- So, an update to my earlier log... I've devised a definitive experiment to try and calculate the vector of the conduit's roll. But there's one problem, I didn't bring any equipment for something like that out here, so I'm going to leave a log entry of it.
- You'd need to retrofit a hyperspace-capable probe with an FTL beacon and modified FSD that would enter witchspace, travel a certain distance but not drop out again. Preferably it would be launched on a conduit running parallel to the test ship so that as the test ship rotated, it could measure where it is relative to the beacon as a reference point. As it's in transit it would constantly take measurements of the bearing changes that the beacon's signal experiences, and then once it's dropped out you can analyze the results.
- Now, I don't have any hyperspace-capable probes on me and to modify one in that way would take a transformer the size of a suitcase and an electrician of such genius that i'd have to go headhunting at Professor Palin's base.
