  11. Alright, I want to comment a lot about this one but I'll let it mostly speak for itself. I hope it explains why it took so long to deliver. I will do the other promises and more.
  12.
  13. EXCEPT, I MUST say - I read the fanfiction with Stella which also finally features the PENNAS! :DDDD Finally one with them!!!
  14. I've been reading it in the time I could spare (haven't finished it yet though, stopped for now at the big argument with Stella and Stolas). It's amazing so far! So much good drama! I think that anon really captured all that we discussed in that opera thread and just gave it so much more! I'm really happy with it so far. I don't mean to dismiss other writeranons that also posted at the same time, I just haven't had the time to read them :p I hope they are well archived somewhere.
  15. Another thing that prolonged the delivery was things in the fic that made me do some adjustments, like the masks and Stella's dress (which I will sketch the front view of so that it would be more accurate to what was described). I hope the masks aren't too tacky or the prom dress too weird. I'm not really a creative person.
  16.
  17. And my final note, I really like Lilith's Ball fanfic. I'm reading it and thinking I could totally illustrate so many parts. I want to at least and I might AFTER I do the requests I promised and after some other important drawings.
  18. Hope you all like this!

  22. And here is a version with out masks. Easier to see the expressions

  26. ----
  27. >he followed the imp's example, pecking and npping at her, practically preening her like feral birds would, while his hands massaged her mons pubis... and belly
  28. >there was something... oddly ritualistic in that, something which she hadn't noticed in the heat of the moment, though she would lay a hand upon his, to guide his movement across her stomach...
  29.
  30. >...something which they had never done, while she was pregnant with Octavia
  31.
  32. >there was a pleasant pain in that fact, somewhere, somehow
  33. >he did his best to make up to her, where words failed...
  34. >...but, alas, it was for naught
  35.
  36. >Stolas shuddered in his post-coital clarity, struggling to keep down the smoke
  37. >tonight had been the best and worst in so many ways, but right now, it was bound to get so much worse
  38. >fear gripped him like never before
  39. >...he really was a coward, wasn't he?
  40. >...a dirty, perv erted, neglectful, thoughtless coward, always seeking his own pleasure, but never willing to face the repercussions...
  41. >...but this time, he had no choice
  42.
  43. >...n-no, n-no, focus o-on the g-good parts, h-haha...
  44.
  45. >Stella really has been missing out, but so was he...
  46. >...Blitzy... Blitz was right, he genuinely have forgotten how good of a lay she was...
  47. >...lay...
  48. >Poor Tavi, to have to had put up with their nonsense for so long--NO!
  49. >FOCUS!
  50. >FO-CUS!
  51.
  52. >you've just had sx with your wife and lover, with the later promising to make you face your fears in all but name - these are the last fleeting moments of your happiness!
  53. >don't waste it on feeling like sht for things you've always felt sht about!
  54.
  55. >...God, he really was selfish...
  56.
  57. >...They really should've included Stella from the start
  58. >put up with her screaming try to coax her into it, turn it into something that would freshen up their marriage, rather than ruin it
  59. >sure, Octavia may not have been pleased - Blitz really was difficult to put up with at times -, but it would've been a damn sight better than living in a house divided upon itself
  60. -
  61. >"Once again, I end up in bed with people who either can't stand the thought of me, or see more in me than they should. Or both, this time around."
  62. >"Once again, I feel empty. I feel NOTHING. Not even pain, anymore."
  63. >"..."
  64. >"...It hurts..."
  65.
  66. >"...I'm not gonna pretend that that fixed anything." he began "But now, that we're SOMEWHAT on the level with each other..."
  67. >and he looked between the two
  68. >"...Let's see what we can make of it."
  69.
  70. >"...Make of it?" Stella asked, phlegmatically "Look, it was... Gallant of you, to try and help the best way you thought you could. The fact that you went out of your way to apologize..." and briefly, she fixed Stolas with a glare "...Is remarkable. Few men can do that, I am told."
  71.
  72. >she took another drag, and exhaled, watching the embers burn away at the paper and tobacco
  73. >...they really should've bought cannabis for this, but Stolas was oddly dry when it came to herbs...
  74. >...she always presumed his oddly focused prudence was born out of bad experience
  75.
  76. >"...However, I can tell you didn't just do it out of the goodness of your heart." she went on, her gaze returning to the men
  77. >"...You're right." he said, simply, his head lowering "...And that's what kills me about it."
  78. >"Oh?" Stolas asked, sitting up more
  79. >Blitzo sighed
  80. >"...You guys ever felt like that, even though you really, desperately wanted to say sorry, it didn't... Feel genuine? Like, you weren't apologizing to make the other feel better. Or even if you did, you just KNEW that deep down, it's all about making yourself feel better.
