no longer be transparent and instead just darkened.
Lastly, if you want to change “< tap >” in the bottom of the screen, simply go into the LockBackground.HTML and replace “tap” near the bottom of the HTML to whatever you want ^_^. It worked out pretty cool.
I hope you guys enjoy the theme as it was a definite arduous task for both Z and myself. I still have a lot of work ahead of me so expect support for this theme for quite some time. As Z and I both said before, I plan on doing at least 2 more lockscreens and an animated springboard (although I do love what you guys did with the animated lockscreen and turned it into an animated springboard). Z will be making official color mods – at least for purple, pink, and orange (as far as I know).
