Earth-benders, bikers, a singing quartet;
If this thing was fake, expectations were set!

The doubters all feared it too good to be true;
They looked at the background, the wrong shades of blue!
Each little detail could surely be fake;
And what of the warnings that Sakurai spake!

But they dug, and they delved, and went deeper and deeper,
And the case for a fake just grew steeper and steeper.
Impossible details were noticed by fans;
The companies panicked, with blood on their hands!

Even those points which detractors held high
Were all waved away by new points and new eyes.
The flaws in the background were 'cause of the light;
Greninja's short tongue wasn't ever even right!

Insiders discounted this leak's growing worth;
It lacked their red tiger, it's not of this earth!
Ideas made their way through all the fans' heads;
Was fire cat a fake? Was the bear in instead?

Amidst all the panic spawned so many memes;
Cartoons, comics, spoilers all filled Twitter feeds.
YouTube went down, the first time in a while;
Wendy's leaked a new item hinting something vile.

But one piece of evidence gave it its name;
One so bizarre it couldn't be feigned.
This one had team fake in a real mighty pinch;
It indeed was the one, the only, The Grinch!

The promo materials had never been seen;
The new film's exposure surpassed many memes.
His trolly demeanor spawned many a joke;
Spotted at an event, by account of one bloke!

This leak sure had layers, but then came another;
One that shocked everyone and surely their mother.
The culprit, once thought just some rando unknown,
Might infact be the troll who sat on a throne.

Mariotehplumber was his online name;
Hoarding rare amiibo was his stake to fame.
The theory's that THIS guy leaked this whole new banner,
But apparently wasn't a very bright planner.

If this leak is real, he's in hot legal waters;
He leaked Smash Brothers stuff! Nintendo'll be bothered.
If this is a fake, then he's no better still;
The printing company'll have a word with this shill!

And now here we sit at the fork of a path;
One way the fans' joy, and the other their wrath.
Is there a good ending? That's yet to be seen.
