- [1/8/2015 7:39:25 AM] Scoots: Morning, I gotta head into work soon for a small roll call
- [1/8/2015 7:40:43 AM] EC - Personal: Good morning Scoots. ^_^ How are you doing today?
- [1/8/2015 7:53:53 AM] Scoots: Dude, it is fucking cold outside bro
- [1/8/2015 7:54:07 AM] Scoots: I think it 12 degrees
- [1/8/2015 8:01:02 AM] EC - Personal: Yeah, that's how cold it is where I am too. Have to put a heater right next to me because of how cold it is.
- [1/8/2015 8:02:21 AM] Scoots: It's a good thing a bought that heater for my room, what are you doing? Getting ready for work?
- [1/8/2015 8:09:15 AM] EC - Personal: Well not really. I used to get up this way early back when I was going to work, and it was a habit that I just kept after that job ended. Now, I just use this time to work on art projects, practice, and talk with Zakk before he goes to bed.
- [1/8/2015 8:12:10 AM] Scoots: Ahhhh, luuucky! I gotta wake up every weekday to go to work, rain or rain! Though ever since we been back, it's been pretty laid back for a while
- [1/8/2015 8:16:07 AM] EC - Personal: That's good news at least, so you don't have to work very hard. I'd say that you deserve that much after being in Spain for 8 months.
- [1/8/2015 8:20:40 AM] Scoots: Pffft, welp back from roll call
- [1/8/2015 8:21:27 AM] Scoots: Well looking at it all, that might end soon since I know a hike is coming up, I didn't take leave for December, so I'm taking it for January to catch a break of my own.
- [1/8/2015 8:28:39 AM] EC - Personal: Yeah, that sounds like a good idea to me. It's always good to take some time away from work when you can. ^_^
- [1/8/2015 8:29:18 AM] Scoots: I was up last night til 3 in the morning trying to complete an MvM tour.
- [1/8/2015 8:29:52 AM] Scoots: Bro, I had been through maybe 14 groups of people till I final got pitted with a team that was up to finishing the damn thing
- [1/8/2015 8:34:47 AM] EC - Personal: Wow, that sounds pretty rough. At least you were able to win eventually, so that's good. I'd like to try out a MvM game myself later if I have a chance.
- [1/8/2015 8:36:06 AM] Scoots: What's funny, it was the first mission for the Mecha Engie update and the second mission to bedrock is actually EASIER. The first mission on waves 1, 3, and 6 throw practically the hardest waves on that tour
- [1/8/2015 8:37:38 AM] Scoots: Wave 6 has 3 tanks, 10 Giant Heavys, 8 Giant Soldiers, craptons of crit boosted robots ranging from Pyros, Scouts, Demomen, Solders, AND HEAVIES, and 2 Giant medics with Engies and Snipers assisting them
- [1/8/2015 8:37:54 AM] Scoots: That wave is nightmarish.
- [1/8/2015 8:41:00 AM] Scoots: There actually came a point were we didn't even get serious about it and went all Engie
- [1/8/2015 8:41:36 AM] EC - Personal: Wow, how did that turn out?
- [1/8/2015 8:43:16 AM] Scoots: I have to say it was probably hilarious, cause that still failed even after we had the other two dudes go 1 pyro and 1 medic, we're just sitting there killing most of the bots quickly though the Super Scouts would manage to get pass because of the tanks at the bottle neck to the cavern.
- [1/8/2015 8:43:59 AM] Scoots: After that failed, we just went powerhouse classes with the medic and wiped the wave right on it's ass at that point.
- [1/8/2015 8:50:18 AM] EC - Personal: That's surprising, but now that I think about it, it does make a lot of sense. I always kinda assumed that the Engies could wipe out the waves by themselves with enough sentries around, but the strong and fast bot could definitely get past them, and the tanks would draw enough fire that the other bots could get past unharmed.
- [1/8/2015 8:51:43 AM] Scoots: Tanks can run down Sentries and other buildings in the way is another reason, also the fact that 2-3 Sentry busters would be charging at us every few seconds, so yeah, there was that too.
- [1/8/2015 8:55:00 AM] EC - Personal: Ah, good point. I'd almost forgotten about those sentry busters. >_<
- [1/8/2015 8:55:58 AM] Scoots: Yeah, there were times that we couldn't save the sentries before they got blown, even after trying to add the medic and pyro to the equation.
