- Kagami, Jin now offering a hand to help up his friend, young Jin would smile, "You helped me learn alittle more as always... Now, how about we go on a little mining trip eh? Maybe it'll help us get that armor."
- Jin turns to Zexon, letting the fellow soldier know that they would indee join him on this trip.
- Zexon says, Let's go.
- Zexon says, So, minerals await us.
- Kagami, Jin says, Ah, this is the cave huh?
- Nakami says, Seems like it
- Kagami, Jin soon would travel with both Zexon and Nakami, the three ventured out into the grasslands, through the prarie and into the mountains. Rocky caves were common within the area and so were the inhabitants in which would have been there for eons, and though Jin knew nothing about this land, he could only suspect that the cave was formed either by natures will or through mortal hands.. Nakami stood by and so did Zexon...
- Jin would get onto a single knee, opening up a scroll where he would summon out the tools needed for them to mine, something he picked up along the way at the start of their little journeu... "If we can mine a smuch as we possibly could, then it would enrich our village, our blacksmith might even sell us stuff at a discount..." Jin was glad to be out again, away from the village and in the fields where and those around him would gain experience as shinobi..
- "Ya ready guys?"
- The start of a new quest with the boys.
- Zexon would nod towards JIn, seeing as how this mine was filled to the brim with resources. His main goal for the mining session was to actually gain some special material for Rhyme to turn the minerals and it into the gloves he so wanted, the flexible ones that can make him improve his ninjutsu manipulation in a way.
- "I'm ready as well."
- With that, he lit a torch and went deep into the underground, analyzing the veins that were present in the area, readying his pickaxe so that he may soon begin gathering resources.
- Nakami would yawn as he nodded to his comrade and walked up the stairs. After making sure to tighten his weights as he would follow his comrades into the caverns below and act as a personal bodyguard to the two. Nakami had not brought any tools needed for the mining trip except for some rice. With a sigh Nakami would stare into the darkness as he hoped that he could find some minerals.
- "I am ready comrades." Nakami would state humbly to his comrades as he followed and protected.
- Kagami, Jin brushing his hair back, taking up the tools he would only need for the time being... The rest, he would seal away if Nakami aor Zexon did not grab, and so they ventured deep into the cave... What they would see? It was unsure, the three rookie--Or well, Specialist ranked soldiers will have to find out just what was hidden within the cave.
- Was it valuable?
- Or would they find dirt?
- Was this spot uncharted?
- Jin marked this as a spot for his maps, a place to come to when with Mu on a later date... This was a charted line drawn upon his atlas... Zexon however, would likely be their tour guide, as he seems to have the navigation skills required to make this a successful mining, while Nakami had the strength of ten normal men, the strength that can punch holes into the wall with little effort... Jin saw these two as essential assets of their quest... A map, A strong man, and finally the one with tools.
- Zexon prospected the whole mines and noticed that he wasn't able to find anything of use to his own request, so he sighed and put up with it, but at the very least he was able to find some iron, copper and tin to bring back to the village for general purposes, he wasn't sure what the others found, but hopefully they've had better luck than himself. He approached them and said the section he'll work on:
- "Alright, I found a bunch of regular metal I'll be mining. If you need me, I'll be in the western section of the mines."
- And so he went west, hitting the veins of the regular clumpy metal and thus chipping off small bits of the mentioned metals, three bags prepared and minecarts nearby. Bit by bit, the veins went empty, and in due time he had gathered a sizable amount of the ores for his body size and strength. He struggled to lift the full bags though.
- "Gah . . . I might have trouble with this." He said to himself, mumbling about the situation.
- Kagami, Jin /// *Kagami, Jin starts to shake their 100-sided dice*
- Kagami, Jin has rolled a 94... Second roll, Kagami, Jin has rolled a 63...
- Through his sheer dumb luck, hammering down on the ore and rock filled cave, using his strength, no wits, but rather just him and his hard work to complete the task. He was drenched in sweat, wearing a straw hat to deflect any falling mini rocks from hitting his head or just collecting dust within his hair... Jin took a moment to breathe...
- Of course, earlier, with such luck (dice eroll, 24.) he could find nothing but minor material, something he could give to the blacksmith, but it was nothing special..."It aint much, but it's honest work," the young soldier said, tossing the pick-axes long handle upon his shoulder, holding the axe picks upwards...
- He took a look at Zexon as well as Nakami, spotting their hard work, it made him not want to sit around and do nothing. He may of been an average type of person, but it didn't hinder him from being who he truly was... And so he would continue to hack away at the stone wall, debris flying across and bouncing off his straw hat, nothing more than little pebbles and dust from the earth...
- It was then, he found something of value, his luck was starting to shine once again. It was something rare, but he was unsure as to what it was... Was it filled with magic or chakra? Was it of this world or something brought up from the plains deep under? It was a mystery to him, but he would look over at Zexon, not even caring so much as to what use it would bring to him.. Jin now knew where the mines were, so he could help bring the village and Mu profit by mining on the days he was not on missions.
- "If anything, you deserve this, so, why don't you take it?" He asked Zexon, never seeing the soldiers fighting style, but showing his gratitude through this donation. Never the less, Jin cared for those in the village and their needs, but by no means was he some pure person, no he had his flaws and even was selfish at times.. But his prioritize the needs of others when he was not focused on anything he needed to gain.
- Nakami would follow his comrades as he tried punching the walls with his weights on. hoping that he could train his body and soul using the hard rocks. Every now and again small shiny rocks would fall down as he punched and those pieces would go into his robes to act as more weight(29 roll). Next Nakami would begin doing jumping jacks by a wall as he watched his comrades mine and such, soon enough Nakami would get bored of just doing jumping jacks as he would begin jabbing the wall with his iron plated heavy boxing gloves. Nakami doubted that he could find anything by punching a wall though. Nakami would treat the punching as training for his weighted body. (70 roll)
- Zexon looked graciously as the generosity of Kagami, Jin, but knowing that he should not get greedy, he would deny the act of good.
- "Thank you Jin, but I think you should keep it. You found better veins than me and I believe you to deserve it more as a result. I'll work on gathering more of these veins instead."
- And with that, he kept attacking the veins and dried them up until he couldn't find any nor carry more. He was satisfied with what he got, even if nothing special.
- Nakami says, Indeed so comrades.
- Nakami says, We did well today.
- Kagami, Jin nodding his head, he understood how Zexon felt... A mans earnings comes from a mans honest work, and that resolve was something he would respect...
- "Yes we did, and another day, we might gain much more, perhaps with more people." he replied to Nakami.
- Nakami would nod to his comrades as he yawned. "Twas a good trip overall. And indeed, more people would be better." Nakami would respond soon after the yawn.
