Chapter 11

Chapter 11. Fall. Not the season. The affection from gravity of a certain body. But not really. No,this is in the metaphorical sense, the opposite of the other chapter. Called Ascension. At first, two guys went up the sky so.. Yeah, ascension. And.. The fall starts... Now..

Something was falling. The sky station was getting more and more distant, as the man in the golden armor could gaze the earth, the grass better. He closed his eyes, letting the wind go past him.. It was relieving. He could die in those moments, he could just die, crash into the ground and... Die. Just like that... But as the ground's embrace grew closer, he proceeded to move his body, his legs going forward, his arms backwards as he proceeded to release an energy burst from them, keeping him up for a second , before he landed down. There , he pressed a button in his armor as it proceeded to dissolve and move out of the way as he sat by a tree, and there.. He proceeded to meditate. Dyonissius had lots of things to think about, even more than any single of the thirty six personalities, all busy with their matters. But he... He...  Really, what was he doing there? How dod he get there? Dyonossius had one small problem with that . He couldn't remember. His past was blurred. He knew it was, but he couldn't see the truth. In one hand, the Prime Rank of Underground who watched as the people were liberated from the old rule. Or... The man who ruled Rollp Lay many centuries ago. The musician who had fallen in love with a certain noble girl. The.. The cook who was always hungry. Who was he really? All that was his, was the time he had for himself, to think... And that time he was deprived off , for many years. But now, finally peace, finally...
"Hey. So... How come YOU are here?"-he heard a sweet voice call him. Not that he didn't know who she was. But.. Why the heck was Ari there?
"How the heck did you even..."-but he couldn't finish.
"You think you're the only one who knows about this place? Don't make me laugh. "-she responded.
"Yeah, yeah... Good for you. Now, if you don't mind leaving me alone?"-he said. But Ari had no such plans. She instead proceeded to sit by his side , and again ask.
"You know.. This is paradoxical enough. You seek to be liberated from those voices, and yet you actually try to remain in quiet, where you can hear them out more?"
"No... It is not only that. My goal isn't to silence the voices. The goal is to be with myself"
"How is that working out for you?"
"It is now working pretty well actually."
"Do you... Actually remember anything about yourself?"-Ari said. Her normally sweet tone had changed. It was now lower, it had saddened.
"I remember things. I think I did, but... I cannot know. How could i have lived 600 years ago? How could I have saved the people from the Razzareth. Did... Did I raze Tartown? Did I... "-he would have continued to speak, but..
"Don't do that to yourself. It.. It causes pain"
"What is so wrong about pain?"
"I... I do not know"
"Yeah, but... I mean... I don't know even where I was born. When? Wh.."-and again he was interrupt.
"Dyonissius Fall, born in Tartown, August 15 , currently 21. I.. Got that from the files. Dr.Sonnemuz probably didn't notice"
"Huh. But.. Tartown is.."
"Tartown wasn't always named that. I don't know what was it named before, but after... I don't remember, something happened, and its name became Tartarus + Town... Tartown"
"I remember. I remember exactly how I... How I did it, how it happened. But... Why can't I remember anything about.. My past there? Or my family? Or anything?"
"Hey, I bet there is some info there... And your memories, they must be safe somewhere. Stored , protected. Existing.."
"Yeah. That is an optimistic way to view it"
"And if you cannot remember still, you can always look at the files"
"Hey Ari..."
"Yeah?"
"Do you remember where were you born?"
"No."
"What?"
"I was an adopted child. I never knew my real parents. I don't even know my date of birth. It is marked as January 5, but... My mother.. Not the real one, but.. The one i had for most of my life, told me she found me in the slums of Rollp Lay. I am sure.. She still hasn't told me something. There is.. Something else. I couldn't ask my father, for he didn't see it... Mother was the one who did"
"That's sad. "
"Yeah... Try imagining how Anos came to be"
"Anos? I always thought he was a dead guy who was zombified in an experiment"
"Well.. I looked at the files , while I got the info for yours, and that is true, except.. He was pretty much alive when they tore him to pieces and made him... Like that."
"Poor guy"-said Dyonissius, now it was his turn to sadden.
"Yeah.... Like, where did they find us all?'
"I don't really know. Do you think... All we did under Dr.Sonnemuz has a meaning?"
