I cannot believe it...a romantic comedy which made me laugh.Well, they may not were constant laughters, but I certainly laughed enough to have a good time watching Going the Distance, at the same time that helped me to ignore some of its clichés.And I have to mention that I also found an unusual level of honesty and realism in this romantic comedy, with which I ended up taking a pleasant surprise.I was blown away with this film! Absolutely the best modern made movie in 10 years. The sheer brutality of the characters were chilling, the storyline was suspenseful, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I usually get fidgety at the theaters, but I did not move a muscle through the entire length of the film. I was blown away with this film! Absolutely the best modern made movie in 10 years. I am an avid classic movie lover of period films from the 30s and 40s, and I have to admit that the setting was very believable; clothing, hairstyles, buildings, cars...they even portray some of the effects of the depression, and the dust bowl.
