First of all, let me thank you all for coming
here today. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to
present in the class.

For those of you who don’t know me already,
my name’s ... and I’m studying Informatics Engineering

What I’d like to discuss about is the advantages and the disadvantages of my favorite job which is
software developer / software engineering

As the title says, it is a job that developing a software or engineering it to fulfill the required business model.
It requires some heavy cognitive workload. You must be comfortable spending time with thinking and designing even fixing
something you cannot see. We can just imagine the system in our mind. But usually some Diagrams could be a great help to visualize.

I do like to think and design a system. I interest to work with technology and earn great money from it. Those are the reason why it is one of my favorite job.

Recently, it is one of most demanded job in market. Why? because almost every business transforming its product to be delivered or may be in form of a digital product or digital services. The job vacancy flooded the market then attracted great number of people. Before one of you considering take this job as your career I will give you some insight.

Software development has some advantages:
First, It paid well. This is number one reason because everyone do job mostly because of money.
Second, You can work from anywhere. What do you need just a laptop or PC and stable internet connection. You can build the system by yourself then doing meeting with the team later to discuss about this or that. It is flexible.

It sounds good isn't it. But coding, which is what software developer do most of the time, not for everyone.
First you need to be good with some fundamental logic and math. You will grinding yourself with some logic problem that will blow your mind whenever you can't stand with it.
Second it is long-sit job. You have to in front of your screen, pondering the abstract problem for hours. Maybe some coffee break and lunch would be okay to rest a while but doing this static activity for months or years?
Last, you need to catch up the latest technology ever been released. You need to learn every single day. The topics are so broad and massive. If you are not long life learner, better you could do something else for living.

In conclusion, I believe not only software developer but all jobs has the positive and negative aspect.
What we can do about it is that find that most fit to our preference, personality and lifestyle.
So we can be happy both at work and life.
