  1. Lord Ultovex would lead away from the center of the town, floating up a mountainside path. For a while they followed the twists and turns of the inlaid mountainscape before arriving at Manor Ultovex. The place felt wrong on arrival, Undead peering from around the small house as well as small legions of Nethradin, all the creatures bound by stakes put through their hands and feet, snarling at things that got too close.
  2.
  3. Out of the sight of most of Dawn, Lord Ultovex turned, locking the door behind.
  4.
  5. "Wha' ya about ta see is Necromancy notes o' tha' highest clearance, ya? Copies o' Arthurs. Wha' tha' means is ya ain't allowed ta share it without his permission an' Lady Cho's. Violate tha' an' I'll go an' hunt ya own maself.
  6.
  7. Don't show 'em ta anyone else. Understand?"
  8. (Sors Ultovex)
  9.
  10. Aldrah was already anxious to get his hands on Sors's necromancy notes, where the day had finally come. This would help too much in their research, in the quest to increase their knowledge and power.
  11.
  12. He followed Sors in silence until they reached his house. Aldrah floated to the middle of the room, listening intently to what Sors was saying.
  13.
  14. Arms folded and his gaze fixed on Sors, Aldrah answered in a calm tone, "Of course! I will not share it with anyone!" The tone of sincerity was clear in Aldrah's voice, for when it came to something involving necromancy, he took it all seriously.
  15. (Aldrah)
  16.
  17. Grey and gold stare at Aldrah, judgmental as he was answered. The distrust and paranoia that existed with occultism was not so easily lost, but it wasn't as if the notes could easily be spread. Lord Ultovex turned away, facing the side. Perhaps Aldrah expected him to keep the notes here, and that be the reason he came to the manor, but such was unfounded.
  18.
  19. The purple and green light of rift magic glows and illuminates the room as a circle appears to his left. A gloved hand reached in, pulling out notes written sloppily. Obviously, Sors own version of Arthur's notes had never been expected to be shared, but twice now they were seeing use. The pages are flipped over.
  20.
  21. Inside was over a decade's worth of research, all presented in an easy to consume format. It contained drafts of the Statue, of how it's constructed, of the emergency wheels it has to be driven away in case Dawn is sieged, and much more.
  22.

  24.
  25. It's a centrifuge based around the Azrael's relic in the Heart of Statue, with instalments of Spiritshards locked within Soulsteel fragments - all of them rotate in triangular fashion around the Gem, and Spire Shard fuels the process from above.
  26.
  27.
  28. On top of that, all of the Obelisks are already connected to the central mechanism, each Obelisk containing a set of runes that further empower it. To run the process, it appears that sacrifice of mana is required, much like it was channelled by the Oscuri spirit on the Island.
  29.
  30. To top it off, the drafts seem to include Obelisks and how they function.
  31.
  32. Directives are the following:
  33. 1. Ingwaz - Represents God - Purpose is 'The Beginning'/Potential.
  34. 2. Mannaz - Represents Man - Purpose is 'The Support'.
  35. 3. Eihwaz - Represents Yew - Purpose is 'The Strength and Stability'.
  36. 4. Ansuz - Represents Breath - Purpose is 'Vitality'.
  37. 5. Gebo - Represents Gift - Purpose is 'Exchange'
  38. 6. Dagaz - Represents Dawn - Purpose is 'The Breakthrough'
  39. 7. (For the angel) Raidho/Nauthiz - The Journey and 'necessity' for each.
  40.
  41. - - -
  42.
  43. Moments passed, allowing for Aldrah to read the contents of the notes as Lord Ultovex crossed his arms over his chest. His fingers tapped against the armor until it appeared that he was moderately finished with the page.
  44.
  45. "An' now tha' spiel o' wha' Arhtur told ma, word fer word.
  46.
  47. Necromancy always requires a sacrifice, one way or another. It can be someone... or it can be your own lifeforce. It can be divine shards. It can also be the combined energyof at least three Necromancers, to ensure least harm follows, but in a sense... it's not so far from Vampirism.
  48.
  49. But Undead got mor' potential then Vampires. Vampires ain't able ta ingest tha' divine magic. Wit' Undead, we can find ways ta mak' it work, ya. Sustainable. Convenient.
