  1. * CowBoy, the first player of the game, bought, installed, and ran Fortuna, the computer game, for the first time
  2.
  3. * CowBoy played Fortuna dozens of times, completing a large number of runs of Fortuna
  4.
  5. * An earlier iteration of Hermes v1 gets permanently killed as another Hermes v1 (the Hermes I'll RP as) comes into being at the start of a fresh universe, and is taught the ropes by Mors. He meets Cupid for the first time. When Hermes shook Cupid's hand, CowBoy reset the computer game, corrupting Cupid's save file until a new Cupid is spawned in the next universe.
  6.
  7. * Hermes makes friends with the Roman Apollo as CowBoy sets their sights onto attempting to "unlock" the dummied out pre-beta files of the game which are hidden under the code of Fortuna. To do this, CowBoy kills the Roman Apollo in a variety of different ways and ending the universe multiple times in quick succession. Hermes eventually gets fed up with this and attempts to save Apollo, unfortunately ending up with him accidentally killing Apollo without any way to bring him back.
  8.
  9. * CowBoy decides the Roman Apollo a lost cause and turns their sights onto the Greek Apollo, putting him through the same type of abuse as the Roman Apollo. Hermes, meanwhile, becomes more and more and more numb to death that he actually begins reveling in it and becoming very interested in watching people die. After this, CowBoy discovered a new type of "run" to the game. By befriending the Greek Apollo enough and then betraying him, he eventually turns into a Sun God, therefore granting the Fortuna object "Sun God Helmet" and causing universes to end after 1000 years instead of the normal 20000.
  10.
  11. * CowBoy's friend (canon name unknown but unofficially referred to as [You]) expresses interest in the game. [You] gets the game from CowBoy, along with their save file, and start playing for the first time. They attempt to do a full clean swipe of the game minus player-generated species, planets, and legends, and accidentally have the Fortuna objects, including the Sun God Helmet, into the fresh game. This means that the Sun God also gets transferred over.
  12.
  13. * [You] starts the tutorial. Instead of Hermes being the one giving the player a tutorial, a somewhat-fresh copy of a Roman Apollo v1 gets sent into the tutorial for an extended period of time, warping the Roman Apollo's view of the world and granting extreme loneliness and desperation. Apollo kills the tutorial captain and nearly ends up getting hilled himself, only for Hermes to [Space Rip] a way out for Apollo. He escapes and Mors v1 gets blamed for Hermes's actions.
  14.
  15. * [You] completes the tutorial and first real game with Hermes and the crew's personal AI companion. During [You]'s second game, we find out that he used his death sight ability on himself in order to find out when he died. This was a huge mistake as Hermes very quickly drove himself into extreme paranoia. He dismissed his own problems regarding this, hiding them to himself, as he attempted to keep a close eye on all of his friends as possible, only for him to annoy them.
  16.
  17. * [You] reaches Fortuna in the second run of the game and Hermes room traps the player, trapping [You]'s v1 avatar alongside [You]'s patrons at the time, Helios and Athena. Eventually, Athena tricks Hermes into summoning Mors v1. Mors yells at Hermes, and [You], Helios, Athena, and Mors all attempt to reassure Hermes that none of them will kill him. unfortunately, all of their bad wording only drives Hermes over the edge.
  18.
  19. * Hermes attempts to kill Helios, but due to his panic, accidentally kills Mors instead. He notices blood on his claws and gets confused, as AIs aren't supposed to bleed. Mors is revealed to be every single corpse the player(s) have killed in the game, including clockworks, therefore being a giant flesh clockwork monster. Hermes panics again. [You] attempts to save their player avatar Hermes from Mors, only for Athena to kill it, effectively ending the room trap and saving Hermes.
