- It was one of those afternoons where the Hamada brothers could take a ride and look at the scenery of Arcadia Bay, Oregon before the school year started. The sun was shining through Tadashi's window and although it did glare for a bit, he was still able to see. Hiro, the young one was getting into the car with a small look of nervousness since he heard about the disappearance of Rachel Amber. He was mainly scared of being kidnapped and although he was independent, he felt as though in certain parts of the area, there were very dangerous.
- Seeing that his little brother was feeling nervous, walked right over to him and put an arm on his shoulder. "Hey Hiro, I will always be by your side. Although we have to be separate at times, you know that my number is in your contacts. So, you can always text me or call me if you are in danger or if you need help with anything." He said, assuringly and after Hiro heard that, he did feel better so, he hopped into Tadashi's car and the older brother started to drive.
- There was plenty of scenery to look at and it was just nice to see while driving. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and it was a perfect opportunity for the two brothers to bond while talking to one another. Hiro decided to play some rock music on the car radio and "Immortals" from Fall Out Boy was playing. "So, bro. Do you think that this year would be just as good as the last? I mean, I don't mind the work but I could not stand the drama and my roommate last year was just annoying and would not let me work. All he did was complain about his girlfriend. I just hope that this year, my roommate would be just as studious as me." Hiro said, with a bit of a sigh. He did like the school, but wished that his roommate last year was not annoying at all.
- Tadashi, looking at his brother with concern, sighed, and wished that the year before would have been as good as he wished it was. "I mean, the class work was fine, but the drama between the students and group projects; I don't want to get started on whom I worked with." Hiro complained, with a small sigh. Tadashi rolled his eyes as he was driving down the highway. "Well, I remember you telling me this last year, and I got to say, some students care about more regarding their social life than anything." He said, with a bit of a sigh coming out of his mouth.
- "I remember in my photography class, that this one girl was making everyone look like we were not knowing anything about the lectures or made us feel as though we were not paying attention." Tadashi said, with another sigh, knowing on what it felt like to deal with the struggle of not being able to concentrate at all. "I also struggled with a roommate who was blasting music all night while I was studying. Luckily, I passed the quizzes and tests, but still, I wished my roommate would have some respect." Tadashi said, while trying to get the negative thoughts out while driving. Although being in Blackwell Academy was a good school, the brothers wished that there was more students who would concentrate on their work in classes instead of being class goofs.
- The brothers were on the road throughout the early afternoon and it was getting close to dinner. Hiro was mainly taking pictures on his iPod touch and thought that the scenery around the area was just nice and beautiful. Be did miss Florida and going from the sunny beach to the city side was a weird transition but, their aunt founded a cafe that needed the business so, being in Oregon was not that bad of a moving experience. As Hiro was gazing at the pictures, his stomach started to growl.
- "Oh, you hungry? We could stop by at Two Whales and grab a sandwich or do you want to go back to Aunt Cass's cafe?" Hiro did not want to deal with the noise at the diner. So, he felt as though he wanted to be at the cafe. "Eh, feel like going home. The diner last time was loud and seeing that fight was just too embarrassing to watch while eating." Hiro said, and Tadashi did remember that fight and it was really loud and they had to leave really early due to the noise. "Yeah, good idea. That fight was embarrassing and I could not stand the fight either." Tadashi said, as he rolled his eyes as he drove to Cass's place.
- When they got back to her house, they had dinner at it was hot wings, their favorite meal. "So, you guys ready for the school year?" She asked, in a sweet tone. The two brothers looked up at her and did nod a little. "Yeah, we are. Just a little bit concerned. Do you remember on how last year that there were students causing drama in classes?" Aunt Cass listened and rolled her eyes. "Hey look. You two brothers are just really the smartest ones in our family and you just concentrate on grades like you guys always do. You guys are really smart as well. So, keep on being smart and I'm sure that you will have a successful school year. Don't let the student drama get to you." The two brothers smiled and hearing that and ate with glee.
- After dinner, the two went to go to their rooms and started to pack for their upcoming year. They did not know on who they are going to room with once the semester started, and hopefully they won't be annoying and instead, studious. They did remember their car conversation and it was one of the few times that they would have to spend some time together since they had to be in separate rooms once again. So, during the year, they had to remember the conversation they had during their scenic drive.