"I... I just did it for... "
"Huh?"
"See, I... I know there is something I must discover. Come to terms with... Like that classical clichè. Maybe I am the last of my kind? Or maybe, I am meant to save the world. Maybe you are."
"I have a guy who tells me that. "-and he would proceed, trying to sound deep "You are the last of Yavan's descendants. It is your fate to be great, and save the world from darkness"
"Really?"
"Yeah?"
And after one or two minutes of silence...
"Hey, Dyonissius, think we'll live through this one?"
"I don't know, really. As Asurans, it seems we are being pitted against some pretty tough guys. These heroes.. They are weak, but.. Karma. And Anos.. Let us say he does come again, and he does fight them again. Will he win?
"I am not really sure. I'll just find my opening and retire from this all. Go back to the family business"
"Huh?"
"My mother had a flower shop, which got destroyed in.. An unfortunate accident. Now we own a smaller business, a medicine store. She manages to gather medicinal plants and all.. "
"What? Unfortunate accident?"
"That kid.. Sonnemuz, he.. He , in all of his cockiness went on and challenged you and Karma. You battled him, and.. He managed to blast one of your vessels. The two of you fell down and ruined my shop. And then you proceeded to beat Sonnemuz. It isn't like he quit anyway"
"Oh. Sorry. I.. I will do anything in my power to fix it."
"Dyonissius, our powers.. Aren't made for fixing. "
"I know, but still.. "
"And besides. We are the Arkwell's. We can probably fix thousands of destroyed flower shops with out capital"
"I wanna help either way"
"Hush now. You said you were here to find yourself. Let us do that now. Find ourselves."
"It is always difficult"
"Yeah. I know."
And again after one or two minutes of silence.
"Hey, Ari.. It was Karma who destroyed your shop right? Not me?"
"Actually, Karma fell on the side. You fell right on the center"
"..."
"I am kidding. Of course it was Karma. That guy is as fat as hell.. Or was.."
"Yeah.. Poor guy. Devoured by his hunger. Or so his brother says. He is one of the voices in my head"
"You really don't remember when you fell on my shop?"
"I..."
"Don't sweat it. It'll come to you. Now.. Let us be silent"
"That sounded weird"
"I agree.. Hush now"
"Hey.. I was the one who came here first"
"..."
"..."
And then.. Silence.

Ild and Sonne had been going on to fight a few mooks and Asurans. The hunt had gone pretty good for them around that time. The few hundred mooks were done with quite easily, as well as a couple of Iron Guards and Asurans. Sonne didn't like working with Ild, he seemed very slow minded.  Ild didn't like Sonne, he didn't seem as sturdy as he should be, to his morals. And there they were, fighting against a common foe. Who would have though? Who would have thought, they would end up being ensnared by a bunch of vines, from the same foe they thought they had defeated days ago. Ild uses his Hyper Combat energy to end the vines, Sonne blowed them off with his Awesomeness. Anos knew.. He knew this would not be easy. Proceeding to change the vines he formed them around his body, becoming bigger as Sonne blasted him. It was difficult as it appeared. Anos would proceed to form more and more vines and move cooser and closer until.. There was a chilling wind , going past his body, but.. He wouldn't notice that, until... He was about to be hit, but his vine cover was.. Cut apart. Every vine sliced in half, he found himself taking full impact from those hits, but as he managed to consume some of then, the remainder of the energy and the impact from the strikes damaged him. Ild proceeded to slash several times, as Anos was damaged more, and the shots from Sonne.. No.. He wouldn't take it.. He would show them his TRUE power. Soon, his body begun unmaking itself, into threads. Said threats begun growing longer and recombining, as Sonne and Ild could only watch while Anos transformed. The new being had a much larger body, a drill like left arm, which seemed more than a mixture of a lance and a drill , it's feet were tentacle like things, it had two arms coming out of the back, one giant mouth in the chest... And it was enough to scare the group when it begun firing several high speed shots. Ild tried to block them, but he once more failed to do so with every of those, as Sonne defended by blasting large numbers. But Anos, the one Man Army wasn't something to be joking about. From behind burst, a identical copy of Anos  it proceeded to pierce Sonne several times with the Lance. After the first though, he had out  his Awesomeness cloak and it did 't hurt much. Sonne went in and activated his Surge Mode, as energy flower around him, and the gun split, revealing two miniguns which he proceeded to fire, destroying the fake body. Ild used his one Super Mode, and proceeded to release many dragon bullets as the newly forming Anos bodies. The man did  not falter, he created several blasts of thorns, and so did the others. Ild defended, forming his dragon, as Sonne poured in his energy.  