  1. CONTEXT FOR THIS ADVENTURE
  2. - Part 1 has most of the present day, including the intro
  3. - Part 2 has the village of Maya and Curse Mountain in the present day, including the outro
  4. - Part 3 has the world of the past
  5. Since this design means we'll be jumping around between all three files as the adventure unfolds, I figured it would be easiest to give the entire story up here, so every line should make more sense.
  6.
  7. This adventure takes place in a huge mountainous area called "The World's Staircase", which includes the Gorgon Mountains, Steep Step, Rising Cliff, and Curse Mountain (which is an active volcano).
  8. The map layout is basically this:
  9.
  10. (Mountain range,
  11. (Active volcano, =========== Hut in the Mountains Rising Morning Sun's Cliff
  12. (Time Wizard's home) Curse of Dragon's lair) | | is here)
  13. Clifftop Forest Curse Mountain | ============================= Rising Cliff
  14. | | | |
  15. Western Mountain Range ======= Maya village ============ Steep Step Gorgon Mountain
  16. (Mountain range) (Mountain range) (Mountain range)
  17.
  18. A timeline of events in this adventure:
  19. 1000 YEARS AGO:
  20. - At some point, Thousand Dragon and Koumori Dragon fight, and Thousand Dragon scars Koumori Dragon's wing.
  21. - At some point, some humans get lost on Curse Mountain. Thousand Dragon rescues them and returns them to Maya, which causes the humans and Thousand Dragon to get closer to each other. They become friends and play, and the dragon grows to love the village.
  22. - Curse of Dragon causes Curse Mountain to erupt, because messing with the humans and destroying their village and ruining their lives sounds fun. No one knows that Curse of Dragon is the cause of the eruption.
  23. - Thousand Dragon uses his Thousand Nose Breath attack to repel the lava and defend the village. The repelled lava unintentionally destroys Curse of Dragon's lair on top of Curse Mountain.
  24. - Curse of Dragon attacks Thousand Dragon, who's weakened from repelling the lava.
  25. - <Time Travel> Baby Dragon and Yugi attack and defeat Curse of Dragon.
  26. - <Time Travel> Baby Dragon and Yugi return to the present.
  27. - Curse of Dragon reveals he is immortal and revives. Koumori Dragon flies in and sees this.
  28. - As revenge for ruining his lair, Curse of Dragon curses Thousand Dragon, sealing him in an egg.
  29. - Curse of Dragon pushes the egg off of the cliff, and it lands in Maya.
  30.
  31. SOME TIME IN THE PAST:
  32. - Time Wizard's son is sick and dies of illness in the original timeline. But Time Wizard uses his time magic to travel back in time and give him medicine before it's too late.
  33. - Time Wizard takes on an apprentice named Dent.
  34. - Time Wizard's son falls off a cliff and dies. Time Wizard learns that you can't use time tochange fate - it's not possible to save his son. Even if he does prevent him from dying now, fate will just act to kill him again in a slightly different way.
  35. - Time Wizard becomes a recluse and vows to never use time magic again.
  36. - At some point (possibly more than 1000 years ago), Curse of Dragon recruits Koumori Dragon and Harpie Lady to work for him. He has them monitor the egg and ensure it never hatches. He wants Thousand Dragon to suffer eternally.
  37.
  38. RECENTLY BEFORE THE ADVENTURE BEGINS:
  39. - Curse of Dragon has been causing Curse Mountain to become active again. He wants to try destroying Maya once more.
  40. - Many Maya villagers have fled, abandoning their village to try to reach safety.
  41. - 10 days ago, a young man named Tao has taken the egg and gone east, hoping to revive the legendary dragon and save the village. He has been harassed by Harpie Lady since then, who wants to stop the egg from hatching.
  42. - Thousand Dragon has grown jaded and bitter over the past 1000 years in the egg. He blames the villagers for it and vows to not help them again. In his mind, he did a good deed on a whim in saving the village, and his only thanks was being cursed.
  43.
  44. PRESENT DAY:
  45. - The adventure begins. Yugi finds Tao on the brink of death and gets the egg from him.
  46. - Yugi hatches the egg on the far side of Rising Cliff, in accordance with an ancient legend. Baby Dragon emerges from the egg, the curse preventing him from returning to his original form.
  47. - Baby Dragon wants to defeat Curse of Dragon to break the curse. They climb Curse Mountain, receiving a Curse-Sealing Stake along the way, and meet Koumori Dragon.
  48. - Koumori Dragon lies, claiming to be the grandson of the original Koumori Dragon. He says the original Koumori Dragon died of illness, as did Curse of Dragon. This means Yugi and Baby Dragon believe dispelling the curse in the present day is impossible (Since they need to kill Curse of Dragon to break the curse, and you can't kill what's already dead).
  49. - Yugi and Baby Dragon meet Time Wizard, who refuses to help them due to his own past negative experience with trying to defy fate.
  50. - Yugi and Baby Dragon save Dent from Harpie Lady. Grateful, Time Wizard's faith and empathy is restored.
  51. - <Time Travel> Time Wizard sends the heroes back 1000 years into the past to kill Curse of Dragon, hoping that will change fate and make it so Baby Dragon is never cursed in the first place.
  52. - <Time Travel> Yugi and Baby Dragon return from the past, but the curse is not broken (Because Curse of Dragon was secretly immortal - so they failed their goal to kill Curse of Dragon).
  53. - Yugi and Baby Dragon return to Curse Mountain. After revisiting the past, Baby Dragon remembers small details that he had forgotten while trapped in the egg for so long.
  54. - They confront Koumori Dragon, and Baby Dragon points out the scar on his wing. Koumori Dragon admits his true identity, reveals that he's working with Harpie Lady under Curse of Dragon, and fights Baby Dragon.
  55. - They go to Curse of Dragon's lair and confront him. He admits that he's the one causing the volcano to erupt, and his motivation is just doing it for fun.
  56. - They defeat Curse of Dragon and impale him with the Curse-Sealing Stake. That prevents his revival and breaks the curse. With his last breath, Curse of Dragon claims that it's now too late to stop the eruption.
  57. - Baby Dragon returns to his original Thousand Dragon form, carries Yugi to the village, and once again defends it by repelling the lava with his Thousand Nose Breath.

