>Kyle and Jan are now married and still do the odd job for the Resistance/New Republic whatever

>They get sent to Artus Prime to investigate a lead on a new top secret research station lead by a mysterious figure

>Kyle eventually discovers they're experimenting on kyber crystals and fusing them on living beings

>He destroys the facility but runs into the guy running it

>It's D'sann, now a cyborg, and Tavion

>D'sann explains that after Kyle left him for dead in the Sith temple in Dromund Kaas, the Dark Side force in the place plus his own sheer hate for Katarn allowed him to live, then Tavion nursed him back to health, they flew off in an old ship and have been working towards their revenge on Kyle and taking over the galaxy

>D'sann manhandles Kyle and captures Jan. He then orders Tavion to execute her, which she does

>The overgrown Kowakian monkey lizard leaves a wounded Katarn for dead in the exploding facility and leaves with Tavion

>Kyle manages to escape to the Raven's Claw and flies to the Valley of the Jedi

>There he finds his connection to the Force once again and then leaves to Luke's Jedi Academy (yeah, you can see why this can't happen now), where he goes looking for his lightsaber. Luke tests him and realizes Kyle has been to the Valley. He tells him they've found some info on D'sann and tells him he can go ask a crime lord in Coruscant for more

>Kyle goes to Coruscant but the crime lord is obviously uncooperative so he teams up with Lando and take down the crime lord, since he doesn't need him anymore now that Lando has given him a new lead

>They go to Bespin to try and capture D'sann but they run across Tavion instead

>Kyle gets overtaken by the Dark Side and Force chokes Tavion into giving him information on D'sann

>She spills the beans about everything, how D'sann followed Kyle into the Valley and how they're making artificial Force sensitives, and where D'sann is hiding, but Kyle pushes her too far and breaks her windpipe

>Kyle is shocked at how much the Dark Side overtook him and asks Lando for help, he tells him they'll try and save Tavion, but he needs to stop D'sann now that he knows where he is

>Kyle infiltrates an enemy base in an asteroid belt and runs into Luke, who is also investigating D'sann's threat

>They fight side by side, Worlds' Finest motherfucker

>They split up and Kyle sneaks on board D'sann's ship. He sees Luke and D'sann fight but dinodude manages to escape into his ship after bringing down the rest of the installation on top of Luke

>Once inside D'sann's ship Kyle finds out D'sann is planning to invade Luke's Jedi Academy with his army of artificial Force sensitives

>He also finds Jan inside the ship, surprisingly alive. She explains that D'sann mindbroke Kyle and showed him an illusion of her dying, and was planning to use her to bait him, but couldn't after he lost tract of Kyle

>they destroy the ship with the help of some pilots (Rogue Squadron II, or Black Squadron or whatever the fuck) and flee in an escape pod to Luke's Academy

>Once there Kyle fights his way through the remains of D'sann's army, runs into Luke who is trying to save as many students as possible and eventually faces his old enemy inside the Academy

>Kyle apologizes to D'sann but dinoman is not having it so they duke it out

>Kyle eventually cuts D'sann's head off, killing him and ending the threat to the Jedi Academy

>all of D'sann's forces are defeated, the good guys win, etc., etc.

>Kyle and Jan embrace and Luke asks Kyle if he would be interested in training some students for him
