Messy harpy court July 6, 2018

Amelie sits quietly at the bench with Vegard. Waving to people as they enter, she is ready for the meeting to start.

	Vegard is seated on a long bench with Amelie and he is noting the guests as they arrive. "Welcome to my Estate. Welcome to my home. I grant you safe passage tonight so we may enjoy each others company. Let's celebrate the Tower and all that it is for us to be members of this Praxis. In my Domain, I have entrusted each of you to obey the laws and traditions to the letter. And for the most part, it is pleasing to see so many able to stand united against those that oppose our ideals. My first announcement tonight, is symbolic of the greatness of this Praxis. I wish to inform everyone that Emerald Plaza is that symbol of a modern age of the kindred of Prospect. Primogen Ilias Hemingway and Keeper Amelie Renior deserve deep congratulations for taking the extra mile in attempting to exceed the vision I laid out for it. Well done to everyone involved."

	One might assume that Ilias has been here before, but as it appears - he looks as curious as any other. The man walks into the area, taking a moment to study the elaborate mansion for a moment on his approach. Fedora atop his head, and the silver lion's head of his cane is gripped neatly as he makes his way forward carefully in his highly polished shoes. The man nodding his head in greeting to those he passes on his way. Quiet and reserved as always at these functions these days.
Edgar enters discretely and finds himself somewhere out of the way to observe from. When the Emerald Plaza gets mentioned he nods to himself.

Ilias upon hearing his name mentioned, lifts his thin blue-eyed gaze up and then his gloved hand to claim his fedora as he bows lightly towards the crowd, and then specifically towards the Prince at the praise.

Guivre nods to the Prince in greeting as the announcements begin and then goes to find a place to perch himself and listen. Every so often something in the seemingly new enviroment seems to catch his eye though and he's staring off across the room.

Jolene had stopped upon entering tonight when she heard Vegard begin to speak so as not to interrupt him with even the soft clicking of her heels. Tonight she opted for a black and white off the shoulder dress that came just above her knees and offers a respectful curtsey of her head to the Prince and a warm smile to Ilias at the mention of the Emerald Tower finding a seat next to him. There is just something about a bar that never really appealed to her but she does offer a warm smile that way to those gathered.

Angie enters into the area and finds a spot near Madeline. She does give Vegard a curtsy prior to doing so

Arianna steps out into the garden and walks slowly having a look around at the scene. Once the prince gets to speaking it draws her attention back and she walks more purposefully to the crowd, and settles into a spot close to Edgar for listening.

Sentinel heads into the garden, looking around. The gargoyle seems a bit out of place. She moves to stand against a wall, perhaps listening, perhaps guarding.

Madeline applauds softly to the Prince's words of congratulations

Martha listens and looks over all here watching there reactions quietly then she looks to the bar area with a bit more of a smile.

Vegard sits back on the bench, "I have no other formal announcements to make. Are there any matters of import that are in need of discussion? This is not a night for new introductions, more of a small celebration for those who have worked hard and deserve a nice night out someplace nice. I couldn't think of much nicer than this garden, as I'm quite proud of it." he smiles briefly.

Ilias motions his gloved hand lightly, requesting to speak.

	Vegard nods briefly, "Primogen Hemingway, did you have something?" his attention is now drawn fully to Ilias.

Guivre watches curiously with a light grin on his face when Ilias raises his hand to say something... the Malkavian crosses his arms thoughtfully and maintains the same amused expression.

Madeline crosses her legs where she sits on the barstool, smoothing her sable skirts across one bare knee

Colin slips into the garden quietly, his bright eyes bounce over the increasingly familiar faces of Court. Vegard gets a cordial bow before he finds himself a nice bush to look good next to. There's a hint of a smile at the Prince's pride in his garden, and he moves right along to giving Ilias his attention.

Amelie seems to be enjoying this night out in the Garden, and smiles to Vegard as he speaks her name. When Ilias is called upon, she looks over to him, in anticipation of what he will be sharing.

Oleksiy finds a seat and smiles a bit but doesnt have anything, so he listens, clearly enjoying the location.

	Ilias bows his head once more, and offers, "Thank you m'lord for the hospitality of your home, and holding Court for us here on these lovely grounds. Also, thank you for the praise of the Emerald Plaza. I am humbled." He motions his gloved hand towards Amelie and says, "I wish to inform you that there are many who deserve mention for the formation of the Emerald that you requested m'lord. Ma'am Primogen-Keeper Primogen has provided a great deal of time and personal finance in helping to ensure the Vision was obtained and sculpted."

