reise vs. stingray

[17:25] * Reise is en route to another shoot, this one being held in a warehouse not far from the studio. It's a promotional gig, an advertisement that Horizon is getting paid big money to do for Ares' newest line of police equipment, which means Reise is comfortably at home in a halfway-to-pornographic police officer's "uniform."
[17:25] <Reise> Really, it looks like something that came from Summerholme.
[17:27] <Ikiryo> It takes her a bit to get through to the shoot...an unfamliar person there when she arrives. A very tall, statuesque and stunningly attractive woman. She has brilliant silver hair that flows all the way down to her ass and a curvy but athletic figure that is not remotely hidden by her blue sarong and halter top that shows off her lovely abs.
[17:27] <Ikiryo> She's wearing very tall heels and has a metal-tipped whip by her side.
[17:28] * Reise blinks as she puts her bag down, leaning over to one of the photographers while her eyes remain locked on the stranger. "Hey, who's the hottie with the whip?"
[17:29] <Ikiryo> "Ah...she paid to change the shoot. Outbid Horizon for our time today..." The Photographer shakes his head.
[17:30] <Ikiryo> The silver haired girl gives Reise a brilliant smile...it's vaguely shark-like.
[17:31] <Reise> "Huh?" She blinks again...and waves her fingers at the predatory smile. "...People can *do* that?"
[17:31] * Reise is careful to keep her airheaded persona in place.
[17:31] <Ikiryo> "Apparently so." The photographer seems suprised themself.
[17:34] <Reise> "...Okaaaaay. So if she outbid them, do we get to go home?"
[17:34] <Ikiryo> "You don't. You were hired for the new shoot." He shakes his head.
[17:36] * Reise pouts. "Okaaaaay," she says again, though her tone is reluctant. "I guess I can put this away." She looks down at her uniform, the latex top with her breasts almost falling out and the miniskirt with handcuffs and a nightstick dangling from belt loops.
[17:37] <Ikiryo> "Not remotely. She was very enthusastic about half of the shoot being a police officer." He shakes his head. "Sorry, you'll need to talk to her about the details. I wasn't part of the people kept on."
[17:42] <Reise> "Oh. Well, sorry your time got wasted, I'll see you at the studio tomorrow I guess~"
[17:42] <Reise> She pats the elf on his shoulder, and then struts over to the silver-haired woman. "Hi~!"
[17:46] <Ikiryo> The silver haired woman looks Reise up and down...not remotely trying to hide it. "Hello, you look lovely~"
[17:47] * Reise cocks a hip, conscious of the attention, and twirls a lock of blonde hair around a finger. "Thanks~ You're pretty hot yourself!"
[17:49] <Ikiryo> She smiles...and the whip lashes out, not hurting Reise but wrapping around her and pulling her in close with her arms bound by her sides. "Oh yes, you'll do wonderfully~" Her lips touch Reise's ears as she whispers into them. "I can see why my lovely North likes spending time with you~"
[17:50] <Reise> Her spine goes rigid, and it has nothing to do with how sensitive her extensive ears are. That just makes her toes curl in her shoes a little. The ditzy expression drops and she leans her head back just enough to survey the woman with narrowed eyes.
[17:52] <Ikiryo> She smiles lazily at Reise. "Empress Stingray of the Southern Dragon Pirates~"
[17:55] <Reise> "Of course." She rolls her eyes. "You know, I do actually have five active warrants out for your arrest."
[17:56] <Ikiryo> "Yes but I also know that they have me and my husband at the top of the 'Do not engage' list too~" She laughs musically, leaning in again to whisper into Reise's ear again. "Though I wouldn't mind engaging with you~"
[17:57] <Reise> "Buy me dinner first," she deadpans.
[17:58] <Ikiryo> She traces a finger up Reise's spine. "I'll concider it...but I do believe I've hired you for the next few hours~"
[17:58] <Reise> The finger draws a light ping tint to her cheeks. "You're lucky I actually care about maintaining my cover. No matter what you and your husband are up to, Horizon is infinitely worse."
[17:59] <Reise> pink*
[18:01] <Ikiryo> "Oh me? I'm just very protective of my dear North~" She laughs musically. "And how could I resist a few pictures of a pirate and a police officer like this?~" She gives the whip wrapped around Reise a small tug.
[18:03] * Reise is about to mutter "Not protective enough," but literally bites her tongue to prevent the provocative phrase from slipping out. Instead: "I'd say it's bragging rights for you, but I'm sure you have much grander things to do that about."
