- >It's a little after midnight when you hear the quiet clattering of pebbles against glass.
- >Stumbling from your bed, you stagger over to the window and hoist it open.
- >The cool night air makes the hairs all over your body stand up at attention, quickly rousing you from the pleasant haze of sleep.
- >Your eyes slowly adjust to the dull light of the full moon high overhead, at last focusing in on the source of the noise.
- >Sunset Shimmer stands on the lawn with a duffel bag thrown over her shoulder, a hand cocked on her hip and a delicate smile on her lips.
- >"Took you long enough."
- >Grunting, you rub at your face and ask her what she's doing out there.
- >"I couldn't sleep. Mind if I come up?"
- >Wait, what?
- >The last remnants of sleep fall away as you realize she's serious, the expectant smile on her lips speaking volumes.
- >Before you can even think of sending her away, Sunset trots over to the window.
- >You have a few seconds to position your late-night erection in such a way that it won't embarrass you before the red headed girl hoists up her bag to the window.
- >It takes some stretching on both of your parts, but you eventually pull the bag inside.
- >As you come back to the window, Sunset holds up her arms.
- >"Now me."
- >She can't be serious.
- >You tell her as much, but from the impish smile on her lips she's thinking otherwise.
- >Taking a few steps back, the girl rushes towards the window again, leaping into the air and planting her foot on the wall to give her an extra little boost.
- >You give a quiet yelp as you strain your arms and back reaching for Sunset, grabbing hold of her hands by what could only be described as pure luck.
- >The pressure on your back increases as Sunset plants her feet on the wall and begins the climb up to your window.
- >After several grueling seconds, you manage to pull yourself back into the bedroom and Sunset quickly follows suit.
- >You both collapse in a heap, the girl beside you still grinning and clutching your hand in hers.
- >As much as you want to berate her for being stupid, the delicate features framed by the dull light of the moon take away what little breath you manage to catch.
- >After a moment, you ask again what she's doing here.
- >"Like I said," she replies with a brush of her hair behind her ear, "I couldn't sleep. My room felt too empty so I thought I'd come see you."
- >Whatever.
- >You tell her that you're both probably getting too old to be sneaking around after dark and climbing into each others windows.
- >That's why the ladder was locked up in the garage now after all.
- >Sunny rolls her eyes and then rolls to her feet.
- >"All right. We can talk more in the morning. I'll go get changed."
- >With that, the young woman snags her bag and hurries off into your bathroom.
- >You stretch out against the floor for a while longer, thinking about how long it's been since your first encounter with the bossy emerald eyed girl.
- >It's been years since the two of you met, and up until a year ago you had been all but inseparable.
- >Some things happened, things neither of you were especially proud of; things that changed the way you looked at her.
- >The rough and tumble girl who always seemed to have her nose in everyone else's business had, somewhere along the way, started to become a woman.
- >The very thought made your heart flutter uncomfortably.
- >In the bathroom, you finally hear the faucet shut off.
- >Whatever.
- >Sunset will be coming out soon, and it would be best for you to be in bed so that the two of you can get comfortable.
- >Scrambling onto the mattress, you squirm down until you manage to get comfortable, right as the door opens.
- >A thin beam of artificial light stretches out long and lingering across the floor until a click plunges the room back into relative darkness.
- >The carpeted floor creeks under the gentle weight of Sunset's feet.
- >You close your eyes, listening to the sounds of her approach.
- >Your nose picks up on the scent of a body soaking up sunshine, fresh, clean, and slightly ticklish in your nostrils.
- >The sheets covering you rustle, and you feel the tender touch of bare flesh and lacy...
- >Wait, what?
- >Your eyes snap open and you see Sunset's large green eyes staring up at you.
- >In the pale light you can see two pinkish red straps settled on her otherwise bare shoulders, supporting a frilly piece of negligee you'd never seen before in the same color.
- >Sunset shifts her legs, again sliding the soft, supple skin against you as she whispers in a quiet voice.
- >"Is everything okay?"
- >Your heart thuds away in your ears as you try to drink in the scene.
- >Sunset raises an eyebrow and sticks out her lips ever so slightly, which almost makes your eyes cross.
- >Your breathing comes in shallow, ineffective bursts as you try to process all of this.
- >It's too much.
- >As though sensing your distress, Sunset lifts herself up towards the head of the bed and, taking hold of your face, pulls up against her.
- >Your cheek presses against the lacy cloth covering her stomach and, despite your squirming, manages to hold you in place.
- >"Shh," she encourages, sliding her fingers along the back of your neck and tickling through your hair. "Calm down, everything's fine."
- >You gulp, wanting to take her word for it, but her forwardness is throwing you off.
- >But as you continue to lie in the bed with her, the slow, rhythmic breathing of Sunset Shimmer begins to calm your frayed nerves.
- >Underneath her cool exterior, you can feel her muscles jump and twitch as you hold yourself close.
- >When your head rises with each breath, her belly trembles.
- >It's impossible to say if it's from fear, or excitement, or anticipation, or even a forty minute ab program.
- >But the gentle, rhythmic, predictable sensation slowly pulls you away from your concerns and points you back towards dreamland.
- >Reaching up, you entangle your fingers with hers, breathing gently against her body as you nestle deeper into the firm pillow of her flesh.
- >You just hope there aren't too many questions tomorrow...