  81. >the avians stared
  82. >"...Cuz', it's like... You just want them to not feel mad at you anymore... Or sad about you, or whatever!"
  83.
  84. >Stella blinked
  85. >she didn't expect the conversation to go this way, but she'll be damned twice if she let it get back on... topic
  86. >...God, he was right, she really was a coward...
  87. -
  88. >"That's... Quite an interesting conundrum..." Stolas mused, taking a drag
  89. >"Couple of years ago, I heard pretty much the same from Octavia. This was back she was first experimenting with poems..." he added, looking at Stella
  90. >unlike her prior glare, his gaze was inviting
  91. >he wanted her to join in
  92. >"...That was... When she was thirteen, wasn't it?" she muttered "Satan, that was such a long time ago... She would always show me her latest and greatest. I was surprised when she moved onto lyrics, but then again, poems were our generation's hits... They're rather old fashioned, now..."
  93. >the others stared, listening to her tangent - this had been the calmest they've ever heard her
  94. >well an truly lost in her thoughts, a trip down Memory Lane
  95.
  96. >"I didn't know she showed you her works..." Stolas muttered, bemused "She never showed me any, only just this once..."
  97. >this caused Stella to turn, surprised
  98. >"Really?" she asked "I always thought..."
  99. >"Well, you WERE the artist in the family..:" Stolas muttered "I told her as much. Even showed her some of your old paintings..."
  100. >"STOLAS!" the swan crowed, suddenly growing beet red "...B-But those were...!"
  101. >"...Only your battle scenes, dear..." the owl stated, patiently "And in conjunction with your trophies."
  102. >his voice grew warm, but also forlorn and somber at the same time
  103. >"...I wanted her to see that there could be more than one sides to a person, and that one side doesn't necessarily cancel out the others..."
  104. >he took another drag, and exhaled
  105. >"...You were busy trying to beat proper etiquette into her... So, I figured it would be better not to tell..."
  106. >"...You should've..." she sighed
  107. >"...I should've..." he mused
  108. >this was a lesson that they're learning quickly
  109.
  110. >"...What were you going to say...?"
  111. >realizing that the silence had grew long, Stolas hastily gathered his thoughts
  112. >"...So, the one time I got to see a poem of hers was when she had the same dilemma as you do, Blitz."
  113. -
  114. >he paused for a moment, recalling the memory
  115. >"Her poem was about a friend, classmate of hers, who had then recently fallen in love... Both happy and jealous of her, she wrote a sonnet, about the ambiguity of love..."
  116. >"...She went to school?" Blitzo suddenly asked, snapping the other two out of reminiscence
  117. >"...She was only homeschooled in certain subjects." Stolas explained, before a pained expression took over him "...In hindsight, maybe we should've let her out more. Even though she only stayed home for a couple of classes, that was still time she could've spent with her friends..."
  118. >"...To be fair..." Stella mused "...She couldn't quite make any... Long-term friends... Fast friends, sure, especially when she was younger, and... Less sheltered."
  119. >and she looked to her husband
  120. >"...She's kinda like you in that regard..."
  121.
  122. >ruminating on that, the Prince continued:
  123. >"Well, her poem upset her classmate. A lot. She was one of her closest friends, and, seemingly out of the blue, Tavi lost her. It pained her, but at the same time, she couldn't really understand. So, she turned to me, poem in hand, and asked me: "How honest is a "sorry"? Do you really mean it, when you apologize?"
  124.
  125. >"And what did you tell her?" Stella asked, casually - not noticing that she took the words right out of Blitzo's mouth
  126. >"...I told her, that the fact that it bothered her meant that she cared." the owl replied, looking down at the imp "...Even if you're worried about it being meaningful and worthwhile, it still shows that you care."
  127.
  128. >"...I suppose that's good, then." Blitzo muttered "I'll have to talk to her, though..."
  129. >"Who? Octavia?" asked Stella
  130. >"What?! No..." he replied, quickly, before pondering "Well... She could definitely be on the list, but no. I was thinking about an ex of mine."
  131.
  132. >"Oh?" Stolas asked, interest piqued
  133. -
  134. >"...We got together in Loo Loo Land..." the imp began "We've known each other long before, but--"
  135.
  136. >he suddenly cut off, shaking is head, as if dismissing the mere thought
  137.
  138. >"...We got together in Loo Loo Land." he began again "Busted out of the place together, and set out on our own path, to steal our own crown. She wanted to be a singer, I wanted to make jingles. It worked out, she got rich, famous..."