- [1/8/2015 9:04:50 AM] EC - Personal: Yeah, I can definitely understand that, and that's a funny picture! At least you got to get into a photo while being blown to bits. XD Hey, it's about time for me to get a morning walk in and get back to work on my comissions, but I'll be online later today if you want to chat then.
- [1/8/2015 9:05:46 AM] Scoots: Alrighty, I was about to go soon anyway, I gotta go sign papers for a government card that apparently can't be used even for travel despite it's name
- [1/8/2015 9:06:21 AM] Scoots: If you ask me, I have no idea why such a process exists, but then I remember that working retail is still a thing.
- [1/8/2015 9:06:29 AM] Scoots: See ya! Have a good walk!
- [1/8/2015 9:06:57 AM] EC - Personal: See ya later! ^_^
- [1/8/2015 9:07:07 AM] Scoots: hugs
- [1/8/2015 8:13:09 PM] EC - Personal: Heya Scoots. How's everything with you?
- [1/8/2015 8:24:27 PM] Scoots: AWESOME
- [1/8/2015 8:24:52 PM] Scoots: I just finished my MvM Two Cities 5th tour and got an Aussie weapon
- [1/8/2015 8:25:18 PM] Scoots: What about you mate?
- [1/8/2015 8:27:25 PM] EC - Personal: I'm doing good, thanks for asking. ^_^ Currently just working on art as always, and reliving a bit of my childhood with FF7 every so often.
- [1/8/2015 8:28:01 PM] Scoots: Dang, you know what, I should've just sent you that PS1 emulator I have
- [1/8/2015 8:32:41 PM] EC - Personal: Well, I think I know where to find one online already too. If it works, I might try to find a ROM of Energhiz to play on it.
- [1/8/2015 8:33:51 PM] Scoots: I have one that is working man
- [1/8/2015 8:33:59 PM] Scoots: All of the parts for it needed
- [1/8/2015 8:34:03 PM] Scoots: No need to look
- [1/8/2015 8:34:17 PM] Scoots: Shoot, you could've been playing FF7 for free!
- [1/8/2015 8:36:34 PM] EC - Personal: Yeah, good point. I probably should've thought to get a ROM of the game first instead of buying it from Steam. There's actually a DRM block on the game too, so I can't play it without signing into my Square Enix account...which requires me to be online during the entire game session.
- [1/8/2015 8:37:45 PM] Scoots: Man Square really knows how to be a ball buster huh?
- [1/8/2015 8:40:46 PM | Edited 8:41:27 PM] EC - Personal: Yeah...it's sad that they're going through all this problem to protect their game from theft, yet we can find a copy of their game online for free already.
- [1/8/2015 8:41:15 PM] EC - Personal: Why punish the people who are actuall paying for the game? >_>
- [1/8/2015 8:42:07 PM] Scoots: Business needs security and security keeps businesses afloat, just a system mate, nothing to worry about.
- [1/8/2015 8:48:04 PM] EC - Personal: Well, some business measures make more sense then others. They'll definitely get the people with FF7 nostalgia, like me, but they'll scare away the newcomers who want the game because they heard it was good. Still, if it works, then I suppose it's fine.
- [1/8/2015 8:48:17 PM] EC - Personal: By the way, have you ever played The Ship?
- [1/8/2015 8:49:31 PM] Scoots: Nevah heard of it.
- [1/8/2015 8:53:43 PM] EC - Personal: Oh, now that's a seriously fun versus game. If you had it, I'd definitely love to play with you and Durgon and Will sometime.
- [1/8/2015 8:54:09 PM] Scoots: Huh, I'll look into it
- [1/8/2015 8:54:44 PM] EC - Personal: Okay, sounds good.
- [1/8/2015 8:55:13 PM] Scoots: Ah yes, you wanted to discuss that crossover idea or did you want to do something else?
- [1/8/2015 8:58:27 PM | Edited 8:58:39 PM] EC - Personal: Well, I think you wanted to discuss some ideas for the crossover, right? Did you already have some in mind for that, or do you want to brainstorm?
- [1/8/2015 8:59:10 PM] Scoots: Well, first the idea to toss and then your thoughts and what you'd want to add to it.