	Ilias then turns his head towards the other and motions his gloved hand. "As well, Harpy Edgar Smith, Primogen Martino Caravelli, Primogen Guivre Beauregard, Whip Heath Taylor, Jefferson Hardwick, Jolene Addison, Primogen Lillian Boulter and newly appointed Scourge Martha Withermen have also been instrumental in the formation and continued success of the Emerald Plaza. We hope to make this not only the symbol of modern Camarilla society that you wished, but also a safe focal point for Camarilla and Mortal Business here in Prospect." He turns his head to look back towards Vegard and bows his head deeply once more.

Agate sits listening to the announcement and the formal back patting smiling and clapping politely for the people mentioned. She leans over speaking softly to the other officers of the bench.

Guivre golfclaps softly with a series of nods for the announcement.

Rather than interrupting the festivities, Goliath makes his way -- late -- and maneuvers to stand near the outskirts of the group as a whole. He says nothing, remaining poker-faced.

Mikael smiles to Heathen with a proud expression on his face as he claps along with the others.

Jolene smiles warmly at those who have been instrumental in the success of the Emerald Tower, offering a soft supportive clap to those she has had a chance to work with recently.

Edgar notices Arianna joined him and nods to her, listening to the annoucements and goings on before leaning over to murmur quietly to her.

Martha stands quietly near the Prince, Amelie and the sheriff for now just watching the flow of people thru the space, the is a side glance to Agate and bit of a half smile but nothing else for now.

	Vegard inclines his head to Ilias, "Congratulations to all those you named on focusing the influence of this Praxis over the mortals. Our enemies are unable to compete against a concerted will of the kindred of this city. I look foreward to watching the tower rise even higher. Is there anything else that bears mentioning tonight?" he looks to those present.

Devin notes the arrivals and turning to those that pass his line of sight he gives little nods of greeting. As he sees Goliath, a small smile forms, but he turns back to the others as they speak and fill in the praxis on the goings ons of the past week.

Jolene raises her hand as well, for a chance to be recognized by the Prince, when he is ready.

Madeline brushes a lock of golden hair behind her ear and glances about those gathered

Arianna's brows furrow as she murmurs back to Edgar.

Having been mostly wandering about discreetly Rikona chooses this time to make her way not too far from Ilias, remaining at a respectful distance from the various vampires gathered here tonight, a solemn look upon her gaze. She studies the various faces here tonight in silence for now.

Vegard nods to Jolene, "Did you have something Miss Addison?" he glances to Agate with a smile and then returns his attention to Jolene.

Edgar raises a hand to the Prince to request a moment as he speaks quietly with Arianna.

	Walking through the crowds, tonight Syn is in his normal appearance. The gargoyle is sleek yet muscular where it needs to be, his wings folded in front of him as if he is wearing a cloak, ascending the stair, he pauses once he is where he normally is to guard the Prince.

Mikael murmurs something to Phoenix and Heathen.

Sentinel is sititing by the nearest wall, just listening. She isnt next to Madleine for once. She does watch the other gargoyle enter, quietly.

Madeline smiles gently at Nell and nods to her then continues to listen

Jolene offers softly, "Your Grace, I do wish to announce that on July 15th there will be an opening Gala, at the Crown Museum to feature Prince Katharina von Starhemberg in a performance with our very own Mister Rousseau. In support of the new opening Art Exhibition. It is open to the Public and I do truly hope that court will come out and show their support for our neighbor as well. It would be an honor if you were able to attend as well Prince Torvik." She offers a warm smile and a respectful tone the entire time.

Heathen steps back to give Mikael a wink and applaud Jolene's announcement

Guivre golfclaps again with a polite smile on his face as Jolene talks about the upcoming Gala.

Madelines sapphire eyes warm at Jolene's announcement and she nods her approval

Mikael gives Jolene a bright smile, and applauds along with the others.

Edgar sighs at Arianna and shakes his head, seeming slightly disappointed but he then stands and waits to be recognized.
Rikona 's gaze strays towards Jolene a moment at her announcement, then following through the crowd until she settles her eyes on
Mikael and offers an acknowledging nod at the man and a polite enough smile. She then takes a few further steps closer to Ilias.

