  1. I'm bored and it's Monday so let's write a pastebin. It's been about 2 weeks since I've had internet capable of streaming, and a lot of that time I've been unable to even watch streams, and I've been feeling really down about it. Add on to that AGDQ going, and not being able to go, I feel super disconnected from everyone. I still chat with some people on Discord and Twitter, and can do like races or whatever, but it's not the same when I just can't hop in a stream, or start streaming myself and chat with people. I'm having hardcore withdrawls from JUMP, I'm finally starting to get close(ish) to completing it, and I miss seeing what new mechanics and challenges are thrown my way, but I am adamant that I don't want to play that offstream. I know a lot of you guys enjoy watching me fail (a lot) and succeed (a little), so you won't miss any of it.

  3. I'm honestly not sure if not being able to watch AGDQ's stream is helping or hurting. On the one hand, about my only interaction is seeing what friends post on Twitter, which is nice because seeing friends happy is good. :) On the other hand, not seeing the stream makes me feel like I'm missing out on the big moments of the event, especially runs friends are involved with. At least my internet has been good enough to let me keep up with the drama. :P

  5. I have been catching up on a little bit of some other casual stuff I've been wanting to get to in the meantime tho, which is nice. I went through and got all 242 stars in Galaxy 2, and I really enjoyed it. Only a couple of the green stars were really troublesome; The Perfect Run was less of a challenge and more of an endurance test being able to do the early parts over and over again after any tiny mistake was a little less than fun, but it was still fine. I think Champion's Road was a better "final challenge", but I still felt accomplished anyways. Speaking of 3D World, I finished up all the levels with Mario, adding his stamp to my boi Wee Gee's. I'll probably go through with Toad, Peach, and Rosalina here and there because I'm an idiot lol. Not sure what I'll do next casually, I had a major itch to finally try KOTOR for some reason, but not quite a 10 dollar itch... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  7. Other than that I've been steadily making more progress toward what is now tentatively known as "Whatever This Thing Gets Called 2017" a.k.a. the "100%" categories of a bunch of good SNES games back-to-back thing. Guess I'll just list them in order?
  8.
  9. SMW - Had a couple more practice sessions, I think I'm gonna do the whole 20 and 10 thing still, but not really make it super strict. I kind of foresaw this happening, but trying to force myself to do anything just makes me want to do anything but that. After all, I can't tell myself what to do, I'm not even my real dad. But I think I'll probably practice/learn stuff for about 20 hours and then do 10ish runs to pace where I'm at and how much more time I need to put in before I'm where I'd like to be.
  10.
  11. MMX - THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Chaide of twitch.tv/chaide/subscribe fame decided he wanted to learn MMX 100%, so I challenged him to a "race", which was really just an excuse to hang out and give him a few pointers while I also see what I remembered. It went REALLY bad, like 50 something minutes bad, so I decided later that night to try another run. The second run was a 45, which is about where I would like my run to be whenever I put everything together, which is super promising. There was nothing special about the run, a LOT went wrong honestly, so to still hit that "goal" time without anything resembling consistency yet means that this goal will probably be an easy one to hit.
  12.
  13. LTTP - Not a ton to report, looked up a pastebin of the actual route to see if there was anything I didn't really notice from runs I've watched. Might try and do a slow playthrough of the route itself just to get things going. I'm a bit worried about dungeons since I've only done any of the Dark World dungeons casually, but it's still early, we'll get there.
  14.
  15. DKC1 - Also not a lot to report. MrCab55 (of twitch.tv/mrcab55 fame) has decided he'll likely race this with me toward the end of the year, and while our goals might end up in a slightly different spots, it'll be nice to have someone along for the ride. Anyways, DKC1 is the worst game for both of us, I haven't even casually done 101% yet, but I've watched him do a couple "runs" and already he's gotten his time in the ballpark of where I'd like to be eventually, so that's nice. I'll probably go through everything just to know where everything is before looking at a proper route/strats, looking to do that within the next week or two.
  16.
  17. SM - I've been putting probably the bulk of my effort here since announcing this, and it's likely going to be the game I do spend the most time with. My time has dropped to 1:50, which is approaching where I'd like to be, yet in terms of consistency and even just straight up knowledge of strats I have a TON to work on, so I feel like right now this is a goal I'm super optimistic of meeting and exceeding when the time comes.
  18.
  19. 2017 is only a little more than a week in, so there's still a lot of time left. No plans on slacking though, as there's still a long road ahead. If my internet issues are resolved within the next week or so, I'd like to do a long stream that includes maybe a couple of the games I'm working on as well as some casual/fun stuff, but I won't plan anything until I know I can actually stream it :P
  20.
  21. TL;DR: Internet sucks, not being able really see AGDQ kinda sucks, but speedgoals 2017 are mostly not sucks.
