[18:37] <Takeshi> "I believe that's what -you- can do," he teases back with a smile, pulling at the Taffy. "But thanks, sensei."

[18:38] * Takeshi chuckles, looking down with a very very wide smile.
[18:38] <Takeshi> "Well, they're just two great tastes that I thought would go great togeather."
[18:39] <Heishiro> "That's all it takes, really."
[18:40] <Heishiro> "But you wouldn't go and do that, would you?"
[18:40] * Takeshi chuckles with a nod. "I know," he says, smiling.

[18:41] <Takeshi> "It's what I always try to do with my cooking. Experiment, put two things togeather that might not fit and see if they do." he says, laughing a little as Sensei takes him the wrong way

[18:43] <Heishiro> "But seriously, when all is said and done, what are you going to do?"
[18:45] <Heishiro> "You can keep being a Ninja and a Chef for a long time, but you're going to grow old eventually."
[18:45] <Takeshi> "Be the greatest Cook who's a Ninja can be," he says, almost sound like Seiji or Naruto when he talks. "Who's also the greatest Ninja's who's a Cook."
[18:45] <Heishiro> "You physically won't be able to do both anymore, and you'll have to decide which you love more."
[18:45] <Heishiro> "Not that that's a bad thing, however."
[18:46] * Takeshi looks at Sensei...he almost starts to laught but...doesn't. He rubs the back of his head.
[18:46] <Takeshi> "Are you trying to decide, sensei?"
[18:46] <Heishiro> "Nah, I've already made my decision, sort of."
[18:46] <Heishiro> "I'm going to make Candy when I retire."
[18:47] <Heishiro> "Though I'll miss being a Shinobi."
[18:47] <Takeshi> "I think I'll do the same, sensei." he says.
[18:47] <Heishiro> "No need to decide right now, Takeshi."
[18:47] <Takeshi> "More use for an old Cook with the skills of a Shinobi then an old Shinobi who can cook."
[18:47] * Takeshi leans over and pokes Sensei.

[18:48] <Heishiro> "Just wondering if you thought about it, is all."

[18:49] * Takeshi smiles wide, chuckling into a happy laugh.
[18:49] <Heishiro> "I mean, being a Shinobi is a hard life, but there are some good things about it."
[18:49] <Takeshi> "You are, but asking a kid what he wants to be when he's old and gray...You should be glad you have such focused students!"
[18:49] <Heishiro> "I'l"I am, I couldn't have asked for better."
[18:50] <Heishiro> "The major thing I'm going to miss is how... big, being a Shinobi is."
[18:50] <Heishiro> "You operate on a larger scale when you're a ninja, your world is huge."
[18:51] <Takeshi> "When you're all old and gray?" he asks. He looks at Sensei. "How...old are you? You sound like an old man already, sensei." He thinks. 'WHy can't the world be huge when you sell candy?"

[18:51] <Heishiro> "Anything more than that and it stops being making candy and becomes a business."
[18:52] <Heishiro> "But when you're world is big, you feel like you're actually doing something."
[18:52] <Heishiro> "I've probably been involved in some significant historical events."
[18:53] * Takeshi looks at sensei at that last comment.
[18:53] <Heishiro> "Not that I can remember them."
[18:53] <Takeshi> "But what stops you from being a business...and still doing what you love?"
[18:54] <Heishiro> "The fact that it becomes a business, that's what."
[18:54] <Heishiro> "I don't want to make money, I just want to make candy."
[18:54] * Takeshi pauses and smiles.
[18:54] <Heishiro> "And teach my son how to make Candy."
[18:55] <Takeshi> "That's very sweet of you," he says, smiling at the pun. "I hope you can, sensei." He says before he chuckles. "Well...why can't you have someone run the business and you just make candy so good everyone will want some?"

[18:55] <Heishiro> "Because at that point in my life, I won't want things big anymore."
[18:57] * Takeshi chuckles and stops pulling the taffy to look at sensei. "Didn't you just say that you'd -miss- it?"
[18:59] <Heishiro> "You don't just forget about eighty something years of your life, Takeshi, of course I'd miss it."

[19:00] <Heishiro> "I'll probably retire when you guys are Chunin and Yukari is safe."

He gives a happy little sigh before laughing up to Sensei. "I was just testing out how it sounded to be called 'uncle'."
[19:27] <Heishiro> "Well, we're only friends, so the best you can be is Godfather."
[19:28] <Takeshi> "Oh?" He looks at Sensei. "You never had friends of the family you'd call Uncle even when they weren't related to you?"