	Vegard nods thoughtfully, "Something to put in the datebook. I'll see if I am not busy. It's nice to have a good neighbor. It sounds lovely." he offers a smile to Jolene. Then he nods to Edgar, "Did you have something Mister Smith?"

Amelie smiles to Jolene, and claps softly. As Edgar rises and is called upon, she finishes her typing and waits for the Harpy to share with them his thoughts.

Arriving while Jolene and Edgar have most people's attention the Sister trails her way through the Garden. As always she keeps out of the general din of the crowd but this time Connie has something to explore and so she does.

Oleksiy gives a smile and nod to Jolene, his eyes though continue to follow the other people as they arrive, paying attention to his surroundings quietly.

Jolene brightens at the support of the court around her and blushed softly. "Thank you Prince Torvik. I know you are extremely busy, but it is always a pleasure to draw you out and see you enjoy yourself too. It brightens the entire Court." She offers a curtsey and returns to her seat quietly.

	Ilias has been standing this evening, a light nod given towards Jolene and Rikona both nearby. He extends a gloved hand out to rest on Rikona's shoulder, taking some of the pressure off his leg it would appear. His thin blue-eyes watch Jolene when she speaks, back to the Prince, and finally towards Edgar and Arianna.

	Jeff slips in a little bit late, it happens from time to time. You know how it is, traffic and... stuff. Any how, the middle aged beach comber in his amazing socks and flip flops, quietly flip flops his way to an out of the way space where he can observe stuff and things without getting tripped over.

Edgar steps forward at Vegard's nod "The Harpies of the domain met with Primogen Hemmingway and recieved the advice of the Primogen council. While a reorganization of that magnitude was not planned it can be adapted to. The Council's Vote of 'No Confidence' in Harpy Ricci while their right to hold is not enough by itself to make her no longer one of us. While I will be serving as Court Harpy I still value her better familiarity with the domain and its denizens. To that end she can still serve. Harpy Horton and Harpy Floyd have also agreed to continue in their service to the domain. In addition it is agreed that the domain will be served by opening two additional chairs at least. Of the recommendations to date Jefferson Hardwick of Clan Nosferatu, Reccomended by his Primogen, is called to serve." Then he looks over to Jeff and quirks an eyebrow "How do you answer?"

Guivre is just standing, somewhere centrally located where he can watch everything, his arms cross again in a thoughtful fashion and he tilts his head to hear Jeff's answer.

	Looking out over the assembled that all have gathered tonight, Syn watches making sure things are alright, his tail sways from side to side behind him.

Constance moves over to find a nice rock to settle on, looking the direction of the recently entered beach comber and his reply to the Harpy's request.

Colin is listening, watching, from the vantage point of a bush. He might have been humming Billy Idol and swaying back and forth while he observes, but he's observing! The entrance of the Sister perks an eyebrow but he smiles graciously towards her before listening to Edgar's peace.

	Ah shit. Well there goes that whole sitting quiet and looking quieter thing Jeff had going on. And here, presented with this chance of formal acceptance or rejection of a court position, with all these ladies and gents in attendance, LOOKING AT HIM... he stands up nice and straight, clears his throat, and orates thusly, "Mm, heh, yeah, sure buddy, I can swing." Shit, well that wasn't very formal. Curses! The Nos with the cigarette holder clenched in his teeth at the corner of his mouth pauses like a deer in the headlights for a second there. Um, okay, how to salvage this. What would a Toreador do?? He does not know WWTD, though, so instead, he belatedly flicks the brim of his white bucket hat. Yep. Nailed it.

Brittney arrives and casually walks into the area, looking around as she listens to whatever conversation is going on at the moment.

	Vegard listens to Edgar and he nods thoughtfully, "The reorganization is to the benifit of all. Whoever thought of it was a genius. Edgar Smith, since you are Court Harpy, I want you to sit with the court when its held. I do have one question though. The only part of the Primogen's advice that I did not hear addressed and to me, is the heart of recent issues that have plagued this city with very bad morale of late. As Court Harpy, I wish you to keep me abreast on the scandals each week. Here at court. Because we all do agree that a scandal isn't a scandal if there is no public outrage, am I mistaken in thinking that? It was quite generous of you to retain Arianna's services in light of a unanimous vote of no confidence. Merciful in fact."

Madeline brushes a hand along her black skirts, eyes following the conversation silently

Rikona inclines her head up silently at Ilias when the man finds support on her shoulder, she continuing to look over the various happenings that go in the court meeting and surely knows better than to interrupt or speak when others are. Specially vampires. Instead she looks at Jeff, a brow arching in curiosity and she staying her eyes on him a while longer.

