- Absolutely heartbreaking seeing Doc and Pete fight. You can feel so much raw emotion during their final encounter from Doc revealing his identity that he knew. And how the bond the two shared for years from interning to him using guerilla science utilizing cost effective parts as a solution, attending his college graduation and so much more. Even their interactions bounce off one another in a lovely chemistry full of optimism, hope and a belief they both can change the world for the better. From calling him a hero, worshiping him, to working together on countless projects. So to see all those wonderful memories and fond moments become all the more bittersweet, sour and full of negative emotions fraying at the edges of doc’s mind since Norman once again coming into the equation. I feel for ock. I really do. And I wish he and Peter didn’t come to blows. Spider-man wants to save the city from the epidemic and doc wants norman to suffer and finally reveal who he is to the world beyond the facade of his mayor profession. And by the one above all, I kid you not I was gritting my teeth real hard as tears poured down my face hearing doc call peter a son. And while parker didn’t say he thought of him like a dad. Cause we know that’s good o’l uncle Ben. I would bet good money he treated doc somewhat like a dad as well. I mean who would stay years interning instead of some other job for a stable income. Must be some good guy named peter parker. Man who is the king of wanting to help the little guys.

Oh and bless her heart MJ helping Pete right before the final battle. Giving him support on what to do as he battles his internal struggle to help/save doc and most importantly HOW. oml seeing Peter struggle is such a bittersweet feeling because i know the feeling he is dealing with due to how many countless moments he shared with Ock in the lab. God. So when Pete drives the mechanical tentacle deeper into his already bloody shoulder to grant him the chance to defeat Ock once and for all I knew he made his choice and UGHHHHH it pains me to see their final interaction so much. Octavius pleading for help. While Peter leaves is such a powerful note to end.

And Peter’s face details all his troubled emotions and regret. Man this is one of the rare times I wish I could give him a hug and say “its all right” god damn. I hope Doc returns in the future because they could do some super spectacular stuff from what I lightly skimmed in the comics of what’s to come. And if Insomniac can adapt ‘that’ storyline really well. Well... The results can only be… Superior to this storyline. Won’t say anymore than that.

I also want to take the time to appreciate Aunt May here. I didn’t expect to see her like this and how she has known for a little while about pete as spider-man. And how Pete struggles so hard. Because he can’t lose her like this after being together for so long. After raising him after Ben died. So seeing him lay down the cure and sob after already losing Ock by defeating him is beyond words Insomniac throwing no punches in giving us multiple deaths here. I am tired. And I don’t think my heart can take anymore from this if Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 hits heavier emotional weight. Also nice cool detail I missed earlier on, but upon replaying the scene. The heart monitor flatlines. So even if peter injected the serum I don't think it would’ve worked. This revolves once again how Peter is late again in saving the ones he wants to save. He can’t save everyone despite trying so hard. My heart ahhhhhhh

I think Peter becoming a mentor for Miles is the right way to go. Was wondering how Miles becomes spider-man so teaching Miles after revealing he has powers would be a cool way to go. And I wish Insomniac didn’t tease me like this. I need like 40+ hours of Peter teaching miles cutscenes. AHHHHH there is so much potential. Also seeing Harry Osborn in his father’s secret corporate offices locked up in a lab with Venom? Is such a reveal I didn’t expect. Guess his dad knocked him out before heading to Europe? Or he already knew then.

DLC thoughts after beating them - Same spoiler warning above -

Heist - Black cat - damn doing the miscellaneous activities of finding old cats paintings turns out i was played like a damn fiddle by HIM PLAYING AS A DETECTIVE AHHH. Walter Hardy is alive. Ahhhh. Funny how he is trying to pry info from peter on him and felicia’s relationship. I kinda suspected it early on. When more conversations between the two occurred revealing some interesting information he wouldn’t know as a detective.
Holy what is this bombshell felicia you have a son and it could be peters???
Really cool team up with black cat along with getting her assistance during combat to take down enemies stealthily. Reminds me of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
Omfg felicia lied and it was all to get the maggia’s and mobsters money. Peter pleads with her. And tries to save her and then she dies we see her get blown to bits? But unconfirmed since no body. GOD DAMN IT. Hope she lives. Her dynamic with Peter revealed some interesting details about their past I wish we knew more. Also felt MJ was slightly jealous? Maybe? When Peter discusses Black Cat to MJ lol.
Wish this dlc explored more of Black Cat and Peter’s past relationship when they were dating and irl I guess. Seemed cool with how she hung up her costume too. Until she got back her gear lol.

Turfwars - Don’t like this one. Too many follow missions. New enemy type. With some interesting development with Yuri. Thankfully it was a short dlc. Still I hope Yuri returns because I think her friendship with peter is so awesome.

Silver Lining  - Most sidequests done. One for symkaria hideouts for Sable/Symkaria civil war lore and the other a crime mystery which closes out Yuri’s involvement. Dang i wonder if she’ll return in Spider-man 2 or in Spider-man 2 dlc. Yuri that is. The crime scene investigations were pretty cool and revealed how Yuri is disillusioned by the police system. Seems she’ll be taking down criminals as a lethal vigilante. The hideout tasks were nice to get some lore on Symkaria and Sable by extension. The ending of this DLC was nice. We finally get development on Sable not hating Peter’s guts and working together as a team. Hope she wins in the civil war. MJ heads off to Symkaria to cover the news reporting there and Peter starts his training on Miles.

If there is one thing I super love about this dlc is how each dlc after a main mission Miles will call Peter and ask him how to be Spider-man and be ready for it. But Peter is all like hold up my dude. Focus on school then we go spidey training. And this is ironically funny because Miles is the same age as Pete with getting powers and being spidey at his age while balancing school. So its a nice looking in the mirror once again hahaha.

If there was some things I didn’t like in the DLC’s it would be screwball being integrated in all three dlc's. Her antics of wanting to get followers, likes, subs and reeling in spiderman like a media hotfish for clicks is imo cringe and quite honestly tiring. Where the hell is deadpool. I need him to take her out and replace her with some other character. Imagine if we had MJ missions instead. Omfg would be a massive improvement already. Thankfully we don’t need to complete her side activities, but I still don’t like that we had to do 1 mandatory one in each dlc to progress the story. Feels like a weak attempt to add filler. Overall very nice dlc to playthrough for those hungry after the main story of Marvel's Spider-man.

I also played through Spider-man Miles Morales too and I still can't get over Pete's face being more Tom Hollandy instead of the OG ahhhhhhhh. Anyways, If you guys read through all this. Then all I have to say is you guys are true heroes. Thank you!
