Part 4: Jaw is Unbreakable

It could work. Gadget, Jay, and Silent Bob are recovering from their fight against a relatively minor Stand user, and the two guys are about to trick Gadget into giving them money again.

Ed Edd and Eddy walk in on this amateur scam and decide to sell Gadget a Jawbreaker for a nickel. Gadget gives them a nickel at first, and then a dollar, and then 10 dollars, and then 100 dollars, and then Jay and Silent Bob interrupt what would be their money-train running out of gas.

They make Gadget eat the Jawbreaker and get a pretty useless stand. But that doesn't matter, he can see Stands now. He proceeds to beat the Edds and they go running. Maybe they join him? Probably not. But they drop another jawbreaker.

From there we see Gadget and his allies grow in number, and Penny even eats a jawbreaker and gets her own stand. But because Gadget dodesnt want her to get hurt, he doesnt let her fight until the end.


FREAKY FRED
He could easily take Kira's place as crazy murderer.
Instead of fingernails, he could measure the growth of his hair.
Instead of blowing up women except for their hands which he takes on dates, he could spare their scalps, and have his Stand wear them like a wig or something.


>After the daffy incident, the Ed boys skip town to another town, while ruraly in many cases features vastly rich toons. Eddy, seeking another scam decides to chill here with the other ed boys and scam their way to the top

>An opening takes place in a restaurant, which is empty other than the ed boys, a duck, and an old man, all at separate tables, but all with a common idea
>What seems like a regular lunch turns into a profit for all of these individuals
>Scrooge manages to use his ability to trick the waiter into giving him money via his stand
>Eddy scams the waiter into giving up his tips and giving the boys a free meal
>Stan orders the most expensive items on the menu, and changes its value to cash and earns a large amount of cash, then orders the cheapest sandwich- Stan has gained the most money, spent the least, and still got lunch.
>all the characters notice each other using abilities at the same time, and prepare to face off in the restaurant.
>Scrooge promotes the idea of a contest between the three groups, whoever can make the most amount of money in one months’ time.

THIS IS KNOWN AS THE CONMAN COALITION (VERY FUCKING IMPORTANT)

>a new hairstyle seems to be popular in all the latest magazines, but whenever a toon tries to get this haircut, they mysteriously disappear
>Edd thinks this could be the stand power of Daffy’s [LA CUCARACHA] and fears perhaps Tom couldn’t finish the job. The Ed boys agree to find this user and take them down.
>Stan thinks this is a scam by one of the other two parties, and pairs up with the Ed Boys (mostly just to spy on them, but becomes a valuable ally)
>Scrooge doesn’t care at first, however he notices some of his rich allies and enemies are disappearing and assume that either Stan or Eddy are doing this. Scrooge hires Shaggy and Scooby to investigate (mostly because it won’t cost him a lot of money- he could pay them in dog food)
>Freaky Fred is using his stand [NO MORE MR. NICE GUY] to shave, humiliate, and eventually murder his victims, all while leaving simply empty crime scenes.


Inspector Gadget would likely be Shigechi. >After investigating these crimes on his own, he accidentally encounters Fred by sheer coincidence.
>He attempts to alert Jay and Silent Bob to the nature of the killer after failing to defend himself.
>Gadget fails to alert them in time, owing to a brutal dismemberment impeding his ability to move.

Gadget loses a hand or something during the fight, and it's Mr Roboto repairing his missing hand that makes him realize his new sensations, and then while he's distracted Fred hurls his severed hand at him, having turned it into a razor blade, which just shaves through Gadget's chest.

>Fred giggles freakishly as he watches Gadget drop face first onto the ground, a gaping hole in his chest, [Human After All] reaches out to try and touch the hole to repair it, but it's fingers start crumbling away
>"My my, mister inspector, you're the closest someones gotten to exposing me in a long time, and thats quite...naaaaaughty. But do not fret, once our little session is complete, I will be free once again. I won't even have to hurt your naughty little friends either."
>Gadget gives his final lines and Fred finishes him off, destroying his body
>What Fred didn't notice is Gadget's other hand, which he removed himself and sent out with one final mission; to expose Fred's identity to his friends
>Inspector Gadget is the reason the gang finds out about Fred, he truly was a great inspector.


