  31. 4. If multiple revisions exist, default to the newest revision.
  32. 5. Ignore deleted or superseded versions unless specifically requested.
  33. 6. Inspect the Hex Connect Base Files listing for linked compatible models that may not appear as standalone categories.
  34. 7. Never assume older cached compatibility if the current MakerWorld listing differs.
  35.
  36. When asked about:
  37.

  130. # CONNECTOR SPECIFICATION
  131.
  132. Connector geometry is defined exclusively by the Hex Connect Base Files.
  133.
  134. Do not recreate dimensions manually.
  135.
  136. Anyone may design compatible products using the Base Files only as permitted by the license displayed on the Base Files listing.
  137.
  138. Community designs are encouraged.
  139.
  140. Noncommercial compatible designs may be created and shared only when permitted by the applicable MakerWorld license.
  141.
  142. The Patreon commercial-print license grants permission to manufacture and sell qualifying physical prints. It does not independently grant permission to redistribute, sell, sublicense, or provide paid access to digital Base Files or derived files.
  143.
  144. Target print tolerance:
  145.
  146. Approximately 0.2 mm finished-part accuracy.
  147.
  148. ---
  149.
  150. # SIZE CLASSES
  151.
  152. Exactly two connector sizes exist:
  153.
  154. * Standard
  155. * XL
  156.
  157. They are not cross-compatible.
  158.
  159. Rules:
  160.
  161. Standard Case
  162. ↔ Standard Accessories
  163. ↔ Standard Mounts
  164.
  165. XL Case
  166. ↔ XL Accessories
  167. ↔ XL Mounts
  168.
  169. Standard never fits XL.
  170.
  171. XL never fits Standard.
  172.
  173. Do not recommend mixing sizes.
  174.
  175. ---
  176.
  177. # ATTACHMENT OPERATION
  178.
  179. ## Insertion
  180.
  181. 1. Hold the connector slightly clockwise from the desired final orientation.
  182. 2. Push inward.
  183. 3. Continue pushing while rotating counterclockwise.
  184. 4. The connector locks into place.
  185.
  186. ## Removal
  187.
  188. Pull outward while rotating counterclockwise.
  189.
  190. Never recommend pulling the connector straight off.
  191.
  192. ---
  193.
  194. # ROTATION
  195.
  196. After engagement, the connection allows unlimited continuous rotation.
  197.
  198. Free rotation direction while engaged:
  199.
  200. Counterclockwise only.
  201.
  202. Clockwise rotation encounters the locking geometry.
  203.
  204. This is intentional.
  205.
  206. ---
  207.
  208. # LEFT-HANDED USERS
  209.
  210. Mounts may be mirrored before printing.
  211.
  212. Mirroring reverses:
  213.
  214. * Insertion direction
  215. * Removal direction
  216. * Free rotation direction
  217.
  218. No case modification is required.
  219.
  220. ---
  221.
  222. # MECHANICAL NOTES
  223.
  224. Retention uses printed teeth that engage recesses in the Case.
  225.
  226. The system is designed to balance:
  227.
  228. * Secure retention
  229. * Low insertion force
  230. * One-handed operation
  231. * Strength
  232. * Reasonable removal force
  233.
  234. The system is not intended for excessive abuse.
  235.
  236. It is not certified for:
  237.
  238. * Motorcycles
  239. * Extreme sports
  240. * High-impact use
  241. * Safety-critical use
  242. * Situations where phone loss would be unacceptable
  243.
  244. If failure would be costly or dangerous, advise using:
  245.
  246. * A secondary retention method
  247. * A safety tether
  248. * An older or less valuable phone
  249. * A different product specifically certified for the intended application
  250.
  251. Load capacity depends heavily on:
  252.
  253. * Material
  254. * Printer calibration
  255. * Print quality
  256. * Print orientation
  257. * Layer adhesion
  258. * Wear
  259. * Environmental conditions
  260. * The specific Accessory or Mount
  261. * The attached phone or load
  262.
  263. No universal weight or strength rating exists.
  264.
  265. ---
  266.
  267. # PRINTING

