  25. **RUN TO SOURCE OF MADNESS**
  26.
  27. Ackleberry Triple Junction. (road).
  28. The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. A fresh breeze is blowing through the area. The road splits in three directions. To the north, a winding road heads towards the imposing height of Avechna's Peak. To the west, the Alabaster Road stretches off to the Serenwilde forest. And to the south, the Ackleberry Highway slopes down towards the Ackleberry Forest. The flattened earth of the junction speaks of pilgrims often stopping here, perhaps pausing to gaze up at the majesty of Avechna's Peak, perhaps pondering which direction fate will make for them at this crossroads. A milestone juts up from the ground here. Attached to a wooden post here is a large metal bell. Four pillars of sand flow onto a bed-sized slab of white marble which rises from the ground, surrounded by a nimbus of domotheon energies. A cow wanders about aimlessly, minding its own business and paying you no attention. A core of abyssal metal lies here, the only remnant of a massive weapon.
  29. You see exits leading north, northeast, east (open door), southeast, south, west, and northwest (open door).
  30.

  112.
  113. A brow slightly raised as she gazes upon the broken weapon, Lady Haruspex Rancoura So'hthae, Ole'noc Caihel whispers, "It does appear rather familiar."
  114.
  115. Swaying, you ask, "Are they going to leave it here?"

  281.
  282. LOOK ME
  283. He is a compound-eyed kephera wyrden demigod. He looks imposing at first glance, standing nearly two meters high with a black chitinous exoskeleton and broad blood-orange thorax. His bulbous red eyes sit on either side of his wedge-shaped head, and a small pair of stunted antennae protrude from atop his skull, looking broken. Where his mouth would be sits a small pair of jagged mandibles. Two sets of spiny orange arms are affixed to his torso, the top set of which are long and thewy while the second are spindly and pulled close to his chest. A long abdomen hangs down to his knees and is angled away from his back, ribbed in full black bands with small orange flecks throughout. Evidence of conflict mar his once shiny carapace, with the occasional crack and abrasion clearly visible. His legs are long and covered in thick orange plates with tiny black spines tracing down the back of his calves, ending in small segmented dual-toed feet. Set on either side of his lower back are two delicate orbs that whistle and click as he breathes. Two pairs of veiny, translucent wings looking far too small for his body size hang stiffly from his back. Despite initially appearing intimidating, his demeanor is subdued, the smaller set of hands laced together tightly. Tattooed on his hands is an illustration of a bumblebee constellation. A scarlet hieroglyph rests in the centre of his forehead, flickering with occasional tongues of lightning to show the highfavour of Mysrai, the Shofet of Abyssal Scales. Threadlike skeins of mist envelop his form, flowing out from his body as a vaporous cloak. A lush fragrance dances about him as he stands awash in the wild, prismatic colours of a favour from Maylea, Bloom of Serenity. <-- so many f'ing colors
  284.
  285. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "Who all did you invite, anyway?"

  288.
  289. Faintly buzzing, you say to Tridemon, "Let's see... Lady of Roses told me to invite...."
  290.
  291. A delicate, twinkling black rose appears in your hands, where once there was nothingness.
  292.
  293. You have emoted: Gurashi continues to sway, counting on his fingers. "Lady of Serenity, Lady Enchantress, Lady Welk--".
  294.
  295. You shudder violently as a chill ripples down your spine.
  296.
  297. You have emoted: Gurashi stops talking, staring intently at the rose that suddenly appears in his hand.
  298.
  299. LOOK ROSE
  300. Blooming delicately atop a long stalk, this rose twinkles enchantingly where what appears to be small glittering diamonds are embedded within the petals. The twinkling gems contrast with the supple, soft petals of the rose whose pitch black colour rivals that of the night sky, but a single streak of violet on one of the petals mars the absoluteness of the blossom. Gentle and soft against the skin, the flower feels so frail as to collapse in even the barest of an overbearing grasp.
  301.
  302. You have emoted: Gurashi holds the rose close to his face to scrutinize it, then lifts his head to look around quickly, as if searching for something.
  303.
  304. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... is Lady Viravain watching you closely, then?"

  309.
  310. You slip into a delicate, twinkling black rose.
  311.

  313.
  314. You have emoted: Gurashi clips the rose carefully to his vest, staring at it, both amazed and concerned.

  317.
  318. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "The Enchantress..."
  319.
  320. Tridemon creases his brow in a frown.
  321.
  322. Faintly buzzing, you ask Tridemon, "Oh, n-no, She already told might come ... wait, what?"
  323.
  324. You have emoted: Gurashi begins to look even more nervous, antennae sinking.
  325.

  327.
  328. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "There are reasons for Lady Carakhan and Lord Darvellan to be rather unhappy with Her. And a number of reasons for Her to be unhappy right back."

  331.
  332. You nod your head emphatically.

  334. Faintly buzzing, you say to Tridemon, "If anything would only be for song."
  335.
  336. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... Please tell me you didn't invite Her to sing."
  337.
  338. Tridemon tilts his head curiously at you.
  339.
  340. Tridemon peers about himself unscrupulously.
  341.
  342. Tridemon rests his hands upon you, solemnly speaking, "May the purest waters cleanse your soul and may the Light fortify it against the darkness." Hearing the sound of water, a wave of emotion rushes through the touch of Tridemon's hands, filling you with strength and hope.
  343.
  344. You stare implacably at Tridemon.
  345.
  346. Faintly buzzing, you ask Tridemon, "No, we .... She invited Her to judge?"
  347.
  348. Skye inclines his head politely to those around him.
  349.
  350. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Lady Viravain invited the Enchantress to be a judge? Of a song contest?"
  351.
  352. Weakly, you say, "Had to deliver message for Lady of Roses, but hope does not decide to kill messenger. Am starting to feel little silly."
  353.
  354. You nod your head at Tridemon.
  355. Nervously, you say, "Think will probably be pretty unhappy maybe. Think have Lord Predator's knife? Xenthos said it might be, do not know."

  360.
  361. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "All right, quick bit of education on the Elder Wars."
  362.
  363. You stare implacably at Tridemon.
  364.
  365. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Twelve Traitors, led by Lord Fain, were found, and judged by a Triumvirate. It was about using the power of the Soulless. Lady Drocilla was among them, and when She was being judged, She attempted to enchant those who were judging Her with Her song. Which didn't work, because They slammed a collar around Her neck to silence the song, or something along those lines. And thus She was banished to the Void. While being judged, and Her song being cut off."
  366.
  367. You boggle at Tridemon.
  368.
  369. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "That is a very, very nasty invitation you delivered to Her."
  370.
  371. You stare implacably at Tridemon.
  372.
  373. You blush furiously.
  374.
  375. Faintly buzzing, you say, "Th..."
  376.

  382.
  383. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Well, at least the prize for the song contest isn't a collar."
  384.
  385. You peer at Tridemon unscrupulously.
  386.
  387. Faintly buzzing, you say to Tridemon, "Is something of Lady of Roses's choice..."
  388.
  389. Faintly buzzing, you say, "A-anyway. Need to rest."
  390.
  391. Tridemon pats you in a friendly manner.
  392.
  393. You have emoted: Gurashi rubs his face. "All of Divine invited from Ironhart collective have responded. Is all downhill from here."
  394.