Mikael seems at least keenly observant, if very quiet tonight, and gives Constance a smile when he notices her. His attention, however, is focused on each speaking, most especially the Prince.

Devin's eyes are aglow with mischievious mirth at the way events are playing out. His hand tightens ever so slightly on the head of his cane, in excitement at the moment.

Constance leans back on the rock she's on and looks from the Prince to Jeff and then Edgar once more. Bright gentian colored eyes curious.

At the bar, Madeline quietly greets Heathen, Mikael and Phoenix with a look or soft word before she dontinues to listen

Jolene looks curiously over to Madeline, and then to Arianna, the Prince and Edgar, as this news comes as a shock to her, and wisely and without knowing all the facts involved, keeps her mouth shut and spares a glance Mikaels way.

	Ilias listens and arches a brow slightly, glancing around and gauging the reactions for the moment. He leans over and whispers something to Rikona, and makes a light gesture of his hand to send her off. Perhaps to get milk or something.

At the bar, Mikael returns Madeline's greetings softly, and with a nod and little smile.

Edgar nods at Jeff before turning back to Vegard and gesturing at Madeline "It was Primogen Blanchard's suggestion when I approached her about seeking to join the harpies of the domain originally. I know I am newer here than many of you and it is only proper I seek the council of one more familiar on local particulars. I am well educated on kindred law and custom that I can reduce what scandals presented for judgement to base principles and see them judged properly. The mitigation of local history is still a factor though, and must be kept in mind. I understand that some of the advice given and positions expressed by Harpy Ricci have proven to not meet with the council's approval but I still think Primogen Blanchard was right to make the suggestion in the first place. As for a weekly report? I can see the wisdom and usefulness in that as well though we will need to discuss the specifics of format but that doesn't need to take up time in open court."

Agate whispers a moment among the bench before standing to gaze over at Edgar "Speaking as the voice of the Assamite Clan.. Did the Harpies come to this decision with the full knowledge that Harpy Ricci is biased, a fact that no one here can question without calling the local leader of Primogen Ricci's own clan a liar, and has been counselled regarding her hate for the Prince? Those being the facts and her own words that brought the Primogen Council to one of its few unanimous decisions?" she gestures around the room "Is the condemnation of the entire City upon one persons head simply irrelevant? I, and likely others, are curious as to what weighed the Harpies decision in this regard."

Rikona cants her head to the side at Ilias and his words, a moment to look up at the man's face and then she dips her head at the man, beginning on her way across the grounds and soon disappearing from sight.

Amelie spoke softly at the bench before looking out to see reactions and hear Edgar's words again. Her eyes go to Madeline and then back to Agate as she speaks. Her eyes widen just slightly.

Devin casually looks up at the Sheriff's outrage as she makes her attempt at persuading the crowd. A slight nod as he recognizes some skill in her techniques.

	Vegard nods briefly and he offers Edgar a seat at the bench with the other court members, "We will meet in private to discuss the matter at length Mister Smith, congratulations on your appointment." he then furrows his brow and his attention goes to Arianna, "Hate? Well... that's rather strongly worded. What is that about?"

"Clan Malkavian wonders much of the same as Clan Assamite." Guivre hails smoothly after Agate speaks and his genial frown had faded to a pursed thoughtful expression.

Martha quiet watches and listens for now from where she is with the others of the court. She is standing of course not sitting near the others.

Arianna stands rather rigid there near Edgar, focused on keeping herself still.

You sense Arianna fixates a hard stare on Maddy for a few moments.

Constance stays quiet, eyes skipping over each person in turn and finally coming to rest on Arianna at Vegard's qyestion to her.

Arianna senses “Madeline meets your gaze without hesitation”

Edgar looks over at Agate and then Guivre as he approaches the bench "I believe I've already covered that sufficiently for now, if anyone wants to address it further in private I'm not difficult to make an appointment with." Then he nods to Vegard "As you say Prince Torvik. I only have one other statement for the domain as a whole to conclude my remarks if there are no /new/ questions."

Arianna turns her attention to meet Vegard's, taking a couple of moments of gather a response before replying carefully, "As best I can tell, your grace, it is a misinterpretation of political advice offered in confidence by a whip to her primogen."

