	This election year is an important one for the American people as it will determine whether the populace will give into terror and hatred or hope and acceptance. Even more importantly, it will determine whether the United States of America is capable of evolving its ideals in order to maintain its status as the number one world power. While Mitt Romney and the Republican Party focus on spreading misinformation to inspire fear and scorn for those who do not fall under the category of a white, wealthy, male, Obama remains steadfast in upholding the principles necessary to be a good leader for the American people laid down by our founding fathers and other great writers that came before.
	Mitt Romney is first and foremost an ambitious businessman. He knows what to say to get people to rally to him and he knows how to play to emotions to extract empathy from others. What he doesn’t realize is that this is the 21st century and cameras are constantly on him capturing every flip flop and bald-faced lie he makes trying to appeal to whatever crowd is currently in front of him. This is showcased most plainly in the cases of social issues such as abortion, gay rights, and healthcare reform. On the topic of abortion, in 1996 Romney stated “
