  1. What draws me to the Steam platform has been the artistic community that has grown from it over the years. There are so many creative and skilled artists, designers, and coders who use Steam as a central hub for their work - whether that be guides, artwork, screenshots, coding projects, workshop submissions, and so on. Steam has evolved past just a gaming platform, and even though I rarely play games these days I find myself coming back to Steam time after time to meet new people and explore new user generated content. What makes the Steam artwork community special to me is that it is very much based off of creative collaboration. There is always a new idea or design that inspires myself and others, and using the creativity of others as a building block for my own imagination is really what I think art is all about. When I see a new design, I don't just see a piece of art that was created from thin air. I see a culmination of different influences from people around the community, as well as the artist's own vision. They created something new from something old, which will in turn go on to influence others to do the same. It's like a big group project, everyone has their own artistic contribution that is unique to them, and being a part of that is really cool.