>He only leaves behind one of Fred's hair clipper blades alongside a torn shred of Fred's suit as their sole clue to the identity of the mysterious new Stand user.
>Shaggy and Scooby find the clue and alert Scrooge.
>Jay and Silent Bob mourn the loss of their gravy train, and vow to end the man who derailed their mooching.
>This then prompts the previously at odds groups to work together to end Fred.

Also, as an aside:
>The death of Gadget leaves Penny heartbroken and intent on getting revenge.
>She tries to get involved in the investigation, but everyone brushes her off.
>Eventually, she happens onto a jawbreaker by accident and obtains a Stand.
>Her Stand enables her to investigate with her newfound abilities, leading her to Fred.
>She then forces the groups to listen to her about her findings.
>It all climaxes in the eventual confrontation with Fred.
>Penny then decides to strike out on her own rather than be hauled off by CPS after avenging Gadget.
>It leads her on her own odd journey as she investigates rumors of mysterious disappearances and a nonsensical prison that never stays in one location for long, kicking off the events of Waifu Ocean.


>Gadget assumes that something about the haircut is making people skip town
>he tries to find out who is giving haircuts, but goes to discover that the only barber shop in town looks abandoned (since there's no crime scenes, he assumes no one is being murdered)
>Gadget has Jay and Silent Bob stake out the barbershop, and they notice that somehow some one got in without going through the front door, meaning there must be a secret entrance
>Gadget investigates the barber shop a little more, but is intercepted and killed by Fred


>A large gala at a mansion is being thrown in town, however attendance is dropping due to disappearances.
>The Ed Boys scam their way into a large gala, feeling this could be the perfect opportunity to grab funds for the contest
>Scrooge is naturally invited
>Stan converts a rich toon's car into cash, says he'll donate and is invited to the gala (he is welcomed since there is almost no one donating)
>The gala's main goal is to raise money for a local toon mall, which may bring business to the town.
>The prized donation is a beautiful gold tiara adorned with various gems donated by the gala's biggest fundraisers, Disney Princesses.
>The Edd boys want to scam off the tiara
>Stan wants to turn the Tiara into cash value
>Scrooge wants the gala to go off smoothly, so the mall can open and scrooge can open various shops within the mall.

>They are met half way by the stand [EVEN FLOW] butterflies that surround Ed due to his ability
>[EVEN FLOWS] ability makes Ed very calm, to the point of non aggression
>the stand user, Snow White, then reveals herself, asking why anyone would be back here
>engaged with no other options, Edd and Ed must fight through to get the Tiara and warn Eddy
>Edd uses his stand ability on a nearby stack of extra tableware to construct a trap and traps Ed and [EVEN FLOWS] butterflies, essentially making Snow defenseless
>[EVEN FLOW]’s ability activates again, enraging Ed to break through the trap, than calming him again, freeing [EVEN FLOW]
>However, another large stand that seems to have no user appears, and begins its attack- this stand is [DREAM ON]
>[SAFETY DANCE] and [DREAM ON] begin an attack rush on each other- however [SAFETY DANCE] is significantly weaker, and causes Edd to be surrounded by [ dream fiber ] causes him to become groggier