  99. [All of this dialogue plays in sequence as a cutscene once you start this Monster World level]
  100.

  119. You take monsters with you on your aimless wandering.
  120. [TN: These first lines are used at the start of *EVERY* single RPG world introduction. We should be consistent with them]
  121.
  122. You've arrived at the far-off "World's Staircase"
  123. You step into the harsh Gorgon mountain range
  124. There's no sign of anyone around. The cries of ominous birds echo through the eerie cliffs as they scavenge from fallen adventures on the harsh mountain paths
  125.
  126. [Yugi walks to the next screen. A young man is lying down in the middle of the path, seemingly badly injured]
  130. There is a youth alone, collapsed on the roadside. [TN: "Side of the path"? Or just "on the path"? Since mountains don't really have roads...]
  131.
  132. [Yugi approaches the man, Tao, who speaks]
  133. ......
  139. ...Is... someone there?
  140. M... my name is Tao.
  141. I'm already... [TN: Literally "I am already useless/no good/not allowed". He's saying he's going to die]
  142. Traveler, I beg you... take this egg...
  143.
  144. [Tao gives Yugi a large egg, yellow with big red spots on it]
  149. Please raise it well... [TN: The word used here is "rippa ni", which could mean "elegantly", "respectably", "splendidly", "admirably", etc. So I just chose to translate it as "well" here, but we could use a different term if needed]
  150. The legendary... dragon...
  151. Then, the village...
  152. Save it... pl... ease...
  153. [TN: For context, we later learn from NPC's that Tao is from the village of Maya on the other side of the mountains. He left with the egg 10 days ago in order to find some way to hatch it, revive the legendary dragon within, and save the village from destruction]
  154.
  155. [DM narrates]
  161. Yes, the youth's last words are to entrust this small, speckled egg to the adventurer.
  162. With that, he takes his final breath...
  163.
  164. [Harpie Lady flies down towards Tao and speaks. After this dialogue, she fights you]
  174. Tsk, this guy died in a place like this... [TN: The word she uses for "died" here is "kutabatte", which is apparently a vulgar way of saying it in Japanese. Might find a similarly rude way to word this in the translation]
  175. He sure ran away a lot! [TN: The "a lot" here could also be "terrible at", such as "He was terrible at running away, wasn't he!" The important bit is just that she's taunting him for fleeing her so much]
  176. ...Hm?
  177. What, are you one of his friends too?
  178. Ohohoho!
  179. I'll kill you too, just like him! [TN: Very unclear on this one. Literally "You too, like him, in addition, kill", but those words could have multiple meanings and not be 100% accurate]
  180.
  181. [After beating Harpie Lady, she speaks before fleeing]
  185. Kh! That egg will never be allowed to hatch!
  186. Remember that!
  187.
  188. [DM narrates]

