  16. 01[00:41] <veekieislurking> if I got this right, she DID meet her uncle in the reliquary, and probably did feel the "hot metallic" sense around Dia(hi notKhorne), but the scene as a whole is a reel from her memory, and the thread is basically paranoiagasming as usual?

  22. 01[00:44] <veekieislurking> very smooth transition, but I caught that around the third pass
  23. 01[00:45] <veekieislurking> mostly when I started paying attention to when the unstated details started mutating
  24. [00:45] <AcademiaNut> I also deliberately started fucking up my tenses
  25. 01[00:45] <veekieislurking> I'd never catch that
  26. 01[00:45] <veekieislurking> I fuck up my tenses without any assistance :V
  27. [00:46] <AcademiaNut> It was surprisingly difficult considering I do the same, but the use of future tense is the real telling part, especially when I immediately contrast it with present or past tense (which are easier to screw up)
  28. [00:48] <AcademiaNut> Basically it was an attempt to capture the way in dreams bits and pieces of scenes can be playing out multiple times or simultaneously, with your mind restarting things or retconning them on the fly

[00:58] <AcademiaNut> It was a mess, given that she was raised by an equal measure by private tutors/caregivers, her mother, and Anna in her early years, and by the time she was about ten her mother was getting actually married and having children again, and she often felt like an outsider in her own family

  39. 01[00:59] <veekieislurking> sort of typical early pregnancy leading to the child being offloaded to seniors and other caregivers because the mom is a panicking mess of a teen and then later on it was just too hard to connect?
  40. 01[01:00] <veekieislurking> and now she's an adult, moved away from her family and put into a bunch of responsibilities
  41. 01[01:00] <veekieislurking> no pressure
  42. [01:02] <AcademiaNut> More than that, she's known from a very early age that she is in a precarious political situation. Her own family views her somewhere in between a political liability and a prize to be tossed around
  43. 01[01:02] <veekieislurking> and her attempts to prove herself...has only cost the family even more money and political headaches
  44. 01[01:02] <veekieislurking> both times mech trashed
  45. 01[01:03] <veekieislurking> rescue the nomads and created a refugee crisis
  46. 01[01:04] <veekieislurking> entrap her political rival and he manages to just barely hang on
  47. 01[01:04] <veekieislurking> then lose a celebrity and nearly get killed...
  48. 01[01:05] <veekieislurking> sounds like hollywood
  49. 01[01:05] <veekieislurking> she's just short the embarassing alcohol/drug related incident
  50. [01:07] <AcademiaNut> You guys of course picked the most likely upgrade option to result in picking up Stressed or Depressed, which can transition into other vices either consciously or through more willpower failures
  51. 01[01:08] <veekieislurking> heh
  52. 01[01:08] <veekieislurking> well...if we practice moderation
  53. 01[01:08] <veekieislurking> somehow
  54. 01[01:08] <veekieislurking> SV's not really got any Temperance though
  55. [01:09] <AcademiaNut> Considering that not using the cube is going to result in people arguing that you should have just picked up one of the other options, so it would be a waste to not keep going...

  58. [01:11] <AcademiaNut> Yes. It's a free action to start or stop using it as well

  60. 01[01:11] <veekieislurking> personal plans are to alternate the years until we got more base willpower...but we'll see