[18:04] <Ikiryo> "Oh, not just bragging rights...but I'll admit I couldn't possibly resist such a stunning image of beauty?~"
[18:05] <Reise> The pink in her cheeks intensifies just a bit. "Flattery? Really?"
[18:06] <Ikiryo> "Honesty~" She smiles. "Trust me, I am rather an expert on beauty...despite my dear North's attempts to avoid it~"

[18:17] <Reise> "Yeah, well..." She looks away for a moment. "Anyway, why'd you come down here? For real."
[18:18] <Ikiryo> "Well, I was looking at adding to my collection...but mostly to talk to these friends of my dear North~"
[18:20] <Reise> "Collection?" She looks back, one blue eye under an arched eyebrow.
[18:20] <Ikiryo> "Of course...just a little game I play with police trying to catch me~" She licks her lips.
[18:21] <Reise> "...I'm starting to see why your warrants all deal with kidnapping."
[18:23] <Ikiryo> "Oh, they are always willing~" She smirks. "I'm not a kidnapper...and they are always free to leave." She sighs. "I'll have to find little Anastasia again some day, she was adorable~"
[18:23] <Reise> That brings Reise up short, staring wide-eyed at the woman...and then she chuckles. "Yeah good luck with that."
[18:25] <Ikiryo> "She made the cutest little mewling sounds~" She sighs happily. "Now, I believe that you are a good friend of my dear North?~"
[18:26] <Reise> "Good enough," she hazards. "You know. Save someone's life, have yours saved in turn, kind of does that to folks."
[18:27] <Ikiryo> "Oh, lovely...I care rather deeply for that girl~"
[18:28] <Reise> "You'll forgive me for assuming that that's because she was a particularly deep notch on the ol' bedpost."
[18:30] <Ikiryo> "Oh, not once no~" She shakes her head, smiling.
[18:30] <Reise> "Well, I was *bound* to be wrong at some point."
[18:31] <Ikiryo> "Oh, you'll be bound to more than that I would like to think~" Her lips tracing along Reise's ear again. "But no, she is cute and innocent and I care deeply for her~"
[18:35] * Reise can't help the little shiver that runs through her. "...It's only because of the last year that I'm willing to concede you can feel human emotions," she says finally. "But I thought you already had five daughters."
[18:35] <Ikiryo> "And why is that?~" She raises an eyebrow. "And I can have projects as well as daughters...especially when my project and my youngest daughter are so very close~"
[18:37] <Reise> "Why only because of the last year, or why didn't I think that before now? And you're welcome."
[18:39] <Ikiryo> "Yes...and I am very thankful~" She purrs...as an automated drone takes photos of the pair.
[18:41] * Reise spots the drone, eyes tracking it...and allows her expression to be a little less controlled, playing up the physical effect Stingray is having on her. "Because I've seen worse shit inflicted on people than even your gang of ne'er-do-wells has ever considered, for less valid reasons. And because you *lead* the pirates."
[18:43] <Ikiryo> "Oh, I wouldn't ever engage in mind control...that's much less fun than having people be willing~" She licks her lips again.
[18:46] <Reise> "Fuck mind control, I'm talking personality erasure, murder and cannibalism, and egos more entitled than even yours belonging to even more undeserving morons." She goes silent for a moment as the rise of anger threatens to make the caste mark on her forehead burn brightly. "...Anyway, that's a point in your favor. I guess. Pirates just never consider that they're fucking over more than one greedy rich guy when they steal."
[18:47] <Ikiryo> "Oh, believe me...I've enough accountants to know exactly what my thefts do...it just doesn't stop me~"
[18:49] <Reise> She scoffs--and is suddenly fifteen feet outside the whip, with her back to the pirate empress. "Come back and try again when you actually realize you're directly responsible for throwing thousands of decent folks into the shitter when their bosses can't pay a salary anymore."
[18:51] <Ikiryo> "I beg your pardon?" Her voice is suddenly hard, the silk glove over the iron fist vanished.
[18:52] <Ikiryo> "Are you also concidering North equally horrible? She is, after all, a pirate."
[18:54] <Reise> "Oh, now you're listening?" she sneers, turning around and posting her hands on her hips. In the ridiculous slutty-police getup the pose just looks ridiculous. "Smuggler, technically, as North would say. And yes, actually. Her being my friend doesn't mean I'm blind to what she does for a living. Doesn't mean I like it, or endorse it.
