- RotMG: The Novel - CntBleck
- It was an ordinary day just like any other, I was running Lost Halls casually with PubHalls, when suddenly, my prized and allured knight had been assassinated by one of those
- pesky angry boys. I threw my hands into the air, screaming, “This game is so BS” before calming down after realizing there was nothing I could do about it. I solemnly got out
- of my chair and laid down on my bed, as I had been running halls the entire day, and quickly fell asleep, dreading my midterms I had the next day. When I woke up, things
- weren’t the same. I heard a faint “Dududu dududududududuDUhDUhDUhDUhDUhDUh” Off in the distance, the classic 1 hit wonder from the realm of the mad god.
- As I slowly gained consciousness, I noticed a bunch of men surrounding me with light blue robes and wizard hats, shouting about Rings of Decades and what not. I shrugged it
- off and continued walking. That was when it hit me. I was INSIDE of Realm of the Mad God. I checked around me. To my right and left were the vault
- and guild hall portals. Ahead of me was the realm, and I was dreading venturing into it. Still, I pressed forward. I knew what I had to do in order to defeat the Mad God and
- free myself from the realm. As I approached the portal, I realized it was named Giant, so I decided to go on into it. To my surprise, I ended up successfully making it to the
- beach, where I encountered my first challenge. It was a scorpion queen! I knew that most scorpions are poisonous, so if I were to touch it, that would be the end of me. I
- stealthily dodged around, using my time in Cross Country to help me dodge the countless stingers that were flying at me. As I went in for the lethal blow on the Queen, one of
- the small, light brown scorpions hurled itself in my way, tanking the shot and allowing the queen to hit me. In that time, my whole life flashed before my eyes, from my first
- level 20 wizard, to my first 8/8 and how proud of it I was. As the queen’s stinger connected with me, I realised my entire body wasn’t seizing up as a reaction to the poison.
- Instead, I noticed my health had gone down to 99/100. I sighed, remembering I was in rotmg and that scorpions aren’t actually poisonous. After my great battle with the
- scorpion, I noticed the ground started to shake. I couldn’t tell if it was actually poison in my body causing me to hallucinate, or if the ground was actually shaking, until
- I remembered about the transition into the mad god’s castle. The ground trembled, it felt as if the earth’s tectonic plates were grinding against each other, and right before
- I felt the realm was about to explode, I was transported into Oryx's castle. Luckily for me, I ended up on bridge that was right in the entrance to the mad gods lair.
- I watched as the rogues and trixsters sprinted ahead of the pack, and saw as one got sat on by a brute of oryx and got demolished, a 7-8 gravestone appearing where he had been.
- As I approached the grave, I noticed a name embellished on it, reading “CntBleck”. I thought to myself, “lol, imagine dying to a brute” as I continued slowly
- walking throughout the dungeon. By the time I had reached the stone guardians, one of them had already died and the other was on his way to death as well. I managed to get in
- a couple hits, and I was rewarded with a T3 ability called the Saxophone. I rejoiced, “Yes! Finally something I can use,” I instantly dropped my large white and yellow sword
- and headed to oryx. As I went through the portal, I felt my bones quivering. This was it. This one battle determined whether I would live the rest of my life out, or if I
- would die in a musty old chamber of some onyx clad chicken. As I approached the Mad God’s arena, I noticed a group of people all sitting on top of him. I wanted to yell out at
- them, “Hey watch out, You’re gonna die” but before I could even think if I should say that, I noticed they were all knights spamming the living daylights out of their shields.
- I calmed down, knowing I was safe in the hands of the knights. It was then that I noticed a locked up portal where oryx had once stood. It was called his wine cellar, and I
- noticed I had an orange incantation in my pocket. Could this be what I needed? I threw it at the portal, causing it reveal a stairwell to his chamber. I went down the stairs
- with 40 or so other brave comrades, as we prepared to have the real final battle against Oryx himself. I rushed through the purple sludges and blue abominations,
- incapacitating them with my god awful saxophone playing. Finally, I was in the chamber with the beast, and I braced for the worst. His first attack was one where he shot out
- yellow orbs that split off into more yellow spheres that hurt more than anything else I had ever felt. I got roughed up, but a couple priests healed me. His second attack was
- one where he chased down the nearest person, but thanks to some skilled tricksters, they were able to decoy him. And finally, a knight named Kalle was brave enough to rush in
- during the final phase and finish off the mad god for good. Feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride, I went to the nexus portal, however there was another portal next to
- it called “home”. I went through the home portal, continuing my journey in the real world.