  139. >he fell silent, reminiscing
  140. >a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth
  141.
  142. >"...And then?"
  143. >the smile faded
  144.
  145. >"...And then.... I broke her heart."
  146. >"Oh..."
  147. >"...Took her car and drove laps around Wrath, and maxed out her credit card on horse-riding lessons..."
  148. >"Oh."
  149. >"The point is, I betrayed her trust. Used her, and then tossed her away. That's how I wanted it to look."
  150.
  151. >both Goetias frowned
  152. >"..."To seem"?" Stolas asked
  153. >Blitzo sniffed
  154. >"We were close." he explained "Too close. She saw something in me that I've never found. I meant more to her than I should..."
  155. >he curled up tighter
  156.
  157. >"She had this tattoo on her shoulder. Just a heart, with my name in it. Corny, I know..."
  158. >he sighed, deep and ragged
  159. >"She still has it. Only with my name crossed out. And that's what kills me in this..."
  160. >he was staring straight ahead, avoiding eye contacts
  161. >"I broke her heart. I betrayed her trust. I nearly destroyed her career, drove her to drink to the point where she needed rehab like my sisters--!"
  162.
  163. >he ground to a halt
  164. >slowly, his expression began to twist
  165. >his brow furrowed, his eyes squeezed shut
  166. >his lips pulled back, revealing his gnashing teeth, which slowly parted
  167. >he looked ready to scream
  168.
  169. >and then, all of a sudden, he inhaled deeply
  170. >steadied his breath
  171. >...and corrected:
  172.
  173. >"...SisTER."
  174.
  175. >Stolas and Stella exchanged glances
  176. >this longer-than-momentary-slip quickly went from startling to concerning
  177. >he was hiding something, deep down, that he refused to be stirred
  178. >something horrible
  179. -
  180. >"...When I met her again, she still had the tattoo, only crossed out. She was spiteful, in small ways. Taking my parking slot, harassing my employees... That, I could take. But... She still had my mark on her. And she was STILL drinking. Manager probably dragged her out of rehab so she could perform..."
  181. >"Perform?" Stolas asked, puzzled "Pardon me, Blitz, but... Who is she?"
  182. >"Oh! I haven't told you, have I?" the imp mumbled "Verosika Mayday."
  183.
  184. >both Goetia's eyes lit up
  185. >"...The pop star?" Stella asked, incredulous "You dated a pop star?"
  186. >"...When she wasn't that famous." Blitzo admitted
  187. >"...I'm surprised she is in the first place." Stolas mumbled "Her... Style isn't anything to write home about."
  188. >"That's the drink." the imp groaned "Beelzejuice. Was already taking it as dietary supplement, but she started drinking in earnest when I left."
  189. >"...Isn't that an appetite suppressant?" the owl asked, frowning. Blitzo rolled his eyes
  190. >"It's an everything-suppressant!" he growled "That's why she's only performing to the bare minimum needed to pass! She used to be a lot more talented! Used to be one of those horse-dancers!"
  191. >"...Horse-dancers?" Stella muttered, wondering if this was something dirty
  192. >"...Do you mean, an equestrian acrobat?" Stolas asked
  193. >"Yeah, that! She was really good at it, too!" the imp explained, before running out of steam again "...But that was way back then... We didn't know each other at the time. Only by sight, perhaps."
  194. "...Sight? Did you work in a circus?" the swan asked
  195.
  196. >"...I was an acrobat." Blitzo replied, after a long pause "...With my sisters. "The Amazing Imp Siblings", we were called..."
  197. >"...I remember hearing about something like that..." Stolas mused "...I may have even seen a poster, too... Although..."
  198. >and he looked at him, pensively
  199.
  200. >"...That poster said "The Amazing Imp Twins"..."
  201.
  202. >Blitzo grit his teeth
  203. >"Yeah, that was a short-term gig... Didn't last."
  204. -
  205. >he chuckled, darkly
  206. >"Hard to perform stunts that were designed for three, when there's only two of you... Even worse when there's just one."
  207.
  208. >again, all the Goetias could do was exchange glances
  209. >finally, the swan motioned the owl, so Stolas took a deep breath
  210.
  211. >"...What happened?"
  212.
  213. >Blitzo sighed
  214.
  215. >"...There was a fire..."
  216.
  217. >again, the other two just stared, blinking with perplexion
  218. >"...Weren't imps immune to fire?" Stella asked
  219. >"We are." the imp replied, dryly "...But, as may have guessed, this was no ordinary fire."
  220.