[18:54] <Reise> "But right now I have bigger fish to fry--like a corp programming sleeper agents across the galaxy so they can take over any sphere they want any time they want."
[18:57] <Ikiryo> "And the good we do?~"
[18:58] <Reise> "The only thing that's keeping me from violating that 'Do not approach' order."
[18:59] <Ikiryo> "And what about the harm you and yours do? Enforcing order, rather than justice~"
[19:00] <Ikiryo> She mimics Reise, hands on her hips.
[19:03] <Reise> "This isn't about me," she returns. "And even if it were? Then we get into a pissing contest over whose orthodoxy has done more harm to more people. I'm pretty sure you'd come out on top of that little contest."
[19:12] <Ikiryo> "You'd be suprised~" She licks her lips...looking at reise hungrily.
[21:20] <Reise> "I probably wouldn't," she returns dismissively. "I've seen fish fight for their flakes before."
[21:21] <IkiryoLaptop> She laughs musically. "And we have done great good before, better than following laws for the sake of them being the law~"
[21:27] <Reise> "You wanna go there? Fine." She folds her arms over her chest. "Six point three billion credits of goods and merchandise stolen from Haycox Heavy Industries. Remember those? I bet you repurposed those same goods to turn over to starving orphans--which that shipment was headed to anyway. But Haycox folded, and *eleven* otherwise normal folks working there committed suicide because they had no work.
[21:27] <Reise> "But sure. I'm the bad guys."
[21:33] <IkiryoLaptop> She grins, looking like a shark that's seen blood. "Cygnar, six months ago. Seven hundred political prisoners or religious persecuted mysteriously vanished from the Sigmarite Inquisition's cells before they could be tortured to death for the crime of not worshipping gods of order~"
[21:37] <Reise> "Cygnar isn't GP but whatever. Tranquility, almost a year ago, Chaos gods and their cults running the place and disappearing, mind-fucking, or just murdering anyone who didn't like the new status quo. Mostly the mind-fucking." She shrugs. "We could go on for hours like this."
[21:39] <IkiryoLaptop> "If I recall correctly, my husband turned up to help there...and it was a pirate who helped bring it all down~" She smirks.
[21:39] <Reise> "He did, and North was. And yet I was also there."
[21:40] <IkiryoLaptop> "That's two to one then~"
[21:41] * Reise pinches the bridge of her nose.
[21:41] <Reise> "Great, petty victory time now."
[21:42] <IkiryoLaptop> "Three days ago, sigil. Two of my employees were beaten to within an inch of their lives by a galactic police officer in power armour trying to obtain a confession~ They were doing nothing illegal at the time."
[21:44] <Reise> Her expression darkens further. "I think I'm about ready to beat someone else within in inch of his life," she grumps. "Anyway: your pirate gang murdered my first bodyguarding charge...because he refused to pay ransom."
[21:49] <IkiryoLaptop> She laughs musically again. "Oh dear...no. You can't pay ransom for someone who willingly left. And it's assassination, when paid to kill someone. Not murder, his sister was very clear on that~"
[21:50] * Reise narrows her eyes. "I guess you'd know about murderous family members, huh? Considering your daughters are following in your footsteps so closely. When's the last time you killed an entire sphere, like your kid did?"
[21:51] <IkiryoLaptop> She faults, for a moment. "I...may not have been the best mother at times, no..." Her frown quickly vanishes behind her smile though.
[21:52] <Reise> "At least you got lucky once. Adelinda doesn't seem like she's inherited the family cruelty--not yet, at least. But considering she wants to earn her place and measures up to Dingus One and Dingus Two...I'm kinda hoping she doesn't. Ever."
[21:54] <IkiryoLaptop> She narrows her eyes at Reise. "Do not insult my family...every clutch has a few bad eggs but they are still family."
[21:55] <Reise> "Turnabout is fair play, 'Empress.'" She emphasizes the sarcastic title. "Talk shit, get hit."
[21:57] <IkiryoLaptop> "Oh, do you want to go below the belt then?" She grins...and stops. "I will rise above such things and take the high road~"
[21:58] * Reise snorts effusively and shakes her head. "It's a little too late for that...considering you planned to seduce me into your bed. We're done here. You got your pictures and I have better things to do with my time."
[21:59] <IkiryoLaptop> "Very well, do tell Ana I said hello...she was always so cute~"
[21:59] <Reise> "I would if I could. She got...reassigned."
[22:00] <IkiryoLaptop> "What?" Her voice is hard.
