Petrifying Aegis #3

Spinning through a few hordes of non-magi, and lesser magi, the Red Paladin made his advance throughout the troves as he then came up on the blonde haired Krausite that had often preached her devout faith in many different revenues.

He didn't hold much ill will for the woman, but he knew her to be a zealot, offering a single glance to her as he looked about, realizing that it was the two of them.

She was skilled.

The scarlet haired warrior knew that well, spinning his blades in either hand once as he let out a sigh. He'd trained much for this oncoming front, but he knew that things often never panned out, especially in war.

"Ashera Ixis…. We never talked, much."

A slight tug at his lips, as he looked upon her, his eyes taking up a glowing hue and arcs of energy dancing about his form. It was a pleasantry, but he assumed she'd call him a monster, and then lop him in half.

He had much riding on this, and yet he still vied to see her as an individual, as a warrior. Measuring the distance between either of them he'd take his stance, continuing his chat.

"You've got just as much to lose, I know. So lets just make this a duel, the better man, or woman wins...we both have families to go back to, but our causes are polar opposites.

Let's just...begin."

[19:27] Ashera would slowly enter the enemy that was Chroma. She would have little to no hesitation to fight and destroy the enemies of Agartha. He was just many of them that needed to be dealt with. The Krausite paladin would prepare herself. As she would walk towards her enemy, drawing as much energy from the lifestream as possible.

"This has gone on for way to long Chroma. I will put an end towards dawn and its evils before I leave this earth. And your people will be held accountable for what they have done. I wont let the future generations suffer for the evils you had put people through."

Ashera would point her blade towards Chroma as she would flare up with pure justice and will. She has done this for many years over the time and had fought in many battles before. She had given faith a promise to come back home alive, she plans to keep it.

With that said, the paladin would maintain a defensive stance. awaiting for the enemy energy mage to come and engage her. The krausite paladins faith to continue on reveals to be constant and unwavering. And had never failed to prove that time and time again.

"Surrender. Or draw your blade at your own risk."

Ashera would say with upmost sterness and resolve.

[19:55] Ashera would continue her heavy fight. The enemy Chroma would give it everything that he has gotten. However the blows of the enemy has grown even stronger as of now. The abilities of energy magic was very much an astounding thing. As the powers that had come with it...

But at that point. As each strike would hit Ashera at her weakest. But at that point. She would see a future... A future with her and her kids and people around her... Have a brighter future than this... A future where corruption would never arise and peer its ugly head once more.

At that moment... Ashera would be at her fullest. As she would get back up and would feel a strong sense of will once more. The very spell that she tested would slowly come into fruition in its weakest times.

"I will NOT die...NOT YET!"

Ashera would yell, As Ashera's skin would glow into a first layer of holy healing. Numbing the damage of the attacks, and providing healing for each of the blows. She would then apply another layer atop of that. Petrifying her skin into a holy marble, one that is hard to scratch at the surface, ignoring most blows that come within her way.

Ashera would feel the sense of responsibility... A sense to try and save the people from the jaws of corruption... The glowing will within her to push forward when all odds are against her.

Ashera would push forward with her attacks, as she would feel more of a drain the longer she fights on, The Krausite paladin would finish off Chroma with an overhead blow. And send him flying as she fought. knocking the man unconscious with her petrified fist..

"That's enough from you."

The paladin would disarm the unconscious body, and carry the disarmed enemy with her.

[20:05] Through the fight, Chroma would feel like he'd just seen the end of a line in essence.

He'd hit Ashera, and strike with his vigorous might, but, his efforts didn't quite pay off, everything he did seemed delayed in sluggish, perhaps giving his blood to Neo had led to him being a bit more ornery than usual? Regardless this was not his day.

Dawn fought on though, the things he'd sacrificed here and there gave his comrades the edge they needed to prevail with his spirit giving them what they needed for that "umph".

That was enough, in essence.

Chroma may have fallen, but his family, and friends could live on.

The Marble fist flew into the sky, as he took a moment to look back over his shoulder, he saw in the distance his people triumphing in troves, and the night being cascaded in a resounding victory for those he cherished.

He'd wear his smile again, oddly enough as she collided down with him and his lights faded, he'd send his spirit somewhere else, traipsing through the leylines here and there to pat the shoulders of those victorious.

"Fight on Dawn..."

His beacon wasn't for him, but a flare of hope that Valmasia would rise again.
