Yunao:
Instead of hopping over the henchmen he just hopstoches on their face instead.

Porsche:
Porsche still has the gremlin on her shoulder. "We better get to safety as soon as possible"

Rei:
Rei tries to struggle to her feet, but even struggling seems to be too much, "...Walking is out of the question, I think. But I should be able..." She lifts herself up as much as she can in a push up motion, then moves her arms out from under her - miraculously she doesn't smack her head into the ground, and instead rises a few feet of the ground. Kind of looks like she's body surfing, without a board, on air. "Good. I can still...float-crawl. I'll be okay."

Yin groans but she's solidly knocked the fuck out.

Sylina nods. "That'll do for a stretcher. Would carrying you along in that state help?"

Sylina takes the attention being focused on Rei to inspect the mark the root left behind

Yunao groans a bit, "Fine, alright let's get going before some assholes show up. I'm sure there's more than enough evidence now."

The city has lost its hustle and bluster, and now sits at a standstill. Upon your enter, heads whip in your direction, their fearful eyes scouring you. They seem to recognize you, though, and a wave of relief seeps through the crowds. Some apprehension remains due to your(and especially Rei's) condition, but before you can inquire as to why they're so on edge, a couple of familiar faces leap down from the rooftops, their faces more solemn than last you saw them. Okay they look exactly the same but bear with me here I don't have access to my token DB.

They stand there, saying nothing

"What we spoke of with you was all true, however, I had also been told that there were two members of the Blackguard on the island...and I feared they were working with the Chitin Clan. My informant did not know their identities, but believed they would be the ones to carry out the poisoning of the water."

Fen:
"Rei requested I allow her to go alone, for fear of your safety, I imagine... When I saw that you had come back, I hoped it meant you had defeated at least one of them..."

Fen:

"The Chitin Clan again...listen, did you all confirm it's really the Chitin Clan at all? What if we're being mislead?"

"There was a member of the Blackguard there - it was him, actually, who called us to Rei's position."

"The one who called us over the radio had a very distinct accent."

"Though he had also slain many members of the Chitin clan by his own hand."

"Guy of course made like a tree the moment we arrived...but I have a feeling we wouldn't be able to take him in our current position anyway."

"That is...good news...but it leaves us even more in the dark than we were."

"Is our enemy the Blackguard, or the Chitin Clan? Can you say?"

Yunao:
"In case you weren't informed we did bring back the child, she's out cold at the moment."

"...I'm afraid he left without giving a clear impression as to why he was there. He made no moves of aggression towards us, though Rei may have had a different experience."

Fen:
"I will have to inquire of her the whereabouts and identity of her employer, then... THough I doubt we have time."

Porsche:
"It's strange, but with my own experiences I have to say that the man spoke with an unquestionably....Chitin-flavoured accent. Perhaps he's a dissenter to the clan?"

Sylina:
"He did say it 'may be too late' to accomplish whatever it is he was there for. Other than that, I am uncertain."

Yunao:
"Sorry if we didn't gather as much information as you'd like but we proritized the safety of Rei first and foremost."

Fen:
"No, you did what you should have. I am not angry with you."

Hyeon-Woo:
"So the big bad is a member of the clan after all... Damn..." Guess I'll just go fuck myself

"However, we received a...I am now not sure whether to call it a threat or warning....but we have been...alerted to a potential attack on the city. It was not private, either. The entire city has gotten hold of the information."

"That sure explains the mood outside."

"The tension has been palpable."

Fen:
"This warning came in the form of flyers plastered about the city, all signed in Chitin cursive, which is...difficult to read, at best. We took them down as swiftly as we could, no doubt you saw Haneul and Sang cleaning up the remains, but of course some still saw them."

"It all just seems so...fishy. If it's a threat, why give us time? If it's a warning...why not HELP US?"

Yunao:
"That is a bit odd."

Porsche:
"Well first off, we should examine just what the heck is fast and stealthy enough to put up all those flyers without being detected at all."

Porsche:
"Unless patrol around here is really loose, it's scary to assume we could potentially be outclassed by someone like that...."

Hyeon-Woo:
"I have a feeling it's likely ot be too fast and stealthy for us to know that."

Porsche:
"Especially when that person is low-wrung enough to be doing busywork like that!"

Hyeon-Woo:
"We've never even seen threat of an attack before...our military might is negligible."
