  1. Maggie May thrust the package out with both hands, cleared her throat, and said, in a deep, fractured monotone, “You've got mail.”
  2.
  3. “What?” asked Endless, as she finished kicking a training dummy in the shins.
  4.
  5. “Uh, there's a package here with your name on it? It was at the front door this morning.”
  6.
  7. A thrown punch hovered in midair inches from the dummy's face. Endless whipped around. “Wait, you're serious? That wasn't one of your weird little meme things?”
  8.
  9. “What, it can't be both?”
  10.
  11. “And you just brought it inside?”
  12.
  13. “Of course not. I had Leo do a scanny thing on it first. It's not a bomb or a camera or anything.”
  14.
  15. Endless walked over towards Maggie and grabbed the package. Sure enough, the address read “Endless, 1432 Walker Drive, Halcyon City, Vagueslyvania, 26311.”
  16.
  17. “So what's in it?” Endless asked.
  18.
  19. “Spandex, apparently.”
  20.
  21. Endless brought the package into the living room and set it down on the couch, before grabbing a pair of scissors from a nearby endtable. The flaps of the box fell open to reveal what was, indeed, a great deal of spandex. White, with light gray highlights, and conspicuous black patches.
  22.
  23. Endless pulled one of the new uniforms up out of the box.
  24.
  25. “Jeez. There must be at least twenty in there. How much'd that set you back?”
  26.
  27. “Uh. Nothing.”
  28.
  29. “Wow, folks just send you new uniforms for free? You must be the luckiest super on the face of the planet.” In the blink of an eye, Maggie's clothes had become vapor behind her, immediately replaced with her uniform. “Well. Second-luckiest.”
  30.
  31. “Yeah,” muttered Endless. “Lucky me.”

  34.
  35. “Seriously? No fingerprints? No skin samples? Nothing?”
  36.
  37. “I'm afraid not,” said Leo, handing the box back to her. “It's inhumanly clean.”
  38.
  39. “So, what, aliens?” Endless asked, only slightly incredulous. “Aliens sent me a box of costumes?”
  40.
  41. “Ah, no. I'm sorry, I was attempting the use of a figure of speech.”
  42.
  43. “Well, it's not like I can rule that out, anyway. What with the wealth of other information to go on. Thanks anyway.” Endless turned to leave, her hands pushing the sides of the box in on each other.
  44.
  45. “Wait,” said Leo. “Is it possible that the package is from your, ah--” they glanced around to make sure Maggie was out of earshot. “--your mother? Or someone affiliated with her? I mean, it is not as though you don't need new outfits. This may have been an act of consideration.”
  46.
  47. “If it is, that's all the more reason to track them down.”
  48.
  49. “Of course. I'm merely saying that perhaps your paranoia over the matter is, if not unwarranted, perhaps a bit premature.”
  50.
  51. Endless turned back towards Leo. “I guess? But it's not like I can just, y'know, stop myself feeling paranoid.”
  52.
  53. “That's fair. If there's anything I can do to help--”
  54.
  55. “I'll let you know. Thanks.”
