Reasoning:  If the requirement for SSJ is to get really, really mad, then boy is Shallot mad. After a feeble sacrifice on the blade of the Grim Reaper, Demodora, she suddenly found herself under that very woman's whip, the progenitor of a new line of Ghouls, a forbidden undead creation once sealed away by the Kais themselves. She struggled, and struggled, perhaps in vain, but all in the hope that her allies in the Dragon Island Resistance, later the United Coalition, would be able to break Demodora's grip on the island, killing her captor and freeing her from this hell. In a final act of rebellion, she entrusted this hope to Calaba, her friend and comrade, by resisting the spell that commanded that she take her life. It took all her defiant strength-- after all, she was just a young Saiyan girl, hardly even a seasoned fighter, and up against a great and powerful well of chaos energy that she couldn't even comprehend-- but Shallot emerged victorious, fleeing the scene and leaving Calaba alive. It was her one, and only, victory.
What is the moment: Now resurrected, Shallot is without her ghoulish strength and endurance, the violent conviction of her Red alter ego, or even the dark and mysterious power she had tapped in their last battle against Calaba. Once again, she's a mere Saiyan warrior on a battlefield of gods and devils. Nova and Verde had brought her back in search of comrades in their covert operations against Demodora, sure, but what could she offer? Shallot never once complains or shows a hint of fear to the two, nor to Yeqin when they meet, but inside, she wonders what she can really offer to this new Resistance.
	But then... What else could she do? Walk away after all she had sacrificed? Give in? Rejoin the Einherjar forces on their death march towards Oasis? No, a Stark would never...
	Well, we cant say that. Actually, most Starks did.
	But SHALLOT would never! She would never stoop so low! No, now was not the time to bow her head, to throw the towel in after a full era of suffering as a mindless servant! Fire burns in her heart as she taps into the same defiant soul that once shirked off the iron weight of Demodora's mind control. If she could defeat her once in her very heart and soul, she very well could do it again, here and now! The rebel heart of a Saiyan warrior would flare up on the battlefield once again!

TLDR; Shallot is so hardcore, she once told Demodoras entire mind control spell to fuck off. Now she's using that same defiant power to tap into the Super Saiyan rage she once saw Tak and Pak-Choi summon in the heat of battle!
