- Back in the ring, things weren’t going well. From the start, Gravvy was just too slow to even consider touching Kofi- while Gravvy had some speed he couldn’t match Kofi’s sudden and agile changes of direction, and Kofi apparently thought it hilarious. “Come now, little girl!” Kofi shouted as he effortlessly flipped over Gravvy, even going so far as to roll on his back over the Pokemon’s bulky shell, “Is that the best you can do?!”
- Already gripping another Pokeball, Yellow whispered some commands to the ball and let it loose, summoning a large rat-like creature that immediately lunged at Kofi. “Good lord!” Kofi said as he deftly avoided the rat’s attacks, “What the hell is that?!”
- “Come on, Ratty, you can do it!” Yellow shouted. “Gravvy, back him up!”
- Gravvy lunged, but found his feet caught- Big E had again entered the ring, getting ahold of the Golem so that Kofi didn’t find himself overwhelmed by superior numbers. Shouting her dismay, Yellow grabbed another ball from her belt, whispered something, and was about to throw it when a third wrestler came at her from the side, kicking her squarely in the shoulder and the Pokeball slip easily from her fingertips. Ratty avoided a kick from Kofi and immediately stopped fighting to run to his trainer’s side, but Gravvy was too tied up in grappling with Big E to stop fighting. As Yellow crumpled, the ball hit the ground… and exploded in light, summoning an enormous three-headed ostrich-like creature, which immediately swooped down and picked up Yellow, hoisting her onto its back as if it had been told exactly what to do in anticipation of that exact attack. ‘Cause, you know, it had been.
- As Xavier and Kofi tried to chase down Yellow, the scene began to better resemble a zoo breach than a wrestling match- at Yellow’s command Ratty turned away from the two wrestlers and attack Big E, distracting him with gnashing fangs to get him away from Gravvy. As Big E was a lot more susceptible to bites than blunt force, he relented, giving Yellow a chance to enact the next step of her plan- she withdrew both Ratty and Gravvy, leaving her alone on Dody’s back against three wrestlers. Perfect.
- “NOW, DODY! WHIRLWIND!”
- At once, the bird’s heads spun like helicopter blades, creating an enormous gust of wind amplified further by Yellow’s beckoning. The extra power was important- if she didn’t completely blow them airborne, someone could get seriously hurt. Guiding the whirlwind carefully, Dody got all three wrestlers suspended together near the ceiling.
- Yellow’s eyes narrowed. “Alright, cut it!”
- The moment the gale winds ceased, the three wrestlers began to fall, their screams loud and clear now that the winds had silenced the crowd. The only other thing that could be heard was Yellow’s shrill voice issuing one final command.
- “NOW!”
- Right on schedule, Danny and Gon leapt into action, each catching one of the wrestlers in the air and landing gently on the canvas, even as they played it up to look like some devastating finishing move. Dody caught the last New Day member and landed in front of Yellow, ducking one head to let the dazed wrestler roll onto the canvas. At the same time the trio went for the pin.

- Bells ringing. Cheers. Shouts of victory. A cacophony of celebration washed down from the crowd like a tsunami, practically bowling the trio over in its scope and warmth. It all kind of blurred together in that moment, and something about it made ideas fit together in Danny’s head. As the audience cheered in a roaring wave of thunderous applause, Danny gripped the microphone hanging from the ceiling and screamed “YEAH WE’RE YOUNG, BUT WE’RE THE YOUTH GONE WILD, AND WE’RE IN IT TO WIN IT! WHO’S NEXT?!”
