 Businesses environment are important and crucial to be analyzed since it can greatly impact on how the business will operate or the future of the business itself. The environments are not static but constantly changing and moving forward. One of the main external factors that has been improving and advancing is technological factors. “Proper identification of this factor during strategic analysis could lead to better strategic decisions about investments and development of the organization” ( Wozniak,  2019). Due to the rapid change in technological development, managers require to have skills that are quick and flexible in their reactions on adapting and surviving in this turbulent competitive environment. Developing country in ASEAN such as Indonesia can have many benefits on  having access or adapting to the technological development. “Other ways that technology is helping economies in developing countries is by reducing the costs of production, encouraging the growth of new business and advancing communication.” (Wetmore, 2017).

    The current population of Indonesia in 2019 is more than 250 million in which more than 50 percent of the population are people under the age of 30. This demographic has a potential for an incline to adopt tech products and drive consumption to  a new level. However, many startups fail in Indonesia not because of the executions or the founders are not great but the country poses several counterintuitive market challenges. One of the major challenges is that Indonesia suffers from a lack of skilled professionals. “According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), Indonesia is finding it increasingly difficult to respond to the skills of its workforce in a time of increasing globalization, new technology, and changing work patterns.” (Cosseboom, 2014). Because of this, the population of Indonesia started to adapt and the number of internet users in Indonesia has been increasing