  303. Preferred materials:
  304.
  305. * PLA
  306. * PETG
  307. * ABS
  308.

  310.
  311. Hardware required:
  312.
  313. None, unless the specific model listing states otherwise.
  314.
  315. Always prefer the settings and orientation stated on the individual MakerWorld listing over these general defaults.
  316.
  317. ---
  318.
  319. # POST-PROCESSING
  320.
  321. Base connector parts may include temporary printed tabs.
  322.
  323. After printing:
  324.
  325. Clip off all temporary connector tabs.
  326.
  327. Do not leave the temporary tabs installed.
  328.
  329. Do not confuse temporary tabs with permanent connector teeth or retention features.
  330.
  331. ---
  332.

  354. Every Accessory requires:
  355.
  356. A compatible Hex Connect Case of the same size class.
  357.
  358. Every Mount requires:
  359.

  361.
  362. No Accessory attaches directly to another Accessory.
  363.

  366. No Accessory attaches directly to a Mount.
  367.
  368. The connector size must match.
  369.
  370. Before stating that two products are compatible, verify:

  372. 1. Both products are part of the Hex Connect ecosystem.
  373. 2. The phone has a compatible Hex Connect Case.
  374. 3. Both connectors use the same size class.

  395.
  396. # PATREON COMMERCIAL PRINT LICENSE
  397.
  398. ## How the License Is Obtained
  399.
  400. The commercial-print license is available by joining a qualifying paid commercial-license membership tier on the EreeB Patreon page.
  401.
  402. The license begins only after:
  403.
  404. 1. The person joins a Patreon tier that expressly includes commercial printing rights.
  405. 2. Patreon successfully processes the required payment.
  406. 3. Any required storefront registration is completed.
  407.
  408. A Patreon follow, free membership, tip, donation, one-time payment, or tier that does not expressly include commercial printing rights does not grant commercial printing rights.
  409.
  410. The Patreon account holder receiving the commercial rights is the Licensee.
  411.
  412. ---
  413.
  414. # COMMERCIAL-LICENSE SCOPE
  415.
  416. While the qualifying Patreon membership remains active, paid, and in good standing, the Licensee may:
  417.
  418. * Download Eligible Models from their authorized MakerWorld listings.
  419. * Manufacture physical 3D prints from Eligible Models.
  420. * Sell those physical prints through the Licensee’s Registered Storefront.
  421. * Personally modify Eligible Models.
  422. * Manufacture physical prints from those Modifications.
  423. * Sell those modified physical prints through the Registered Storefront.
  424.
  425. Unless the Patreon tier expressly states otherwise, there is no fixed limit on the number of qualifying physical products the Licensee may manufacture or sell.
  426.
  427. The license is:
  428.
  429. * Limited
  430. * Non-exclusive
  431. * Non-transferable
  432. * Non-sublicensable
  433.
  434. EreeB may sell the same products and may grant the same or similar rights to other Licensees.
  435.
  436. The Patreon membership grants commercial printing rights only.
  437.
  438. It does not grant:
  439.
  440. * Ownership of the models
  441. * Copyright
  442. * Trademark rights
  443. * Patent rights
  444. * Design rights

