  1. -- frozenLake [FL] began pestering masterfullyInept [MI] at 18:46 --
  2. FL: I was trying to figure out what makes up a Fool for a while, so I can get my thoughts in order to make an essay
  3. FL: Right now, I have a handful of disconnected thoughts.
  4. MI: the Fool class isn't part of the canon or fanon farrago class list right
  5. FL: Correct
  6. MI: I mean we already have the Fool
  7. MI: in the form of Bard
  8. MI: you could very easily say that bard fucks around with their aspect, like a jester or fool
  9. FL: I seem to think that you have a different idea of a fool.
  10. MI: I have the historical equivalent in mind
  11. MI: but there are different definitions
  12. FL: Meanwhile, I was thinking of the inexperienced, improvising, experimenting one that performs things through trial and error.
  13. MI: some key elements of page there
  14. FL: One that will not let preconceptions about the world be stated, when they can see it for themselves.
  15. FL: Like, a lot of the core ideology behind the scientific method buried in there.
  16. FL: The fool questions everything, and admits that they truly never know anything.
  17. MI: this is sounding more like an aspect
  18. FL: What do you know about aspects?
  19. FL: If anything, this is more of an anti seer.
  20. FL: But I admit, I cannot know that for certain.
  21. MI: how would the fool use their aspect
  22. FL: Literal mountains of corpses.
  23. MI: I see
  24. FL: At least, in the case of a Fool of Time
  25. FL: For space, I could see them cutting off a bit of a pencil's lead, growing that piece, and then breaking off another fragment to continue to grow
  26. FL: For Mind... Well, I'm not entirely sure what Mind does on a non-seer
  27. MI: so your general idea is that fool experiments, usually very gradually in terms of size
  28. FL: Yes.
  29. MI: alright
  30. FL: A fool experiments.
  31. MI: that's a pretty interesting class
  32. FL: With Light, I imagine they would try to manipulate the state of two objects independently that depend on eachother.
  33. FL: And end up much, much later on, managing to create a Light based Quantum Computer
  34. FL: Void? If they learned about how certain void players could pull objects into existence, they might try to pull more... conceptual things.
  35. FL: For example, a physical manifestation of the square root of two.
  36. FL: Heart? If we go with Glitch Faq's representation, They might try to change particular elements of a bunch of identical objects, created through alchemy
  37. FL: Like messing with their shiny
  38. FL: Could they turn a perfectly generic object into a sphere?
  39. MI: maybe
  40. FL: Thought: if a Fool came across a wall with a sign next to it saying wet paint, there is a decent chance of them touching it.
  41. FL: Also decent chances to push random buttons
  42. FL: I know I would absolutely love to experiment with alchemy and the punch card stunts/jumper extension
  43. FL: For instance, try to alchemize something while a giant bust is taking up the space on the alchemiter
  44. FL: I don't know what the God tier should look like
  45. FL: Perhaps something with a coat.
  46. MI: coat makes sense
