- Prime minister secretly married to Princess Nibbles?
- Source: Cypress Hollow Post, apparently a rival tabloid newspaper competing with Rockford Post
- The official story: "This is false. It's just a rumor spread by his political rivals to smear him while he's in office." -- Governor's Press Secretary.
- What we heard: Ever since the Duke of Cypress Hollow took office as the Governor of Palmshire, effectively a prime minister there, scandals and rumors has dogged his ministry, most notably the leaking of rumors about the Duke of Stirling's alleged affairs with Princess shli, a rumor later traced back to his office. Now, Cypress Hollow Post is reporting that the Duke of Cypress Hollow has secretly contracted a marriage to Princess Nibbles. This alleged secret marriage is reportedly to have scandalized the political circles closest to him in Palmshire, as secret marriages often implies something illicit. Lord Dublin, the Foreign Secretary in his ministry, reportedly mused that he never got a wedding invitation because he was a Communist, loathed by the Whigs, of which the Duke of Cypress Hollow belongs to. It's unclear whether the Lord Proprietor was aware of this either before rumors broke or after.
- The Duke of Cypress Hollow entered office on January 22nd, 2010 and was reportedly the most unpopular Governor among the members of the Parliament. There is chances that he could be forced out of office by March 20th, when Parliament reconvenes and votes on supply bill before them. If supply bill is defeated, it is usually treated as a vote of no confidence and the Governor must resigns. It is most likely that, in case this happens, the Lord Proprietor would appoint the Duchess of Lexington as caretaker Governor to serve out until April 1st, when the most likely candidate for the next Governor, Lord Weald, who is a Tory, is appointed.
- Bogus or not bogus?: It's unclear whether this rumor is concocted out of thin air by the Duke of Cypress Hollow's political rivals, considering his unpopularity during his tenure as Governor, or not. Until that can be absolutely ascertained, we'll just chalk this up as bogus for now.