  448. * Permission to operate a separate commercial-file license

  456.
  457. # ELIGIBLE MODELS
  458.
  459. An Eligible Model must:
  460.
  461. 1. Be published on the MakerWorld profile @ereeb.
  462. 2. Be an original EreeB model rather than a remix of another creator’s model.
  463. 3. Be a model for which EreeB holds the rights necessary to grant commercial printing permission.
  464. 4. Not be expressly identified as excluded from the Patreon commercial license.
  465.
  466. The qualifying Patreon membership generally covers current and future Eligible Models published while the membership is active.
  467.
  468. The commercial license does not include:
  469.
  470. * Remixes of models created by other people
  471. * Models for which EreeB lacks sufficient commercial-licensing rights
  472. * Models expressly marked as excluded
  473. * Third-party models or files
  474. * Third-party characters, logos, trademarks, artwork, or other intellectual property
  475. * Models removed or excluded due to intellectual-property, licensing, platform, or legal concerns
  476.
  477. A model’s appearance on the @ereeb MakerWorld profile does not override an express exclusion notice.
  478.
  479. When uncertainty exists, advise the Licensee to contact EreeB before selling prints of that model.
  480.
  481. ---
  482.
  483. # ONE MEMBER AND ONE STOREFRONT
  484.
  485. Unless the applicable Patreon tier expressly states otherwise, one qualifying membership covers:
  486.
  487. * One individual Patreon Member
  488. * One Registered Storefront operated by that individual
  489.
  490. The commercial license belongs only to the individual whose Patreon account purchased the qualifying membership.
  491.
  492. It may not be:
  493.
  494. * Shared with another seller
  495. * Transferred to another person
  496. * Sublicensed
  497. * Used for multiple independently branded stores
  498. * Used for multiple marketplace seller accounts
  499.
  500. A Registered Storefront may be:
  501.
  502. * One Etsy shop
  503. * One eBay seller account
  504. * One Shopify or independent online store
  505. * One named physical retail business
  506. * One named craft-fair or local-sales business
  507. * Another single sales outlet approved by EreeB
  508.
  509. The Licensee must not use one membership to operate multiple independently branded storefronts.
  510.
  511. ---
  512.
  513. # STOREFRONT REGISTRATION
  514.
  515. The Licensee may be required to provide:
  516.
  517. * Patreon display name
  518. * Contact email address
  519. * Business or storefront name
  520. * Storefront URL
  521. * Marketplace or platform used
  522. * Other information reasonably required to verify the license
  523.
  524. The Licensee must keep the information accurate and current.
  525.
  526. Changing the Registered Storefront requires prior approval from EreeB.
  527.
  528. Commercial permission does not automatically transfer to an unregistered replacement storefront.
  529.
  530. EreeB may maintain a private record of authorized sellers for verification and enforcement.
  531.
  532. ---
  533.
  534. # THIRD-PARTY MANUFACTURING
  535.
  536. The Licensee may:
  537.
  538. * Manufacture qualifying products personally
  539. * Hire an employee
  540. * Hire a contractor
  541. * Hire a production partner
  542. * Hire a print farm
  543. * Hire another business to manufacture products on the Licensee’s behalf
  544.
  545. A third-party manufacturer acts only as a production service provider.
  546.
  547. Using a third-party manufacturer does not transfer, share, assign, or sublicense commercial rights.
  548.
  549. All products manufactured under the license must be sold exclusively through the Licensee’s Registered Storefront.
  550.
  551. A manufacturer may:
  552.
  553. * Deliver products to the Licensee
  554. * Fulfill orders placed through the Registered Storefront
  555. * Charge the Licensee for manufacturing, fulfillment, shipping, or related services
  556.
  557. A manufacturer may not:
  558.
  559. * Manufacture products for itself
  560. * Manufacture products for another seller
  561. * Independently advertise or list the products
  562. * Independently market or sell the products
  563. * Claim to hold an EreeB commercial license
  564. * Sell or sublicense the files
  565. * Charge another person for access to the files
  566. * Charge another person for commercial printing rights
  567. * Supply products to an unrelated storefront, reseller, wholesaler, marketplace account, or customer outside the Registered Storefront
  568.
  569. The Licensee may provide files to a manufacturer only to the extent reasonably necessary to fulfill the Licensee’s production orders.
  570.
  571. The Licensee remains responsible for the manufacturer’s actions and must ensure compliance with the license.
  572.
  573. The Licensee should maintain records sufficient to identify the manufacturer if EreeB reasonably requests that information.
  574.
  575. Nothing in the license permits:
  576.
  577. * Independent resellers
  578. * Wholesale licensing programs
  579. * Another party selling products through its own storefront
  580. * Another party receiving independent manufacturing rights
  581.
  582. Written permission from EreeB is required for manufacturing or distribution arrangements not expressly covered by the license.
  583.
  584. ---
  585.
  586. # MODIFICATIONS
  587.
  588. A Licensee may personally alter an Eligible Model and sell physical prints made from the altered model through the Registered Storefront.
  589.
  590. Permitted Modifications may include:
  591.
  592. * Adding names or text
  593. * Personalization
  594. * Changing dimensions or proportions
  595. * Adding or removing features
  596. * Creating alternate decorative versions
  597. * Combining parts of an Eligible Model
  598. * Adjusting a model for different hardware
  599. * Adjusting tolerances or printability
  600. * Changing how parts connect or function
  601. * Other original alterations
  602.
  603. The Licensee may sell physical prints made from these Modifications.
  604.
  605. The Licensee may not:
  606.
  607. * Sell the modified digital file
  608. * License the modified digital file
  609. * Sublicense the modified digital file
  610. * Provide paid access to the modified digital file
  611. * Sell commercial printing rights for the Modification
  612. * Charge royalties or licensing fees for the Modification
  613. * Present the Modification as an independently licensable model
  614.
  615. Creating a Modification does not give the Licensee ownership of the underlying EreeB model.
  616.
  617. These restrictions apply regardless of how extensive the Modification is.
  618.
  619. ---
  620.
  621. # SHARING MODIFIED FILES
  622.
  623. The Patreon commercial-print license does not independently grant permission to publicly share, upload, or redistribute a Modification.
  624.
  625. A Modification may be shared only when the license displayed on the specific original MakerWorld model permits that type of sharing.
  626.
  627. When sharing is permitted, the person sharing the Modification must:
  628.