  203. ...Heh heh, it seems like the adventurer has gotten involved in some trouble.
  204. What exactly is this egg?
  205. What will be born from it?
  206. Without knowing what will happen from here, the adventurer heeds the collapsed youth's wishes.
  207. You must safely hatch the egg and raise it well.
  208. That's the goal of this adventure!
  209.
  210. ===================================================
  211.
  212. [The egg begins to speak at the end of the intro. The first dialogue from the egg here is not labelled, so the player is not supposed to know who's speaking at this point]
  215. ...Oi! Can you hear me?
  216. It's me!
  217.
  218. [DM narrates]
  221. You can hear a voice coming from nowhere!?
  222.
  223. [The egg responds again. From now on, its speech is labelled "Egg", so the player should now know that it is the source of the conversation]
  232. I'm the egg right in front of you!
  233. Well, for now, please head along this mountain path to "Rising Cliff"!
  234. [TN: Audio cue plays]
  235. "Rising Morning Sun's Cliff" should be there! Please bring me there! [TN: This translation is a bit awkward and literal. We should rework the small cliff's name for clarity... Could also literally be something like "Cliff of the Rising Morning Sun", "Cliff Rising to the Morning Sun", "Cliff Where the Morning Sun Rises", etc.]
  236. [TN: Note that the mountain we're going to, "Rising Cliff", is written in English: "Raishingu Curiffu". But the place *on* that mountain that we want to bring the egg to, "Rising Morning Sun's Cliff", is written in Japanese: "Asahi no noboru gake". So they're not necessarily the same word, they're just similar]
  237.
  238. ===================================================
  239.
  240. [Entering Rising Cliff]
  246. You've come to Rising Cliff.
  247. Here, every 10 steps, there's a 30% chance of monsters appearing by dice roll.
  248.
  249. [The egg speaks automatically once you reach the far end of Rising Cliff]
  256. Yes, we're here! This is definitely the "Rising Morning Sun's Cliff"!
  257. [TN: Audio cue plays]
  258. Please place me gently on that one isolated rock there! [TN: For context, there is one rock standing out at the far end of the Rising Cliff area. That's what he wants to be placed on. The rock looks about as tall as Yugi does, if that helps translate this at all]
  259.
  260. [All of the below cutscene plays in sequence (other than the battle in the middle) once you approach that rock]
  261.
  262. [Yugi puts the egg on that one rock. The egg speaks again]
  272. A new light shines through the morning dew on the twin rocks to the east. Time flows from the deep seal ...So says an old legend of this region. [TN: So this is just supposed to be a flowery prophecy known in this region for how to break this part of the curse, the part that's sealing the dragon in the egg]
  273. [TN: The first sentence here references this spot: Placing the egg on the rock on the far side of this cliff, presumably at sunrise? The second sentence references the result: The dragon was sealed in the egg for 1000 years by the curse, but now time will flow for him again and he will hatch]
  274. Now, shine on me, light!
  275. With this, I can be resurrected! Yahoo!
  276.
  277. [Harpie Lady flies down and speaks]
  282. Ohohoho!
  283. I'm afraid you are forever unable to return to normal... [TN: This is literal but reads weird in English, so we should rephrase it. She means that she won't let the egg hatch and the dragon return to his original form]
  284. This is the end!
  285.
  286. [The egg responds]
  290. You again!
  291. What the heck? Why are you targeting me!?
  292.
  293. [Harpie Lady responds. After this dialogue, she fights you again]
  297. Shut up! We'll bury you in darkness together with this kid!
  298.
  299. [After beating Harpie Lady again, she speaks]
  305. S-shit! [TN: "Kuzo!"]
  306. This darn human got in my way! [TN: Literally it's "Human is <jama> <shitotte>". Shiotte has no translation in English, but is a verb used to show disgust or contempt, so I put "darn" here for it. "Jama" is used a lot by Harpie Lady and Curse of Dragon in this arc, and I think that might be a hint that they're working together. We should be consistent with how we translate it.]
  307. What the heck...
  308. ...! Ah! Oh no! [TN: This last line is supposed to be her panicked reaction to the egg hatching]
  309.
  310. [The egg hatches into Baby Dragon. DM narrates]
  314. A little Baby Dragon came out of the egg!
  315.
  316. [Baby Dragon responds]
  317. やった!
  325. Awesome! [TN: "Yatta!"]
  326. I finally got out of that egg!
  327. Yay! Woohoo! Banzai! Heck! Yatta! [TN: Lots of random celebratory cheers. Should just replace them with reasonable English cheers]
  328. Yup! As I thought, the fresh air is good!
  329.
  330. ===================================================
  331.
  332. [Harpie Lady responds before flying off]
  339. D-darn!
  340. Oh no, the egg hatched...
  341. I must report this...
  342. Baby Dragon!
  343. ...I'll definitely destroy you!
  344.
  345. [No source]
  346. [I imagine this was *intended* to follow the above line by Harpie Lady: Baby Dragon protests that she's calling him "Baby Dragon" when he's actually over 1000 years old, but she ignores it and just threatens you before leaving. But in the actual game, these lines do not play. I imagine they were dummied out.]