  50.
  51. Get it?"
  52. (Sors Ultovex)
  53.
  54. would not be in a place like Sors's house, but in another dimension, extremely safe! And that was incredible, maybe one day Aldrah will learn riftmancy...
  55.
  56. As soon as Sors gave Aldrah the notes, he began to see all he could. Not skipping anything, analyzing everything he could, all the information was important, and those notes were a treasure in Aldrah's vision.
  57.
  58. Aldrah seemed at the moment a child who had just gotten a candy, being extremely happy, but did not show it, since he was already an adult and should remain as such.
  59.
  60. As soon as Sors began to speak, Aldrah stopped reading the notes to pay attention. At the end of what Sors spoke, Aldrah calmly replied, "Yes!" He now passed his gaze from the notes to Sors, "Fascinating!" It was what left his mouth at the moment.
  61.
  62. (Aldrah)
  63.
  64. There is a calm patience as he lets Aldrah look over his notes, tapping on the side of his arm as he did such. Grey and gold watched the older Necromancer look over the notes. While it seemed like it would take him a while to digest, he started on the next portion.
  65.
  66. "Ya gon help ma wit' an experiment in tha' comin' days. Didn't 'spect ta be doin' it so soon, cause it requires three Necromancers. I'm gon' be showin' ya'll how ta use tha' thang Arthur left behind. There's three ways ta use it, an' tha' way tha's least convenient requires havin' three Necromancers there.
  67.
  68. But tha' ain't fer now.
  69.
  70. When ya finished readin', need 'em notes back. Ma personal copy. But ya can make ya own too, ya."
  71. (Sors Ultovex)
  72.
  73. Everything so fascinating, necromancy was a beautiful art, where this now awakened the main purpose of Aldrah, who is to become a master of necromancy. Well that was one of the goals, but now it was focused as the main one at the moment.
  74.
  75. As soon as Aldrah finished reading, he gently handed the notes back to Sors. A bit resting .. But it should do. But apparently he could make a copy for himself in the future, that was very good!
  76.
  77. "Oh, sure! I'd love to make a copy of the notes!" Aldrah nodded.
  78.
  79. Now an experiment? That would be interesting! Where Aldrah could see how it Works, the things that Arthur had left behind.
  80.
  81. "I would gladly help! When will we do such an experiment? And who will be the third necromancer? Cho? Roanna? Someone else?" He spoke enthusiastically.
  82. (Aldrah)
  83.
  84. The notes are once again held the in the black glove clad hands before the rift opens to his side, and desposting them once again into the safety. His hands wipe themselves off, and the grey and gold return to Aldrah.
  85.
  86. "Work hard an' I'll let ya copy 'em. But as I said, even if it's a copy, don't go showin' 'em 'round without askin'. Ya, do, an' I catch wind, ya in fer some trouble, ya.
  87.
  88. Tha' third Necromancer will be Roanna. Arthur an' Cho are both Necromancers, ya, but we're tha three o' tha new wave. An' neither o' ya got experience wit' tha' experiment. This'll teach ya how it works, ya."
  89. (Sors Ultovex)
  90.
  91. Ah, Roanna... Wife of Astaria.. Aldrah did not like much of both because they saw the undeads as other people and not as the tools they are. In addition to Astaria not wanting to help Aldrah when he needed..
  92.
  93. "I see." He said, folding his arms, "I do not talk to Roanna much... But her undead children are very insolent.. Well, I think it will be interesting anyway!" He spoke again enthusiastically.
  94. (Aldrah)
  95.
  96. "I care lil fer personal spats, Aldrah. I ain't too fond o' tha' undead children maself, but inconvences fer ma projects are not allowed. Ya'll gon put ya lil fites ta tha' side an' follow wha' I say, ya. It's far more convient fer both o' ya ta listen."
  97.
  98. He spoke with a neutrality, but the rattling chains in the air whispered of otherwise. "Now, tha's all fer tha' lesson. We're headin' back, ya."
  99. (Sors Ultovex)
  100.
  101. "Do not worry, I will not put these things in the middle of the project .. Just a comment from me, nothing more." He shrugged.
  102.
  103. Aldrah just waited for Sors's signal to return to the square, "Sure, let's go."
  104. (Aldrah)
