- alright since its your first time editing the spreadsheet let me try and come up with a full explanation of how to update it
- I'll write something here whilst u finish the thread on season results
- to update overall points:
- - right click at the top to make a new column for the season you're putting in.
- - you need to follow the colour code I hope it's simple enough. So here because WC1 was yellow, season 5 would be orange. You will need to change the colours of all of the subsequent columns to follow the colour code. Don't worry about the colours for the top 10 at this stage.
- - edit the formulas in WT, RT, P/SP to include the new column
- - then the next thing to do is to put in each individual's results. (You will probably have to add in some new rows for players getting ranked for the first time. Remember to remove any empty rows you make by the time u finish entering results)
- - then order the sheet by:
- -- alphabetical, then
- -- P/SP, then
- -- weighted total
- - then pull the maximum points row down to the bottom and make sure that the line separating the maximum from the results is bold
- - for the Rank column, start with 1 in the first row, 2 in the second row, then drag it down and it should fill out 3, 4, etc. as you need. Then when 2 players have equal everything (i.e. the same weighted total & P/SP) then they should have the same rank (the highest rank any of them have before you make the change)
- - then the #1 player should have a gold row, the #2 player should have a silver row, and the #3 player should have a bronze row (should be the same shades as the current ones so make sure u get that right)
- - then make the players ranked 4-10 have darker shades for the colour in each cell
- - put a dashed line between players #10 & #11 and make sure there are no other dashed lines between rows
- it's a rather long list but I tried to be as thorough as possible lol...
- and then for the other sheets
- the mt winners & # of mt wins and equivalent sheets for seasons should be straightforward to update but when uve done them lmk and i can correct u if u did anything wrong ^^

- oh okay, that will take some time but ill try to finish it soonish (so probs next week)
- Disaster Area - Today at 16:19
- yeah, it takes
- tjdaas - Today at 16:19
- but i understand what you mean
- Disaster Area - Today at 16:19
- the most time of any single task
- of hosting
- and player rankings: my advice is go to the rby spreadsheet (I will give u edit access to it) and copy the ranking of the same number so u don't have to worry about colour codes, then make 3 columns for it on the player rankings sheet and paste it there. Then fill in the data for it. U should do the forum thread first...
- there are some style notes too like u want the white space at the bottom to be merged under each ranking so its not distracting, and u want bold lines between when 2 rankings meet etc
- and also a dashed line between rank 10 and 11
- ok u should have edit access now to the rby sheet too

- ah nice ty
- Disaster Area - Today at 16:21
- also once uve done it all u can add in the remarks tab that u also are one of the maintainers lol :P
- tjdaas - Today at 16:21
- hahaha will do
- So you mean I should update this one first: http://www.pokemonperfect.com/forums/index.php?threads/adv-1u-player-rankings-2.4659/
- By making a new one
- Disaster Area - Today at 16:22
- yeah
- btw I find that
- tjdaas - Today at 16:22
- ah okay
- Disaster Area - Today at 16:22
- its helpful to do the overall points
- before doing the player rankings
- cos its easier to get data from just 1 source that way
- tjdaas - Today at 16:23
- yeah true