  356. D-don't call me Baby!
  357. Even like this, I'm still older than you!
  358. And...
  359. The human who got in our way! [TN: She uses "jama" again here]
  360. You can't escape any more! Get ready for it!
  361. Ohohoho!
  362.
  363. ===================================================
  364.
  365. [Baby Dragon continues speaking after hatching]

  393. Thank you for bringing me this far!
  394. The truth is, I have been cursed by the dreaded "Curse of Dragon", trapped in the form of an egg for 1000 years. [TN: Literally he was "cursed by the cursed dragon Curse of Dragon". That's too many curses for one sentence, so I replaced it with "dreaded"]
  395. I am now a child dragon, but if I break the Curse of Dragon's curse, I should go back to my true form. [TN: Literally uses "child", but I think it might sound more natural to call him "a baby dragon"]
  396. I want to return to my true form, no matter what...
  397. Not going back is unacceptable!
  398. By the way, you have some strong monsters, yeah?
  399. What a surprise!
  400. On the way, scary monsters like those guys might attack, so I need strong allies! [TN: Because Japanese doesn't use many pronouns, I can't be certain here if he's trying to say you need him as a strong ally in case strong monsters attack you, or he needs you as a strong ally in case strong monsters attack him. I think it's the latter though, since he was going on about how strong your monsters are, and how important his quest is to him]
  401. ...So, please! Won't you please help me break my curse?
  402. What will you do?
  403. Help
  404. That's a hassle [TN: Could be "bothersome", etc. Just a dismissive response in general]
  405.
  406. [This dialogue plays if you refuse to help Baby Dragon]
  409. Hey, don't say such a selfish thing, okay?
  410. I beg you! Please help me!
  411. [TN: It will repeat the "What will you do?" options from here until you agree to help]
  412.
  413. [Accepting Baby Dragon]

  425. As for me, well...
  426.

  455. ...Fine!
  456. For now, let's go west!
  457. The curse was placed on me at Curse of Dragon's lair. [TN: Could be lair, residence, etc. It's just the very top of Curse Mountain. This term is used a few times in this RPG world, so we should be consistent with our choice]
  458. [TN: An audio cue plays]
  459. First of all, let's head towards Curse Mountain!
  460.

  478. Wahahaha!
  479. Whether earthquakes or volcanic eruptions or anything!
  480.
  481. [Talking to the man after breaking his wall]

  524.
  525. [All of the below cutscene plays in sequence once you reach the leftmost area of Steep Step. Tea is hanging from the edge of the cliff. The context is that, some time shortly before you entered the area, she saw a rare capsule off the edge of the cliff, and wanted to get and give it to you to help make your quest earlier. But in the process, she fell off the cliff, and is only barely hanging on]
  526.

  539. Hold on tight!
  540. There we go! [TN: Literally this line is a call like "Heave-ho!" that you do when hoisting something up, since he's pulling her up the cliff. But I don't think that sounds right in English - I don't think we would actually say anything like that, so I put "There we go!" instead to represent the same thing]
  541.
  542. [Yami Yugi pulls her up the cliff]

  579. In the past, I was the one to help you when you were being bullied...
  580. You're not the same weakling you used to be! [TN: This is a reference to the early Yu-Gi-Oh! manga chapters when Yugi was a shy lonely kid whose only friend was Tea, and he was often bullied. She used to stand up to Joey/Tristan for him when they bullied him]
  581.
  582. [Yami Yugi responds]

  599. You know how sometimes there are big rocks along the path?
  600. If you fill the holes in the ground by pushing those rocks, it seems you'll be able to reach inaccessible paths.
  601. The rock will fall in different places depending on which direction you push it, so be careful! [TN: This is a hint towards the giant boulders you find on cliff edges in this adventure. You can push them left, right, or down. When you push them, they fall down the cliff and land in a hole, filling the hole to make a path. They will each fall into one of three different holes depending on the direction you push them, and each path leads to different mutually exclusive areas with items.]

