- The Demon wandered the land, still seeking any magi to feast upon, as well as continue its experimentation with the Occultic-infused insects that it commanded.
- Coming across Nao, it was a perfect opportunity for such- before the man could move away or get anywhere else, the oversized insectoid was quick to buzz its way towards the man, surrounded by a shroud of smaller insects, all of them infused with Occult. Although they were clearly natural species, they seemed twisted, mutated beyond recognition.
- Whatever it is Demon did to them, they seemed far more aggressive, far more prone to simply attack someone.
- "Hhhhhhhhhhhh--"
- "You will make- a fine feast- to me- them- swarm."
- With that, the Occultic presence became far more apparent, and the winds have surrounded this Demon. Much like riding the tornado, these bugs were about to be launched at Nao-
- And there's no negotiation to be had, only fighting.
- (Murmux)
- Given how Nao was no longer bound to Tongyishan, living in the Valmasian remnant, he thought he could travel a bit further to the south. He's not at war with anyone, anymore! Isn't that wonderful?
- In the corner of his eye he spotted a rather peculiar looking demon, not really minding it.
- THEN IT SUDDENLY BUZZED CLOSE TO NAO, HOLY SHIT IS THAT AN OVERSIZED COCKROACH!?
- A shroud of smaller insect made it's way towards Nao. Whatever the demon was, clearly it wasn't much for talks.
- Nao called upon the moon's power almost instantly, seeing the cloud of insects getting closer and closer. He poured said energies into his blade, through his mana circuits and slashed in a horizontal fashion, creating a mini-shockwave of cosmic energy - strong enough to disperse the little buggers.
- "Feast? Us Izhrans don't make for fine meals, i'm afraid." - He said, hopping away and twirling his rapier in his hand before pointing it at the insect.
- A smirk made way to it's face, before he added:
- "Hey, cut me some slack! I'm just not big on cockroaches!"
- It'd seem the demon wouldn't back down, so he readied for a fight. The blue cosmic energy twirled around him, before forming blue, short blade-like shapes around the man, made out of pure cosmic energy gathered from the moon. Seemingly to damage these that get up-close?
- (Nao)
- The insectoid demon was in for a surprise. Nao wasn't a simple swordsman - he was an excellent one.
- The cosmic, blue shortblades that formed a circle around him slowly turned towards Murmux, before launching at him! He had to dodge an avalanche of little blades formed out of pure cosmic energy that could sting him rather harshly, on top of the redhead swordsman.
- Swiftly he managed to dash around, striking at the insectoid's carapace before hopping or sidestepping away to avoid any attacks.
- Obviously he didn't come unscathed - the demon's wind attacks hurt like a truck. Literally, they launched him quite far before he managed to re-engage.
- After one last time he got pushed away, Nao got... annoyed. The little blades forming around him disappeared, as he rushed STRAIGHT at the demon. One could almost see his blue aura intensfifying in his leg area - did he do that to run faster?
- or... kick stronger?
- After beingclose enough, he launched himself forward with both his legs in front of him.
- "SLAM!" - He shouted in a rather cheesy manner, as his feet connected to the insectoid's carapace, launching him away due to the strength in his legs granted by his moon aura.
- Yes, the demon just got dropkicked away.
- (Nao)
- The Demon likely overestimated itself.
- While it fought fiercely, despite the cracks in its chitin and the injuries that marred its body, there was a palpable sense of being unable to overpower the swordsman, no matter what; despite the winds that shredded him, despite the poison that was eager to cloak itself around Nao and choke him, there was no result that Demon had hoped for.
- Even the swarm that it commanded, that it constantly pushed to attack Nao both through telepathic connection to literally each and every insect, as well as Occultic bond, it was too much.
- Before Murmux knew it, the swordsman launched himself against the insectoid's chest, quite literally dropkicking it away- if it weren't for the Kaor's wings that it stabilized itself, going along with the kick, if only to position itself properly, it likely would end up heavily injured.
- Gladly, that's not the case. While such kick certainly hurt, it wasn't injuryworthy.
- "Hhhhhhhhhhhhhh--"
- "Fine- not today- then. I will- seek you out- later."
- Frustrated that it did not get to have the swarm feed on him, the Demon had no choice but to retreat. At least, it was some practice in commanding the swarm.
