  1. Many times, Grozan has tasted the bitter nectar of defeat. In his mind, this vicious taste was but a drop from the deluge that faced him if he kept along his arrogant path. Grim had defeated Grozan with no effort at all, even with his half shift. His mother was asleep and for a long time Grozan believed she would not wake. The universe itself was target to the malevolent Kalze and the war mongering Saiyans. His father was one to show initiative in the face of crisis, but if he were ever to fall the burden upon the small groups shoulders would become too heavy. The answer to his worries and doubts lay within his grasp… and yet, it felt as if he would never reach it.
  2. The time of relying on others was over. Grozan needed to protect his friends and family himself. His Hera side fueled this ideal and would ultimately be the way to achieve his goal. The full power of the Hera is a technique that provides power that rivals the strongest in the universe, the only problem being that Grozan lacked control of the energy used to achieve this form. Try as he might, he simply couldn’t develop the ability to control the energy. It flowed out of him like a busted damn. Full power is pretty useless when it runs out so quickly.
  3. Grozan was alone. The forest of Arconia were wonderous and provided him shelter from the overbearing sun. He looked up at the shiny green leaves which danced around the light creaking its way through the dense foliage. It made Grozan rest his eyes. In the fog, a simple idea cam into his head. The leaves swayed with the wind, letting the light only break through when they became too scattered. Perhaps his energy was the same. An ever-present force leaking from his body. Instead of releasing his power in a short burst…. What if he focused the energy into something more manageable. Father always talked about his muscles hurting while in the form. Of course! Grozan shot up hitting his head on a branch. The epiphany ran short as the sharp pain replaced it. Then another thought occurred to him. The bark of the tree was like scales that protected the soft wood underneath. Solid, yet flexible and able to withstand more force due to these qualities.
  4. That was it…Instead of focusing the power into his muscles and suffering fatigue, he could imbue his scales with the same energy. Since the scales were mailable and flexible like the bark, he could move to his fullest while still possessing the same power. Instead of relying on others to teach him, he would take the initiative and combine his ancestry into one.
  5. He began by using his finger as a test. The scales began to armor up and the energy seemed to enter them, but as his finger expanded the scales fell off. This was disheartening to say the least. They wouldn’t stay… Grozan needed to figure out why this was happening. He practiced for hours, then days, then weeks. He was incapable of hardening his finger and using full power. Frustrated, Grozan went to the nearest mountain top. The dragon in him loved these sorts of perches. This particular mountain was located upon an island that seemed to be constantly pelted with thunderstorms.
  6. He thought that if he could just focus a little more, the technique would work. The storm around him seemed to reach an apex. Lightening smacked the earth around him as he gritted his teeth. Then, a Bolt hit the hilt of his giant sword. This shock went through Grozan Right as the scales fell apart. It went It stayed. The scales had become tempered like glass. Smooth, rigid, yet completely flexible, it was miraculous. After a few months of training, Grozan was able to reproduce this feat by using his electric energy as a catalyst for the bond to take effect. The hard part was over, replicating this over his whole body came naturally like the half shift. He had finally achieved control of his power.
