mihyun is a very happy-go-lucky kind of girl with a smile that's as bright as the sun. she's extremely friendly and outgoing, and is somehow capable of making friends wherever she goes. she's sometimes oblivious to her surroundings and can be a little slow, but she's trying her best regardless. she's very supportive of all her friends and often puts other people first before herself, even if she's not that close with them. she's adorable without trying onstage and offstage and loves being able to put a smile on people's faces--which is why she decided she wanted to become an idol.

mihyun was born in busan as an only child but moved to japan shortly after her second birthday when her mother found a job there. it was hard to make friends when she first started school in japan since she didn't exactly know the language, but she kept her head up and tried her best to be friendly to everyone. it was always lonely being an only child so she always enjoyed surrounding herself with her friends. after her first year of high school, she moved back to korea. though it was hard, having to leave her life in japan, she found solace in singing and playing her violin. she participated in many singing competitions and was eventually scouted by yg ent after winning a major contest.