  620. Here, every 8 steps, there's a 30% chance of monsters appearing by dice roll.
  621.
  622. [All of the below cutscene plays in sequence once you reach the top of the Western Mountain Range]

  685. But you coming here was known to me anyway...
  686. I am the Time Wizard. I can foresee the past and future.
  687. Therefore, I also know what you want.
  688. Probably to go back a long time in the past, and break the dragon's curse?
  689. But I can't grant your wish.
  690. In the first place, manipulating time could result in disrupting the balance of the world.
  691. That's why I ended my relationship with humans and sealed away my time magic.

  704. They're the same humans, aren't they? [TN: Maybe this means like, "they are humans, just like you are"? I'm not entirely sure what Baby Dragon means by this]
  705. Are you saying you really don't care what happens to that village?
  706. We can only stop the volcanic eruption if I return to my original form! [TN: This scene is supposed to be the first big sign that, despite claiming to have no interest in humans and only care about himself, part of the reason Baby Dragon wants to return to his original form is so he can protect the village]
  707.
  708. [Time Wizard responds]

  730. Am I sensei's son? [TN: Don't think we want to keep "sensei". Could use "the master" or "the wizard" or something like that]
  731. No, I'm not. I'm his apprentice, Dent.
  732. Before, I was studying time magic by following sensei.
  733. But since he sealed his time magic, I just help take care of his daily life. [TN: So Dent is like a housekeeper nowadays]
  734.
  735. [Time Wizard responds]
  738. Dent, would you fetch some water from the spring?

  766. I was a bit heated just now, but I'm not concerned that anything will happen to the village. [TN: He's being all tsundere. He's embarrassed that he got mad at the Time Wizard refusing to help the village, and trying to play it off as "I didn't care about the village anyway, b-baka"]
  767. It'll be okay as long as I can return to my original form... [TN: Maybe we could reword this to make it clear that he's trying to act like he doesn't care about helping the village at all, even when he returns to his original form. Maybe something like "All that matters to me is that I can return to my original form"?]
  768. ...R-really!
  769.
  770. ===================================================
  771.
  772. [Once you reach the spring on the mountain, a cutscene with Dent plays. The first line of the cutscene is at the very end of this file. Then, all of the dialogue below plays in sequence]

  803. He revived his son, but...
  804. Unfortunately soon after, his son accidentally fell from the cliff and was lost.
  805. You can't change predetermined fate... that's what sensei said.
  806. No matter how much you twist the laws of nature to change reality, it's a pointless struggle in the end...
  807. Sensei became a shut-in with me and sealed his time magic.
  808. Then, I decided to become a replacement for his son.
  809. That's why he lets me take care of him.
  810. ...Well, look at the time. [TN: As in, you've been talking too long]
  811. Time for me to go back home...
  812.

  823. I hate persistent guys!
  824.
  825. [Baby Dragon responds]

  838. Shut up! I don't want you to like me! [TN: Literal, but reads weird. Think the point is more like "Why should I listen to you!?"]
  839. I'll follow you to the depths of Hell until the day you die! [TN: I think we might have an expression in English with a similar connotation, but it's not coming to mind immediately. The point being that she will torment us for the rest of our lives]
  840. Ohohohoho!
  841.
  842. [Time Wizard rushes in and screams]
  844. D-Dent!
  845.