>[DREAM ON] begins to attack once more and hit a finishing blow, but Stan Pines (who was also following the Ed boys to get to the Tiara) intervenes. Uses his stand’s shield ability to protect Edd
>[DREAM ON] uses much of its power to crack the shield, growing weaker due to [DREAM ON]’s dream fibers being used up
>[EVEN FLOW]’s butterflies leave Ed in order to enrage [DREAM ON] to fight on even more, gaining enough power to crack the shield
>However, this turns the tables for the Ed boys and Stan
>Ed uses his stand again to distract Snow and [EVEN FLOW], which gives Edd enough time to his [SAFETY DANCE]’s ability to construct a slingshot and fire off the shattered remains of Stan’s [LOADSAMONEY]’s shield and fires at the distracted Snow White. [DREAM ON] uses much of its dream fibers to cushion the blow and essentially saves Snow’s life, but is incredibly weakened and gives up in the process.
This forms a faint bond between Stan and the Ed boys
In the end, the Eds and Stan find the tiara, and claim to double-cross each other and take the tiara for themselves. However, a strange noise is heard whenever Edd or Stan try to grab the Tiara- they begin to dance uncontrollably! This is the stand of [DARE TO BE STUPID], and it’s user Weird Al attempts to steal the Tiara, but is met by Cinderella who uses [HAND THAT FEEDS] ability to share the resistance between [DARE TO BE STUPID] and herself. She then takes the tiara back, learns about how others have the stand powers, and orders everyone to leave.
By the end of the night, Eddy has scammed $100, while Scrooge and Stan have made no money at all- putting the Edds in the lead in the contest


We need more thuggish Stand users for part 4. Unless we truly go with the 2 plotline approach and have Gadget hitting the streets while we also enjoy the Men at work/Stan/Scrooge friendship growing stronger, using the Gadget subplot to keep the story moving, seemingly being the one in charge, getting small upgrades and the like. Until his death knocks the main guys back into the game and has these world-class scammers work together to take down the serial killer.

If Scrooge hires Shaggy and Scooby, they could be how we tie Gadget and the contest together. Their investigation leads to Gadget, which leads to Gadget explaining the killer thing to Scrooge. Scrooge warns the others about the killer, which leads Stan and the Edds to try and find him for the reward money, leading back to Gadget again.




>The night of the Gala
>Gadget strolls along a dark street in an ugly part of town
>Gadget and penny are following up on an anonymous tip to find reason for the disappearance of some of the richer members of the community
>Gadget hits the streets in the dangerous part of town, his plan is to get kidnapped himself so he can find where the others are being kidnapped
>Encounter Jay and Silent Bob, loitering around a comic book shop, clearly after hours
>Gadget interrogates, Jay spills the beans that they are waiting for the “jawbreaker man” to deliver “the goods”
>Gadget promises that he will get Jay and Silent Bob comic books if he can wait with them
>falling for Gadget’s ruse- Jay, Silent Bob, and Gadget all wait for the "Jawbreaker man"

>Soon after, Kevin appears on his bike, and notices how there’s a third person when there was only supposed to be two
>Kevin gets suspicious and rides off
>Gadget uses a go go gadget to extend his arm to try and grab Kevin while he rides off in front of him
>suddenly, Gadgets extended arm is suddenly contorted out of Kevin’s way, meaning Kevin gets a free getaway
>Neither of the three have any idea what happened
>Jay and Silent Bob make a deal with Gadget (most to use him) that they will help Gadget with his investigates, since Gadget’s skills can get them a variety of things and be their own bodyguard
>Meanwhile, Kevin makes a call on a payphone “The fat guy and the lanky guy have a new friend, and they’re all dorks- take em’ down for me and I’ll make it worth your while…”




>Fred is discovered relatively early after our heroes make it out of the gala
>his Stand proves fearsome but he's defeated thanks to the teamwork of the Eds (as opposed to Josuke basically having to solo Kira at first)
>the protagonists are still concerned with finding who or what gave him his stand
>they search his house in order to look for more clues
>inside they find his diary which is mostly nothing of note
>except, as time goes by, there are increasing rants about not being able to make it into a "club"
>he goes on to lament that he has to cover up the evidence of his killings all on his lonesome just because he doesn't have the money to become club material
>everyone realizes in horror that he's referring to a society of serial killers (like the men's club in the Courage episode Ball of Revenge but high society)
>the gala that they had recently attended was hosted by these very same people
