- After waking up in the cellar of an old tavern, with around 12 other people and a burly bartender sitting on a stool by the entrance watching over you, you realize you have a hardcore case of amnesia... whatever that is.
- The bartender stands at 6'7, and is completely ripped. Naturally, he's shirtless and has big bushy eyebrows. Upon his head is a glorious mane of red(ginger) hair, and a bushy mustache to match. He has the head of a grizzly bear on his shoulder, and the skulls of two wolves on his meaty hands. Oddly enough, these skulls seemed tremendous for mere wolves, and were reinforced with currently dented steel.
- The man stands up once everyone has their wits about him and start asking their questions.
- He shouts in a big, booming voice. "Alright, weaklings, we brought you in from the Obsidian Pyre. Hopefully you won't end up like last month's bunch... Well, regardless, I'm here to explain your situation. I was in your shoes once myself, and don't remember anything prior much like you folk. What I do know however, is in this world it's fight or die. If you falter, you will fall. If you do not have the drive, don't even let me finish, walk out and lie down in the woods. You'll be taken care of shortly. This is the world of Ash, named for the ash that falls every winter, rather than snow, as well as ash falling in the summer time. Snow only falls in the poles, not that I recommend heading there. Anyways, I'll give each of you 10 silver, and a Trainee Fighter Guild's Badge."
- He hands out the silver and badges accordingly before continuing. You'd notice the badges are silver themselves, and have a depiction of a skeletal dragon on them. "Alright, so the fighter's guild badges will grant you access to better gear in town, besides a discount on your first training session. A real man's badge costs 1 gold, and if you're a CHIEF like me, that's 1 platinum, or 1 thousand gold. You can sell furs or trinkets off of slain beasts for coppers, or more depending on the rarity. It'll cost 2 of your 10 silvers for training, so you'll by the time you're out of training, you'll likely have two left. Another thing, is that the more things you kill, the stronger you will become in this world. However, those who prey on the weak, may soon become the hunted. The weak will also give you less and less power as you grow stronger."
- "With that, you're free to go unless you have any questions."