- [1/8/2015 9:05:34 PM] Scoots: You ready?
- [1/8/2015 9:10:23 PM] EC - Personal: Yep, I'm ready. So, what idea did you want to toss in first?
- [1/8/2015 9:14:09 PM] Scoots: Scoots and his peers recently took up a job by the United Government to collect relics from other dimensions, so dimension travel is slightly a thing to this. Main relics are blue, so Scoots pretty much enters your characters' universe to hunt down 2 of them, until it's later revealed that a 3rd one exists.
- The only difference is this 3rd relic is red and boasts more power than the regular blue ones, so as Scoots is there, no one knows who he is, he jokes around about his real name to keep on the mission.
- [1/8/2015 9:22:45 PM] Scoots: Well, uhhh what do you think?
- [1/8/2015 9:22:46 PM] EC - Personal: That's an interesting idea for a crossover, though I'm curious as to how those relics got into each dimension, and how your government knew about all of them as well. Maybe a villain with the ability to travel dimensions stole them from your universe and took them into other universes? Or maybe there they were separated centuries ago, and you have to travel the dimensions and follow the clues to find in a indiana Jones sort-of way.
- [1/8/2015 9:26:42 PM] Scoots: Well, there was a certain link for the red relic you see, it's a missing bit to Garite, which Grangel herself hid, along with the Eternal Crown, Garite, despite getting tossed into other worlds by Grangel, is always trying to hunt her down since she the only one who know what she did with it.
- The true intentions of Garite are still a mystery, but Grangel's is clear.
- [1/8/2015 9:35:37 PM] EC - Personal: Without context, that honestly sounded just a bit confusing to me. But maybe having villians from both of our worlds get involved would be interesting though. I'll probably have to create some new villains for this story, since I'm repurposing Samil for the new comic as well.
- [1/8/2015 9:38:46 PM] Scoots: That's pretty much the route I was actually seeing this going, both villains for each other universe trying to gain power after a discovery
- [1/8/2015 9:45:08 PM] EC - Personal: Yeah, I agree with you there. So, what do the relics do? Do they have abilities, and is there an important purpose in collecting them all together, like making a key to some ancient temple or weapon?
- [1/8/2015 9:50:46 PM] Scoots: They happen to be a keys for dimensional travel, what keep rips from happening, but since Grangel managed to spread them across the multiverse from their original location. They boast amazing power, fragments from the relics along are use to power mechas in another universe from other mercenary scouting missions to find them.
- [1/8/2015 9:53:29 PM] Scoots: They can be used to power devastating weapons in classes of their own power. The red one's power is comparable to 100 of the original relics, though people who've managed across find it to be something unstable if not used properly, being that Garite and Grangel are two being that seem to be linked to it and cannot be consumed by it's power.
- [1/8/2015 10:06:10 PM] EC - Personal: Okay, I think I understand. So Garite and Grangel are the villains for your side?
- [1/8/2015 10:06:40 PM] Scoots: Moreso Grangel
- [1/8/2015 10:11:22 PM] EC - Personal: Okay, then I'll have to think up two villians for my side as well, to balance out the villain equation. I already have an idea for one of them, a small floating toony character, though I haven't thought up a name for them yet. The other I'll make a hardcore warrior type, since I'd like to have some fight scenes involved as well. I'll probably throw in Travis as well, but only as a comic-relief villain who doesn't realy care about taking over the world.
- [1/8/2015 10:12:19 PM] Scoots: I have to ask, I know in terms Will considers Grayson a weenie, is that the same with Travis?
- [1/8/2015 10:16:39 PM] EC - Personal: Actually, Travis is a genius inventor with the physical brute strength to hoist heavy mallets over his head...since he's not a toon like Tammy, he actually has to train his body to be that strong. Personallity wise, he's witty and clever, but hardy ever takes things seriously, which is why he is never seen as a true villain. His biggest downfall is his insanity and never-ending obsession with toony stuff, which is the only reason why he makes mistakes and gets hurt as often as he does.
- [1/8/2015 10:19:22 PM] Scoots: Ahh I see! Just that when he's getting his tricks turned on him and traps/pranks being flipped in his face and getting beat by more serious and skilled people makes him that way. So in other words he's pretty much a psycho who can't be taken seriously.