  221. >pulling a cigarette out of the complimentary pack, he lit it from the embers of the ash tray
  222. >took a deep drag, and just stared at it as he swallowed the smoke
  223. >"...Rumor has it that a sinner started it." he murmured "...For kicks, as usual."
  224.
  225. >beside him, Stella frowned, while Stolas outright glared
  226. >"...Who was it?!" he snapped "Tell me, and I'll--!"
  227. >"Leave it." Blitzo ordered "...He's already in Hell. If he's enjoying himself, he's probably too knky to torture."
  228. >"...So you know it's a "he"?" Stella asked, raising an eyebrow
  229.
  230. >"I suppose..." he replied, exhaling some smoke, and then frowning at the cig
  231. >he didn't like the taste
  232. >"...Long story short, sis started drinking. I didn't know what to do. Bounced around for a bit. Went to college, dropped out. Never even been to school beforehand. Dad always said "Carnies don't need no stinkin' school, and you little shts don't deserve it!". He had some more quips like that."
  233.
  234. >"Charming." said Stella, dryly
  235. >Blitzo laughed
  236. >"Oh, you would've LOVED him!" he sneered "Bastrd was just like me, except worse. I swear, he hated the fking ground he had to walk on. Surprise he could even bed mom, let alone make her stay long enough to bring US into this sinful world... But, let's not talk about him. He's fking dead to me, anyway. Deader than dead."
  237. >"...Alright."
  238. -
  239. >putting out the cigarette, he finally unfurled himself, laying back against the pillow
  240. >as always, his horns got in the way, but the damn thing was at least large enough for him to rest them comfortably against the wall
  241. >"By the time I ended up in Loo Loo Land, my resume might as well been radioactive. Surprised I got hired, but then again, that place had have seen better days by then."
  242. >"...That reminds me..." Stella asked, suddenly sitting up "Why did you always took Tavi there? She hated that place! And, by all accounts, it was just a cheap knock-off of Lulu World. Something, which would've been well within our budget to visit."
  243. >"...I didn't want to take here, because the lines were always massive. Even the VIP ones." Stolas explained, after a long pause "Besides, it wasn't always that... Run down. In fact, I recall that place was actually meant to be a homage to the real deal..."
  244. >"Heh, that's what Vero told me." Blitzo chuckled "It used to be a decent-ish place before Mammon had his fallout with Lucifer. Rustic. She worked there way before me. Apparently - and I'm not surprised one bit - it all got worse when that Fizz knock-off arrived."
  245. >"...And that's what Octavia hated about it!" Stella added, suddenly realizing "When you were out of earshot, she always complained to me that the robot was scary. I didn't understand what she meant up until recently, when I heard about the animatronic going haywire there, and burning the place to the ground."
  246. >"Oh, that was on me!" Blitzo butted in, sounding rather proud "Well, ashole did it himself, but I guess our fight led to the whole mess."
  247. >"...You fought an animatronic?" Stolas asked, puzzled
  248. >"Oh, trust me, he was MORE than that. In fact, I remember Vero telling me that that's why Mammon had his falling out with Luci!"
  249. >"That's Lucifer to you."
  250. >"Whatever. Point is, he didn't like the fact that Mammon copied his star performer."
  251. -
  252. >he chuckled again
  253. >"Honestly, he shouldn't have gotten his royal lacy panties in a twist. That jester-shaped stack of garbage had barely contained TRACE amounts of the real Fizzarolli!"
  254. >the other two had to grin at that
  255. >"Heh, you sound like you actually KNEW the real Fizzarolli..." Stella snickered...
  256.
  257. >...and then, the penny dropped
  258.
  259. >"No..." she murmured, wide-eyed "Don't tell me..."
  260. >she looked at the imp, who gave her his most innocent, sardonic grin
  261. >"Where do you think I performed?"
  262.
  263. >behind them, Stolas frowned, deep in thought
  264. >then, he realized something
  265. >"...I think I know which fire you're talking about, then." he said, bringing silence to the room
  266.
  267. >silence, which grew awkward
  268.
  269. >"...Well, would you look at that..." the owl mused "..:We've gotten way off topic..."
  270. ---
  271. And this is where I'll call it wraps tonight.
  272. Sorry, guys, but I really need to get some shuteye.
  273. But I'll conclude it later.
  274. -
  275. Thanks, Anon. This is great. Also, thanks for letting my greentext join in. I'm not the best writer. Hell, I'm not even that good but thanks.
  276. -
  277. You're very welcome. Hell, I should be thanking you! My main issue with doing greentexts was that eventually just boiled down to "storytime with anon" with no-one else participating or even responding to it. So, having someone cover a different side of the story was a nice change of pace.