The dragon grew bigger as golden armor coated it, before it launched on. Three Anos copies emerged and ensnared it into the vines which were being burnt fast, as they pierced it with the lance hands. The real Anos extended his back arms into gigantic shapes as he prepared to grab the duo. Sonne blasted the left one as Ild did with the right one. Then Ild spun his sword as.. A spiraling surge of energy was released , taking the shape of a dragon as it went for the real Anos. The mouth opened and absorbed the energy letting out a huge beam of hyper combat energy itself, which Ild and Sonne were hit with.  But.. As the smoke from the blast cleared, the two were standing there, dead serious, them bleeding, but... There would be no pain... Just wrath. And then... Sonne charged his energy and his hands went forward Kamehameha style, holding his miniguns together as he shouted. spiral awesomeness Fire", while Ild.. Ild rose his sword as light fell on it before he flung it downwards, the energy spreading into circular waves "Hyper Force Wave"... And their attacks merged, the fire growing bigger and brighter, more numerous, larger, greater.. Brighter.. "Combined charge: Awesomeness Hyper Fiery Attack". The name was very long. And they were shouting it out loud. Yeah... Anos was fucked. As the light went past him.. He could see. His body.. The scientists operating him. Professor Frank... A honored man who lost his life. He knew Frank very well. He would trust the man his life, as he did.... Frank only had his wife, as his parents were dead. His wife was pregnant at the time actually.. Anos , Anos had two kids... He had given his life to Dr.Sonnemuz ... He would fight for Dr.Sonnemuz. He.. He remembered everything else. In the darkness he saw his new being... He.. He was alone. His past was gone.  And he was now a monster... But he still had friends, Karma, Ari, Dyonissius, Nealon... And he was dying.. As a monster. He had to wonder, did Frank, who was pretty much in the same working pattern.. Working for Dr.Sonnemuz ever meet his child, or see his wife again? Anos surely did not. And there he felt it.. His arm had been destroyed, his tentacled feet, his torso, his other arms, his lance hand... His head.. And finally his heart was torn apart at the same time. Anos had left this world for good. The remains of his body caught ablaze, as it fired through the iron cover, which proceeded to again fix itself in a few moments.

"Look over there.. A shooting star. But.. Why is it going up? -asked Dyonissius.
"It's gonna come down eventually"
And... Indeed the flying lights were coming down their way. Awesomeness was guiding its path in the sky, as the remainder... Just a small picture of Anos family which had been much burned, and could barely be seen.. It was almost gone, and then.. It fell right before them. The green remains, the grass like green parts were around it.. They knew it was Anos... He had gone, but unlike Karma, he would find peace.. Would he?
A few minutes later. The stones were all piled up, as the photo had been buried in the hole, Ari and Dyonissius managed to open. The stones were there as a memorial, before Ari melted them with her flames. These ones were usual flames, warm, bright.. Unlike the flames she usually emitted. The stones had been melted by the extremely heated flames, and into a more proper grave...  Normally, that would be outright impossible and stupid, but... Awesomeness could alter the rules. Its energy.. It was all around the area, as it made the melting go smoothly. Anos had a resting place now.. He could finally sleep. Ari and Dyonissius left the place..
"So... Did you find any piece of yourself?-Ari asked.
"I think I did."
"That's good. "
"Is it? What if.. The truth I seek is not really what I imagined, what if it is something ugly and hated, what if.. "-but the. He was interrupted as Ari's index finger moved up to his mouth, halting his speech.
"At least the effort you got for it, should be satisfactory"-she said, removing her hand
"But.. I.. I don't know. I... "-he said confused, but.. He didn't think he should have been. He.. He had to feel happy, compelled to feel so, after this long.. And so he smiled and said " Eh.. Guess I can think about that later. For now... I am going to take a vacation.. And fix that destroyed shop"