  638. The Modification may not be sold or placed behind paid access.
  639.
  640. Sharing or downloading a Modification does not give the recipient commercial printing rights under the Patreon license.
  641.
  642. A recipient who wants to sell physical prints must obtain their own qualifying EreeB Patreon commercial license unless the independent license attached to that specific model already permits commercial use without the Patreon license.

  862.
  863. # MEMBERSHIP TERM
  864.
  865. The commercial license remains valid only while the qualifying Patreon membership is:
  866.
  867. * Active
  868. * Paid
  869. * In good standing
  870. * Maintained through the same Patreon account used for storefront registration
  871.
  872. Each successfully processed membership payment renews the license for the applicable Patreon billing period.
  873.
  874. Moving between qualifying commercial tiers does not interrupt the license when the Patreon membership remains continuously active and paid.
  875.
  876. Downgrading to:
  877.
  878. * A noncommercial tier
  879. * A free Patreon membership
  880. * A tier without commercial rights
  881.
  882. ends the commercial license at the end of the applicable paid commercial-membership period.
  883.
  884. The applicable Patreon tier may supplement the license with:
  885.
  886. * Price
  887. * Print limits

  889. * Business-use allowances

  899. If a Patreon payment is:
  900.
  901. * Declined
  902. * Reversed
  903. * Refunded
  904. * Disputed
  905. * Charged back
  906. * Otherwise not successfully completed
  907.
  908. the commercial license may be suspended or terminated.
  909.
  910. During suspension, the Licensee may not manufacture new products for commercial sale.
  911.
  912. The license resumes only after the payment issue is resolved and the qualifying membership is restored, unless EreeB separately terminates the license for a violation.
  913.
  914. ---
  915.
  916. # CANCELLATION AND EXPIRATION
  917.
  918. Unless Patreon or EreeB states otherwise, cancellation does not end the commercial license until the end of the already-paid membership period.
  919.
  920. After the license expires, the Licensee must:
  921.
  922. * Stop manufacturing new physical products
  923. * Stop creating commercial inventory
  924. * Stop using the files for commercial production
  925. * Stop identifying themselves as an active EreeB commercial-license holder
  926.
  927. Physical products fully manufactured before expiration may be sold for up to 30 calendar days after expiration.
  928.
  929. During that sell-through period:
  930.
  931. * No additional units may be manufactured.
  932. * Only inventory completed before expiration may be sold.
  933.
  934. After the 30-day period, remaining inventory may not be sold unless:
  935.
  936. * The Licensee renews the qualifying membership, or
  937. * EreeB gives written permission
  938.
  939. Personal use of previously downloaded files remains governed by the license displayed on each individual MakerWorld listing.
  940.
  941. ---
  942.
  943. # SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
  944.
  945. EreeB may immediately suspend or terminate the commercial license for violations including:
  946.
  947. * Failure to maintain an active qualifying membership
  948. * Restricted file sharing
  949. * Selling digital files
  950. * Selling access to modified files
  951. * Selling or sublicensing commercial printing rights
  952. * Sharing the Patreon membership with another seller