Vegard glances to Edgar, "Feel free to continue. I'm interested in hearing what you have to say. I am pleased with your assessment thusfar, though this other matter with Arianna is of import, and will get addressed."

Madeline smiles "As best you can tell, as if we'd not had the conversation a number of times Arianna. Were it only I of this opinion mademoiselle, the council would not have had its very first unanimous vote regarding your position and our recommendation to the harpies"

Devin looks over at the Primogen/Sheriff curiously, then back to Edgar at the invitation given him.

Agate shakes her head as she sits back down leaning over to whisper to the others at the bench.

Mikael arches a brow at something, and his eyes shift to Madeline, Arianna, Edgar and then finally on Vegard. He tilts his head to murmur something very softly to Phoenix.

	Moving closer upon the steps and moving off to the side as to not obstruct the Prince, the gargoyles wings seem to ruffle slightly as he stands there watching, though his attention does shift to side to those who aren't being addressed by the Prince or the others, just watching for now

"Funny, that," Gladys speaks up. Of /course/ she's here. "I don't recall the word 'recommendation' being /anywhere/ in the council's announcement."

Guivre speaks up in his acccented voice, "I find it insulting nothing is to be done.." He throws up his arms, "After the every Primogen and, therein, all the voices of the Praxis made it very clear... she is not trusted. She is not supported by the people."

	Ilias offers, "I will endeavor to speak louder for you next to Harpy Horton. I believed I covered that in impeccable detail when we met. Would you like the written transcripts for that meeting sent to your office?" he reaches into his inside jacket pocket, and takes out his tablet as though he was prepared to do just that.

Oleksiy seems to be unphased by the conflict, simply listening and observing what transpires.

Agate comments "When a Primogen Council acts with one voice.. Wise are the ones that give way."

Madeline glances at Gladys "I don't recall making any announcement Mademoiselle. Primogen Illias spoke most respectfully to your number of our recomendations"


Jolene is decidely against saying anything more today now that court is rather wound up like a golfer about to hit his ball, at least at the moment.

"That you did, Primogen Hemingway," Gladys replies. "Perhaps in future, the executive summary will receive equal care." (OOC: +bbread 69/10. Who's head of the council, again?)

Devin rises, figuring that the entertainment is wrapping up regardless of the sudden furious bluster, and he makes space for someone else to sit, as he finds a convenient perch to stand near. Reaching into his jacket he takes his phone and taps at the screen.

Constance's brows have crept up towards her hairline during her observation and she pushes off the rock she'd been leaning against to drift around and just a little farther away from the others. Close enough to listen still but a safe distance.

"The presentation of the situation doesn't change the reality of her behaviour, does it take a Malkavian to see that?" Guivre stalks off for the bar and goes to find a seat away from people.

Edgar stopped short when Gladys spoke up and has been listening quietly, having declared he was finished with the topic. He's drawn near the officer's bench but has yet to sit.

Goliath crosses his arms as he watches the situation unfurl. No words are spoken, no emotions given. Blue eyes dart from speaker to speaker.

Martha is watching and listening, there is really no expression on her face as she takes this all in.

Devin makes his way over to the Brujah, stopping to shoot another message off and looks to him asking quietly. "Enjoying the festivites?"

Arianna stuffs her hands in jacket pockets and works very hard at remaining stony and still while she's the focus of all that attention.

Colin remains quiet, though the other Brujah finally arriving - late - draws his attention over and Goliath receives a broad grin. Back to the words flying, he blinks a few times quickly and then returns to that placid face.

	Vegard refocuses on Arianna, "Well Arianna, are you loyal to the Prince? Do you obey the second tradition? I take it your answer was a denial that you expressed such hostility to me? I would like to hear you express yourself in light of all of this. I found your answer confusing. Primogen Blanchard had no reason to lie and that is what it seems you are accusing her of?"

Mikael shifts his weight, his arm still around Phoenix as his eyes scan the area and then fall on Guivre and then Constance for a moment before they move back to the Prince.

At the bar, Mikael gives a deep nod of his head to Guivre as he approaches, but he remains quietly observant.

Constance's fingers are latched behind her back as she looks at the flowers and trees she's meandered near. Keeping well out of the discussion at hand.

Jolene is very interested actually to hear Arianna speak up in her own words so she understands her friends point of view, looking over her concerned and thoughtfully and back to Vegard for a moment.

