BACKGROUND: molly spent about a quarter of her life in the usa, she was born there and eventually stopped speaking vietnamese and korean, as she used to be able to do as a very young age. it wasn't until she was five that she moved to south korea, her family moved to busan so her mother (who was korean, while her father was vietnamese) could be closer to her family, as she dearly missed the korean culture and wanted molly to experience it. molly had to learn korean and her mother had taught her and she quickly got used to the korean language. although molly was awkward and rarely initiated conversations, she was very approachable, hence why it was easy for her to make friends. the first one who talked to her and cracked her shell was her best friend, [the boy she loves] has been with her since a young age and they've been through a lot together.

gray, dark clouds painted the sky a bit of sunlight peaking through. molly held tightly on the chains of the swing, jeno next to her—kicking his legs back and forth, a boost of air causing the swing to move higher. molly sat quietly, the cold brisk air brushing against her cheek. she rubbed the tip of her nose lightly, a slight cough escaping her mouth.

"hey jeno, it's getting kind of cold. maybe we should get going." the swing began slowing down, jeno bringing his attention towards molly. "mmm, okay."

molly's face tinted pink as jeno gave her a soft smile, she was still clutching the swing's chains.

"hey, are you coming?" he asked, holding his hand towards him. molly pursed her lips, nodding in his direction, quietly grabbing his hands.

"hey, jeno. do you love me?" molly abruptly interrupted the silence. calmly, jeno answered, "of course. you're my best friend, why wouldn't i love you. remember if any guy hurts you, i'll beat him up, okay?"

"so you love me just as a friend."

"no." he spoke, molly's face slowly lighting up. "i love you as a best friend." that's when molly's face begun to dim down.

"i love you more than a friend." she whispered under her breath. "what'd you'd say?" jeno asked, not hearing her with the countless amounts of gusting wind.

"nothing!" she smiled brightly towards him, "let's getting going."

jeno dropped molly at her house, saying their goodbyes and see you laters.

"i'm home." molly called out, stepping in the house.

"is anyone ho—" she barely finished her sentence, as coughs escaped her lips.

uncontrollably, she kept coughing—until a flower petal emitted from her lips. "huh" she continued coughing for the next five minutes, when her mother came home to find her coughing.

HOW DOES SHE DEAL WITH HER DISEASE: jeno was her best friend, she couldn't keep any secrets from him—never did. except for this one. when molly found out this coughing-up-flowers things was because of jeno, she sealed her lips. the only one who knows about this disease are her parents and of course the doctor that tried treating her. but other than that, she doesn't tell anyone. most days she tries to keep herself in her room, with tears and flower petals.

HOW DID SHE FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM: it was one day, in middle school, a guy came off too strong about liking her. he constantly kept asking her out and giving off a too strong impression about it. jeno told the guy to get lost, claiming that him and molly were "dating" although they really weren't. then jeno began to give a whole speech about how she couldn't say guys yet because she was too young and innocent and that jeno, himself, would get tired of always looking out for her. molly noticed how much jeno cared for her, and thus started her feelings for him.

HOW HE FEELS ABOUT HER: he thinks of molly as a best friend, nothing more, although he has had thoughts about whether he has a crush on molly or not but it always results in "she's just my best friend, that's why i love her" and they're true, because he doesn't see her as more than that.

HIS BACKGROUND: jihoon, ever since he was young, always intrigued people, that's how he became popular. there was something to him that people kept chasing. of course jihoon wasn't really into all that, he wasn't interested in having a romance life. he's was like a mama's boy, he cared about his parents (well who doesn't), but he really loved them and looked out for them.

HOW DID HE FALL IN LOVE WITH HER: it was sophomore year of high school, jihoon and molly happened to be in the same class. molly's cute and bubbly personality and appearance caught jihoon's eye, he saw that molly was somehow unique and different from everybody. although, he never bothered to talk to her, because he was too scared, he always kept his eyes on her though.
HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT HIM: molly always thought he was a kind person, she thought of him as a very nice acquaintance. she knew he was handsome and she felt attract to him. some days she would wonder what happened if she liked jihoon instead of jeno, and on some days she really considers it. deep deep deep down, she knows she has little feelings for jeno, but her feelings for jeno are what shows the most.