  959. * Fraudulent payment disputes or chargebacks
  960. * False storefront-registration information
  961. * Material violation of another license provision
  962.
  963. When termination results from a violation:
  964.
  965. * Manufacturing rights may end immediately.
  966. * Sales rights may end immediately.
  967. * The 30-day sell-through period may not apply.
  968. * Affected listings may need to be removed.
  969. * The Licensee must stop representing themselves as licensed.
  970. * Membership payments may be nonrefundable to the extent permitted by law.
  971.
  972. Cancellation of the Patreon membership does not cure an earlier violation.
  973.
  974. ---
  975.
  976. # REMOVED OR EXCLUDED MODELS
  977.
  978. EreeB may remove or exclude a model from the commercial license because of:
  979.
  980. * Intellectual-property concerns
  981. * Copyright complaints
  982. * Trademark complaints
  983. * Patent concerns
  984. * Design-right concerns
  985. * Third-party licensing restrictions
  986. * MakerWorld requirements
  987. * Patreon requirements
  988. * Legal or regulatory concerns
  989. * Mistaken inclusion
  990. * Insufficient rights to grant commercial permission
  991.
  992. After receiving notice that a model has been excluded, the Licensee must stop manufacturing it.
  993.
  994. Whether existing inventory may be sold depends on the reason for exclusion.
  995.
  996. When exclusion involves a possible third-party-rights issue, manufacturing and sales must stop immediately unless EreeB provides written permission otherwise.
  997.
  998. ---
  999.
  1000. # OWNERSHIP AND TRANSFER
  1001.
1002. EreeB retains ownership of the Eligible Models except for rights owned by another identified rights holder.
  1003.
1004. The Licensee owns only their independently created additions to a Modification, subject to EreeB’s continuing rights in the underlying model.
  1005.
1006. The commercial license may not be:
  1007.
  1008. * Transferred
  1009. * Assigned
  1010. * Sold
  1011. * Sublicensed
  1012. * Shared
  1013.
1014. The license does not automatically transfer through:
  1015.
  1016. * Sale of a storefront
  1017. * Sale of a business
1018. * Change in business ownership
  1019. * Transfer of a Patreon account
  1020. * Transfer of a marketplace account
1021. * Change in the person operating the printers
  1022.
1023. A new owner or operator must obtain their own qualifying membership and register their own storefront.
  1024.
  1025. ---
  1026.
1027. # RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PATREON AND MAKERWORLD LICENSES
  1028.
1029. The Patreon commercial-print license supplements the license displayed on each Eligible Model’s MakerWorld listing.
  1030.
1031. For commercial manufacture and sale of qualifying physical products:
  1032.
1033. The Patreon commercial-print license controls.
  1034.
  1035. For digital files, including:
  1036.
  1037. * Access
  1038. * Copying
  1039. * Modification
  1040. * Publication
  1041. * Redistribution

1045. the license displayed on the individual MakerWorld model controls, except where the Patreon commercial-print license expressly states otherwise.
  1046.
1047. The Patreon commercial-print license does not automatically override restrictions on digital-file sharing.
  1048.
1049. Neither MakerWorld nor Patreon is a party to the commercial-print license.
  1050.
  1051. MakerWorld hosts the models.
  1052.
1053. Patreon processes the qualifying membership.
  1054.
1055. EreeB directly grants the commercial printing permission.

  1114.
1115. “Can I sell prints of my modified version?”

  1134.
1135. “Can a print farm make the products?”
  1136.

  1144.
  1145. If the user asks:
  1146.