Arianna straightens her shoulders a bit as the prince demands another response and tries again very carefully, "I do obey the traditions, including the second. I am not questioning your position as prince, your grace." She pauses briefly to consider and then adds, "I did not accuse Primogen Blanchard of lying. I am suggesting there is a different interpretation of my statements than I intended."

You say, “It was not my words brought up the topic of your position to the council Arianna, I did not instigate that"”

Devin looks at Madeline at her last comment, but then turns back to Arianna.

Caerus enters in and looks about and nods an approval. He takes a few steps to make sure he is within proper sight of the Prince and then bows and offers quietly in such a greeting that can be spoken but not necessiary to be acknowledged or returned. "Good evening Your Grace. Specticular setting." He then wanders to sand over by Devin a moment and says something in a low whisper to him.

	Ilias offers, "The Prince's opening question, while you stand on the hospitality he provides you, Ms. Ricci.. was to ask if you are -loyal- to the Prince. That is not a question I would suggest you avoid answering in finite detail." trying to help her it seems.

	Agate notes "An interpretation at odds awith respected Primogen Blanchard's interpretation of the events. Followed by, both before the council and just now, noting how mistaken she was in that interpretation."

Constance looks up and around and she fidgits and sighs. Giving in against better judgement. "You could just repete the words and explain them and it would clarify this whole mess, Arianna."

"I guess it is not Arianna's interpretation they are really asking for after all. " he muses softly by Caerus and Goliath.

"Interesting. It will certainly be worth seeing if the Harpies continue independently or not in the city."
Mikael turns to order quietly from the bartender, and gets himself a brandy. Normally an after Court indulgence, but tonight he doesn't wait.

Vegard nods to Arianna, "Arianna, I am still going to remind you that it is by my mercy that you are in Prospect and part of this Praxis. The honest truth is that I don't actually care if you hate me or not. Hating me isn't against the law. Its not terribly wise it be heard expressing such to anyone. Some tend not to forget such things. When the representatives of all the clans and withdraw support, that needs to be taken into consideration. I hope /you/ are taking it into consideration and take the hint to fall in line with the goal of maintaining excellent social standands and not turning our social structure into a free for all. You are actually responsible for the rumors surrounding you. It is by my mercy that I find you innocent of any crime or infraction, yet a strong warning has been given that it is customary in many Praxis, to banish or execute those rumored to be against the Prince. My mercy, keeps you in Prospect. Now I do not want to see your name on another report on my desk for a month or I'm sending an investigation team after you. Is this understood?"

Devin looks over to Arianna as the prince makes the announcment. A small deliberative frown, and slight nod of the head at the ample fairness, as he thinks she made out pretty well.

From afar, Mikael places his fingertips on her shoulders silently.

Mikael senses “Madelines lovely form is tense as a bowstring but she gives a barely imperceptible nod to your gesture, appreciating it”

From afar, Mikael realilzes, and just lets you know he is there for you, as is the one beside him.

Goliath simply reclines near a far-away wall -- watching with abated interest as the lectures and statements and accusations are ongoing. He is relatively close to Devin, and, by virtue of that, the remainder of the Tremere. After a long moment after the Prince's words, he says something in the tone and tenor of the Stoic Brujah of Olde -- when they were known as the learned clan, the clan of scholars, where logic prevailed over emotion. "This is the reason I touch myself at night."  This is said to no one in particular, and he just nods a few times after the words are spoken.

Mikael arches a brow, quickly glancing over to Goliath, but he manages to reframe from uttering a comment. Instead a sip from his glass, followed by another.

Arianna keeps very rigid with a lot of effort and then bends to give bow to Vegard. She responds simply, "Yes, your grace." And then straightens again.

Sentinel clears her throat. But otherwise, remains silent.

Phoenix grins over to Mikael then looks forward again.

Martha is trying not to laugh, she manages to contain it.

Devin does not turn to Goliath but simply mutters. "Do I need to have your wand taken away Seamus?" no smile on his lips as he keeps his eyes on the crowd of gathered citizens.

Vegard motions dismissively to Arianna, indicating she can relax and he's through. Then his attention shifts to Goliath and Devin, "Did you two have something to share? Or is this a private thing?" he knits his brow faintly.

Devin looks up, bows to the prince deeply and offers "I am humbled by the grace and kind justice, that is continually shown in the past weeks Your Grace. I thank you truly."

Constance keeps up her slow stroll through the nearby garden though she seems to be coming back around to listen to any new news.

