  1. Let the Reiwa era begin! It's the decreasingly-frequent SASUKE Guessing Game XVII: The Last Skywalk! It's topical.
  2.
  3. I held a poll to see if you guys wanted certain rule changes, and between your feedback and my personal thoughts on the game I've decided to not make any major changes. However, you guys did like the idea of modifying Golden Competitor (after every serious entry picked Yusuke last time) and the even-harder "Dark Horse", which are explained below. Otherwise, the rules are exactly the same from last year and more or less the same since 2008. Sheesh, 11 years of this?
  4.
  5. I'm putting this at the top because I want everyone to see it: I have an Excel script to auto-populate results. In order to make my life significantly easier, please follow the following format in your results:
  6.
  7. #1 Competitor: 1
  8. #2 Competitor: 2
  9. #3 Competitor: 3
  10.
  11. and so on. Please keep one space between the colon and the number, and please do not have extra lines between the competitors. If you'd like to put notes on the end of the competitors, you may do so, but keep them on the same line.
  12.
  13. Scoring for Stages:
  14. -An exact guess for the number of stage clears is worth 20 points.
  15. -For every instance you miss a stage by one (high or low), you will earn 15 points.
  16. -For every instance you miss a stage by two (high or low), you will earn 10 points.
  17. -For every instance you miss a stage by three (high or low), you will earn 7 points.
  18. -For every instance you miss a stage by four (high or low), you will earn 5 points.
  19. -For every instance you miss a stage by five (high or low), you will earn 3 points.
  20.
  21. Scoring for Competitors:
  22. -For every instance you guess a competitor correctly, you will earn 10 points.
  23. -For every instance you miss a competitor by one (high or low), you will earn 5 points.
  24. -For every instance you miss a competitor by two (high or low), you will earn 2 points.
  25. -If no one is within two (high or low) for a stage/competitor, the person(s) who is the closest (high or low) will earn 1 point.
  26. -Saying “will not compete” will earn you 0 points and will be counted as guessing obstacle #100.
  27. - The Silver Competitor: Predict who will go the furthest out of all the competitors, with the exception of Yusuke Morimoto, and you will earn 20 points. PICK ONLY ONE PERSON. YOU MAY NOT PICK YUSUKE MORIMOTO. Picking Yusuke will guarantee you 0 points in this category. If by some act of God Yusuke isn't the Golden Competitor, this functions exactly the same as Golden Competitor.
  28. - (NEW) The Dark Horse: Same rules as Golden/Silver competitor, except for this category you must pick a competitor that has NEVER made the 3rd Stage. Yes, even Monkikki is banned. This is also worth 20 points. PICK ONLY ONE PERSON.
  29.
  30. We don't have confirmation on the 2nd and 3rd stages yet, but here's what the course was last year. (This section will be edited once we have confirmation of the course.)

  60. Additional Rules:
  61. -Entries are due December 30, 2019 11:59.59 p.m. EST.
  62. -If the Navi airs after the deadline, Navi results will count. If any part of the Navi airs before the deadline, Navi results will not count. As always, any result spoiled in a commercial at my discretion will not count.
  63. -Please do not put your entry in spoiler tags. Bad things have happened in the past.
  64. -Progress points are based on where a person falls/times out on the course
  65. -Ties will be broken by the combined number off for all eligible competitors/stages.
  66. -Any information not shown on the TBS broadcast does not count.
  67. -Fast forward segments do count, provided it shows where the competitor failed.
  68. -If a person fails during a transition segment, the obstacle he/she was approaching will count as where they failed, provided they completely cleared the prior obstacle.
  69. -The jump from the Quad Steps to the Barrel Climb is considered part of the Quad Steps until the competitor gets both feet on the Rolling Hill.
  70. -The jump from the Salmon Ladder Up to the Salmon Ladder Down is considered part of the Salmon Ladder Up until the competitor gets a firm grip on the Salmon Ladder Down. (Of course Will would make these rules not NNL compliant. Tsk tsk.)
  71. -If any answers are revealed before the broadcast, regardless of the source, that category is null and void.
  72. -You may change your entry as many times as you want before the due date.
  73. -Competitor list is based on the official list released by TBS.
  74. -If you don’t know who a specific person is, look them up. We have a wikia for that.
  75. -If you competed in SASUKE 36, or was in the audience, you’re not allowed to enter.
  76. -(MODIFIED) For the Silver Competitor and Dark Horse, progress on the obstacle counts. (For instance, if Jun Sato pumps out halfway through the Pipe Slider but Tomohiro Kawaguchi fails the dismount, Kawaguchi is the sole Silver Competitor.) If the Dark Horse is decided in the 1st/2nd Stage, time through the last cleared obstacle will also count. If I cannot reasonably break a tie on Silver Competitor or Dark Horse, there will be multiple correct answers awarded the full 20 points.
  77. -Entries are accepted on both Sasuke Maniac Forums and the Sasuke/Ninja Warrior Community Discord. Do not enter on both.
  78. -Have fun.