  849. S-sensei! Help me, please!
  850.

  853. ...は...!
  854. ...Gah...! [TN: A panting breath, but I worry "ha" alone would seem like a laugh instead]
  855.
  856. ===================================================
  857.
  858. <Time Wizard>
  859. [After the flashback, Harpie Lady speaks]
  863. Baby! [TN: I don't really like how he keeps being called "Baby" in Japanese... It works in Japanese, but not really in English in my opinion, so we might want to translate this as "Baby Dragon" each time?]
  864. You're going to have to die if you want to save this kid!
  865.
  866. [Baby Dragon responds]
  868. Damn you! That's dirty! [TN: Fighting dirty]
  869.
  870. [Harpie Lady zaps Baby Dragon with her magic. Baby Dragon responds]
  872. Ugh!
  873.
  874. [Harpie Lady responds, then zaps Baby Dragon a few more times]
  877. Hohohoho! Serves you right!
  878.
  879. [Baby Dragon responds]
  881. Khh...
  882.
  883. [Harpie Lady responds]
  888. I wonder if you'll die any time now? [TN: Literal. Might be better to reword as like, "You look like you'll die at any moment" or "You look like you're on death's door"]
  889. ...Then I don't need this kid anymore!
  890.
  891. [Harpie Lady drops Dent off the cliff. Time Wizard rushes forwards and screams]
  893. D-Dent!
  894.
  895. [Baby Dragon flies down the cliff, grabs Dent, and flies him back up. Harpie Lady responds]
  899. Gah! Are you immortal!? [TN: Could also mean "Do you not feel pain!?"]
  900. Even though you're in tatters... [TN: Could also mean "worn-out". Might be representing lack of energy from being near death, might be representing being a torn apart bloody mess?]
  901.
  902. [Baby Dragon responds]
  907. I am the legendary dragon...
  908. I've lived for 1000 years!
  909. Do you think I'd die so easily?
  910. Don't look down on me!
  911.
  912. [Harpie Lady responds, then flies off]
  914. Eeee! [TN: She's screeching as she flees. Don't know a good way to put this]
  915.
  916. [The screen fades to white, then fades back in at Time Wizard's house, with Dent safely there. Time Wizard speaks]

  942. When Dent called for help just now...
  943. For a moment, I saw Dent overlap with my dead son. [TN: He had a flashback of his son falling to his death when he saw Dent falling]
  944. I lost my son, and now I treat Dent like he were my son.
  945. But... These hardships don't only happen to me and those close to me... We're all the same. [TN: This reads a bit weird to me, but I think this is supposed to be his revelation of like "It's wrong for me to just dwell in misery alone and ignore the village - they need help, so I should do what I can to help them"]
  946. When I saw Baby fight, I was inspired to not give up hope! [TN: Again, I prefer "Baby Dragon" over "Baby" if at all possible - it reads weirder in English with just the one word]
  947. Thank you for saving my son! Now it's my turn to help you. [TN: Literally, "now I will be your power"]
  948. Baby, thank you!
  949. To break the curse on Baby, I'll take you to the world of 1000 years ago!
  950. Are you ready?
  951. Yes
  952. Not yet
  953.
  954. [Saying yes to above prompt]
  960. Then, let's go!
  961. God of Time! Send us to the world of 1000 years ago!
  962. TIME MAGIC!
  963.
  964. ===================================================
  965.
  966. [All of the below cutscene plays in sequence once you return from the past]
  967.
  968. [Time Wizard speaks. He also says this if you try to talk to him again]
  970. Haaaa... Haaaa...
  971.
  972. [Dent responds]

  980. Are you okay?
  981. You must be exhausted.
  982. I'm glad you're both safe. Did it go well?

  991. We've broken the curse placed on me 1000 years ago by Curse of Dragon!
  992. That dreadful past is no more! [TN: Literally "That disgusting/dreadful past has vanished"]
  993. Now, my body will return to its original form!
  994.
  995. [Triumphant music plays for a short moment, but nothing happens. Baby Dragon speaks again]

1027. T-t-this is serious! [TN: Maybe "This is bad" works better in English?]
1028. I saw a super monster! [TN: This sounds weird in English, but the point is he saw a much more powerful monster than usual - one strong enough to be notable]
1029. As usual, I was admiring the scenery...
1030. I saw a very scary dragon flying in Curse Mountain's direction!
1031. ...I already wet myself! [TN: Reads weird, but the point is it was so scary he wet his pants]
1032. [TN: This is a weird dialogue, but it's all just a hint that Curse of Dragon is waiting at Curse Mountain, and that's where you should go for the climax of the story]
  1033.

1094. This is the most ancient place in the world.
1095. These towering, steep mountains turn their backs on the flow of time. [TN: Not positive, but this might be a hint to the player that the Time Wizard lives nearby. The important part of this paragraph as a whole is that these mountains (or possibly all mountains in general) are like, outside of the flow of time, and go eons without changing]
1096. Thousands of them, the same as they always were. Even now, they stand immobile in the same state.
  1097.

1144. Oh? You're the people from just a moment ago, right?
1145. Since sensei is quite stubborn, you must surely be in trouble. [TN: Not 100% on this, but I think it's saying like "He won't change his mind and help you, and that must be a problem for you" or maybe it's like "If you're still here despite how steadfastly sensei refused to help you, then it must be that you really really REALLY need his help"]
1146. ...But please leave sensei alone.
  1147. There's a reason he doesn't use time magic.