Arianna takes the gesture of dismissal as a signal to back up several steps and then turn to walk off across the garden to find the exit.

Goliath doesn't bow, but responds to The Prince after Devin. "Uh. No. Nice landscaping job." He remains silent after that, having said his peace.

Angie watches as Arianna walks away, unsure on what to think. She then shifts her eyes to Madeline...

Edgar is still standing quietly near the bench, as things start to calm down. Having moved past the option of new questions and now waiting for court to end.

Madeline sits upon her barstool, back straight, lovely hands folded upon her lap. Glancing over she nods to Angie and tips her head a bit in an invitation to the girl

Vegard nods slowly to Devin, "I see. Yes, well I am generous with my mercy and I am seeking the wellbeing of all kindred in Prospect." his brow remains knit though and he keeps his attention on Goliath. "I see." he shakes his head a bit, "Unless anyone has something last minute, I do believe we can conclude tonight. Feel free to relax and visit as long as you wish, but I think the formal portion of court is over."

Jolene isn't sure what to think at the moment without an answer given, but also thinks maybe that is her way of answering and that saddens her quite a bit, but not a word is uttered from her.

Amelie watches Arianna leave, and finishes up her typing to be sure she has everything notated for tonight. She is rather expressionless as she does this. "Merci for hosting us tonight, Your Grace."

Guivre gets up and walks out not long after the Prince announces the end of the formal Court.

Angie moves from her seat and takes a seat next to Madeline leaning to her "Good evening..."

Oleksiy rises and bows to the prince "Thank you for your wonderful hospitality My Lord. "

Connie akes her way towards the group once more now that official Court is over and it's less worrisome for the Caitiff to be closer to the crowd. She lifts a hand to Mik and Pheonix on her way buy, smiling at Guy as well as she makes her way back around.

Mikael gives Vegard, and thusly the others around him, a deep bow. "Merci, Your Grace. An exquisite garden."

Edgar nods in agreement with the Prince and stands there quietly observing as people either circulate or make their way out.

Mikael gives Constance another little smile, and moves with Phoenix over to get a very small plate of a few items from the buffet.

Devin looks to Goliath and Caerus "Well that was certainly bracing no? It would seem the lady has survived the fury of the four winds tonight. And Mr. Smith as court harpy, seems a good choice."

Phoenix follows along with Mikael, chatting softly

Vegard shakes his head and looks to Jeff, "I think I forgot to congratulate you on your appointment. I apologize if I did, I'll make sure a formal announcement of it is added to the court notes."

Madeline kisses Angie's cheek "bon soir cheri, please feel free to stay and chat if you like. I believe I shall depart momentarily"

Amelie nods to Vegard, "Of course, Your Grace. It shall be added." She quickly goes about noting that.

"Is that what happened tonight?" Goliath asks Devin, in his brogue, responding to the question with a question. "I literally 'ave no idea. One moment, it was kumbaya, the next, everyone's ganging up on the Torrie. I *knew* I shouldn't of fed off that girl who I knew was on Benzos." He scratches the back of his head.

Angie smiles to Madeline "Im on the fence...might go to my coffee lounge...we do need to get together though..soon"

Madeline smiles gently at Angie "I would love that, may I come to see it tomorrow evening perhaps?

Vegard inclines his head to Amelie, "Thank you Keeper, your hard work does not go unnoticed by me. It is appreciated.."

Angie nods "That could be arranged and I would love for you to see it"

Mikael seems to obly be getting a few salty items, chips, mixed nuts, and a spoonful of dip. He glances back to the group around the Prince, then over to Madeline befire heading in her direction.

At the bar, Madeline smile at Daniel as he arrives "A rather ugly evening cher, I'm sort of glad you missed it"

Phoenix glances to Madeline and smiles to her warmly, resting a hand on her shoulder "I was good to see you tonight"

Constance continues on her way and slips out past the guards with a little smile to both of them.

Edgar comments as an aside to Vegard "I did have closing remarks but I think I will instead let my actions speak for me instead. No one will be pleased with all of my decisions. Not even you your grace. They will be fair though. I only have one cousin in the city and our bloodlines aren't particularly close."

At the bar, Daniel says "Oh yeah? Sorry I missed it, I think. What happened?"