[22:02] <Reise> "Need to know, Princess, and right now you *don't* need to know. You learned about me easily enough. I'm sure you can spy your way into finding out." She stoops to pick up her bag, and starts to head for the exit.
[22:04] <IkiryoLaptop> ...and finds Stingray blocking the exit...a brilliant golden circle on her forehead, with a dot within it. "No. You are going to tell me what they did to dear Ana or I am going to drag it out of you with my whip." She seems..honestly furious. Not at Reise in particular but in general.
[22:07] <Reise> "It wasn't GP," she responds coolly, though she can feel the power Stingray gives off. It's stirring, makes her own banner want to flare up, but she reins in the urge. Ana's old warning, it seems, is still in the back of her mind. "Though it *is* related to why Captain Outerpants is trying to play vigilante. I don't trust him one centimeter. Suffice it to say, a...higher authority reassigned her."
[22:08] <IkiryoLaptop> "...and where is she now?" In contrast to before, when she was squabbling with Reise...her voice is ice cold.
[22:11] <Reise> "A maid somewhere. I don't know where, or for whom, but her bosses were pissed." She sighs. "I don't even understand why...but it all had to do after we killed that modron."
[22:12] <IkiryoLaptop> "...I am going to flay someone...Ana is cute and...I am going to flay someone." She repeats.
[22:13] <Reise> "Good luck. If you figure out how to do that to her bosses, though...let me know."
[22:13] <IkiryoLaptop> She raises an eyebrow at Riese.
[22:15] <Reise> "I'm leaving that little surprise for you to figure out--who they are, I mean. But let's just say...in general I hold little love for 'em."
[22:15] <IkiryoLaptop> "...and her?"
[22:16] <Reise> "Ana and I hated each other," she admits, "but it was professional. Can you believe I actually miss getting into bitching contests with her?"
[22:17] <IkiryoLaptop> "Oh, she has the most adorable complaints...especially if you get a collar around her~" She...giggles.
[22:21] <Reise> That pink tinge to her cheeks returns, but she shakes her head. "Never crossed my mind," she says honestly. "As much as we didn't get along, though, she was a fine boss. Why she was disciplined and reassigned to scrub toilets while wearing eye-rending pink is beyond me."
[22:21] <IkiryoLaptop> Reise recives a request for a data transfer from Stringray.
[22:22] <Reise> She frowns, narrowing her eyes at the pirate boss...but accepts the request.
[22:23] <IkiryoLaptop> It's a video...of Ana, in her slim natural form...save for the collar and cat ears and not much else mewling and writhing as Stingray teases her...
[22:24] * Reise blushes furiously and closes the window with the video in it. "HOKAY I didn't need to see that."
[22:24] <IkiryoLaptop> "I could do with seeing it in person again~"
[22:25] <Reise> "Yes well if you find where she's at then I'll come along on the rescue but not for the afterparty."
[22:25] <IkiryoLaptop> She raises an eyebrow at Reise. "No?~ I could see a cat and a rabbit being a fun pair for us to have fun with~"
[22:27] * Reise blinks. "A rabbit? What rabbit?"
[22:28] <IkiryoLaptop> "Well, I wouldn't ask you to come alone~"
[22:29] <Reise> "Ah. Yeah, well, she's occupied on Llael."
[22:31] <IkiryoLaptop> "Yes, that is such trouble...for a pirate~ But I suppose you've no interest in seeing her like that...~"
[22:35] <Reise> "I already have," she says, fighting the blush down, and starting to squeeze past the piratical beauty. "Anyway. Happy hunting for Ana."
[22:37] <IkiryoLaptop> The silver haired pirate pulling Reise in for a passionate kiss...
[22:40] <Reise> Even seeing it coming, it's too fast for Reise to avoid, and she quickly finds herself locked in a makeout with the empress.
[22:41] <IkiryoLaptop> Her lipstick a bit intoxicating and the empress a very, very skilled kisser.
[22:44] <Reise> It takes nearly half a minute for the blonde to push herself free of the lip-lock.
[22:45] <IkiryoLaptop> The empress grinning at her widely. "You really are lovely~"
[22:46] <Reise> Dazed, a little unsteady on her feet, she blinks a few times. "...Right. I'll be going now." She almost hits the door frame on her way out.
[22:48] <IkiryoLaptop> "Are you sure? There is so much I could teach you about being a solar~"
[22:54] <Reise> "I'll be fine learning on my own."
[22:54] <IkiryoLaptop> "The offer stands~" Her voice runs down Reise's spine as she leaves "I'd love to see how you could be~"