- [1/8/2015 10:26:25 PM | Edited 10:27:49 PM] EC - Personal: Pretty much! He's kinda like the Joker, only instead of hurting people and robbing banks, he's building complex machines and investing all of his talent and brainpower into tricking and trapping toons. He acts like a cliche' cartoon villian because that's literally all he thinks about and wants to be. He just loves playing that role, capturing toons and ranting about his plans and how clever he is and how he's beaten them. And especially watching them be flattened or stretched or melted, etc.
- [1/8/2015 10:30:48 PM | Edited 10:31:25 PM] EC - Personal: Which usually goes about as well as you'd think, because many of his victims end up kicking the crap out of him. So yeah, he's talented, strong, and smart...but he's also insane and wastes all that potential on squashing toons. He'd probably be a mad scientist bent on taking over the world if toons and shape-shifters didn't exist in his world.
- [1/8/2015 10:35:52 PM] Scoots: How did he even get stuck there? XD
- [1/8/2015 10:46:40 PM | Edited 10:47:06 PM] EC - Personal: Well, the world that he lives in is a world where many different types of creatures seem to coexist. Legend holds that many of them were the descendents of travelers from other neighboring dimensions, which would kinda explain why humans, toons, anthros, and shapeshifters can all live in the same city together. Travis is probably a good example of the possble negative side effects of being exposed to such a combination of vastly different creatures, considering that he'd always thought that he should've been born a toon instead of an anthro as a child.
- [1/8/2015 10:48:23 PM] Scoots: Ahhh, the child who wished he was born with the fate life has left him to lead
- [1/8/2015 10:51:41 PM | Edited 10:52:01 PM] EC - Personal: Yeah, very true. In Travis' case, that wish turned into an obsession that would ultimately dominate his entire life. Simply put, if he couldn't be a toon, then he could at least act like one. And by playing the villain that loves to squish and stretch toons, it made he feel like he was one of them as well.
- [1/8/2015 10:52:56 PM] EC - Personal: Even if that meant visiting the hospital more times than any toon ever would. XD
- [1/8/2015 10:54:36 PM] Scoots: Ahh, but it seems to be on the other foot if he's somehow sub come to the effect that happen to toons while still being flesh, ie the dislike of being poked by Scoots deflate knives! XD
- [1/8/2015 11:09:33 PM] EC - Personal: Hehe, that's a good point! I'm pretty curious to see how Scoots would react to seeing a insane kangaroo with a mallet. Funny thing is, Travis would probably not be interested in Scoots at first because he's not a toon...but once he realizes that Scoots can flatten himself out, he'd be chasing Scoots around with a mallet all day until he gets deflated.
- [1/8/2015 11:10:37 PM] EC - Personal: For someone like him, the harder it is to catch a toon, the more he'll want to do it. And that's why Mia's beaten him up so many times...
- [1/8/2015 11:12:12 PM] Scoots: I should've mentioned something, aside from Scoots flattening himself, there are 2 other tricks he managed to use with his physical magic
- [1/8/2015 11:16:26 PM] EC - Personal: What tricks are those?
- [1/8/2015 11:18:53 PM] Scoots: Removing limbs and temporarily stretching out his body to a limit, so it give a few new tricks, but stretching drains mana quickly
- [1/8/2015 11:34:53 PM] Scoots: EC?
- [1/8/2015 11:37:10 PM] EC - Personal: I'm still here. And yeah, I bet those abilities would come in very handy as well, especially the stretching one.
- [1/8/2015 11:40:21 PM] Scoots: If he could use it often, but limits are limits!
- [1/8/2015 11:43:49 PM] EC - Personal: Hehe, very true. Still, I'd imagine that it would be very useful in a tight spot!
- [1/8/2015 11:45:17 PM] Scoots: True, though that depends if either he'll use that between using his speed ability and they both contain draining side effects that effect him more than other abilities on hand
- [1/8/2015 11:57:45 PM] Scoots: So, we need to know more about Chimera, all I know is that he has a magical scarf, wind magic and ice magic, but doesn't breath fire! You know when you mentioned that before in the RP, I almost had Scoots just respond to that "What kind of dragon do you thing I am?" Ummm.... a dragon?