Madeline lays her fingers atop Phoenix's where they rest on her shoulder :And to see you also Primogen"

Jolene is rather quiet as her attention turns to the sound of the fountains not far away and just focuses on the trickle of the water, letting her mind just focus on calm, it is truly beautiful here and a nice walk around the garden is definitely a welcome thought from the tension that fills the air, "Your Grace, would you mind if I took a stroll around the gardens for a little bit?" She is careful not to interrupt Edgar though and smiles reassuringly at him.

Phoenix rolls his eyes "I have a name" he grunts.

Madeline laugsh "yes Phoenix I know you do" she leans over and kisses his cheek

Mikael tightens his arm around Phoenix and gives a little bow to Madeline, being careful to balance the plate, "It /was/ good to see you. May the rest of the eve find you well."

At the bar, Madeline sighs softly "Arianna is still a harpy, they chose not to take our recomendations

Phoenix nods and glances to Mikael "Shall we go?"

At the bar, Daniel says "Who were our reccomendations?"

Angie looks up to Mikael and Phoenix..."Gentlemen...might i be able to interest you in a visit to lounge? I need opinions..."

Phoenix glances to Madeline and smiles warmly "Come by and see us soon." he pauses and glances over to Angie "I...suppose?"

Vegard looks to Edgar, "The only thing I care about is that we are moving foreward and not backward. As long as you are loyal to your Prince and your Praxis, you need not ever worry overmuch about how you are percieved as long as I am percieving it, you're fine by me. I am pleased, because I do believe you have the right intent in mind, and I am going to continue believing that, until I stop. I haven't made any assumptions and overall I have been pleased with your efforts. Know that I respect the position of Court Harpy and I am pleased to have you as a personal contact to keep order. Because that /is/ what its all about. I truly believe that you have the ability to look me in the eye and tell me and this court the scandals of the week. I'm not going to hold you responsible for being a messenger. I look foreward to progress Mister Smith, I hope you agree that is the best path?"

Mikael's cell vibrates in his pocket, and he draws it out, checks the text, and quickly taps something back before sliding it back inside his jacket pocket. "As you wish, cher, or we could stroll the gardens? Ut is beautiful, and I have not seen..." He turns his head to Angie, then glances to the redhead with him. "Oui, we could."

Vegard nods to Jolene, "By all means, wander Miss Addison. That's what it's for."

Angie smiles, her eyes lighting up. "Wonderful...as soon as it is finished!" She seemed a bit more upbeat

Devin chuckles and replies "Yes well tainted food can cause problems, but tonight seems to have been a festering grudge between some members of the praxis." he gives a slight shrug "I do not actually know the particulars. But, it seems the decision to not infringe on the independence of the city's harpies was upheld. They will likely be grateful for that as time marches on. If Ms. Ricci keeps her head down, she has a chance to come back socially. She did after all just take the ire of several detractors and still make it out of here, of her own recognizance. The Prince was working hard at a balance of mercy and justice. I cannot see anyone finding fault with that, no matter how hard they tried. The rest, time will tell I suppose. " he smiles more broadly "I am certainly curious to see."

Jolene nods respectful and curtseys to the Prince, "Thank you Your Grace." She smiles softly just needing some time to clear her mind from court and the madness and makes her way into the Garden's quietly on her own.

Edgar nods at Vegard "There are details to work out, format and such but yes. I think we have found our way to similar pages."
"Right. Well, I'm out -- keep the front door open at the chantry for me." Goliath says, with a certain degree of seriousness in both tone and tenor, and begins to vacate the gardens. "..lost my damn key." He exits quickly after.

Madeline nods to Devin's words "The mercy and wisdom of His Grace is unmatched"

Mikael nibbles on the few items on his plate, watching the others still present, occassionally glancing to the garden paths.

"We will see to it" Devin replies looking to Caerus briefly and then turning as Goliath heads off. "Well then," to Caerus "I suppose I should be off to further securing of my supply lines."

Caerus has not had much to say on the main topic of ther night, or isn't saying anything. He just takes it all in and nods from time to time to himself. He smiles a little here and there and then looks over to Devin, "I can understand that. Good eve to you."

At the bar, Madeline touches Daniel's hand "I'll send you a report, I believe i've had enough for one night"

Angie goes quiet and looks around to those still present. She fidgets with the zipper on her leather jacket, deep in thought
With that, Devin leaves the other Tremere and makes his way out onto other things.

Mikael smiles to Angie then, "So, when do you expect that you might open?"

Madeline steps away from the bar with a quiet word to Daniel and steps over, sinking into a lovely curtsie to the Prince before departing
