  20. Back in 2010, some anon made these compilations of comfy vidya music and called it The Rainy Day Sessions, named for the inclusion of an alternate version of these compilations which had the songs mixed with rainymood on for atmosphere.
  21. These songs were sourced from Youtube video rips for the most part, so many of them sounded like ear cancer in terms of web compression and fidelity.

  23. In 2013, another anon took it upon himself to update the non-rainymood version of these albums using CD-sourced audio for a "remaster" of sorts.
  24. He also swapped out several songs for pieces he thought more closely fit the tone of the project.
  25. Unfortunately, he only completed up to volume 5 of 8 and his blog hasn't been updated since 2014.

  27. My goal here is to continue where "remaster anon" left off: replacing highly compressed YouTube rips with lossless-sourced 320kbps mp3 files, curating new selections, and creating brand new volumes.

  29. Certain songs being only availbale in lossy material such as DS games OSTs, certain gamerip OSTs, and YouTube remixes prevent this project from going fully lossless.
  30. Some of these YT remixes were made available as an MP3 in the description, but there were a few instances where I had no choice but to rip the video as a whole.
