>"Sounds easy enough!" I try being skillful by cutting the bell pepper as fast as that chef I watched in a show earlier, but the pieces keep sliding away because of the dull knife. I try not to let Avo's agitation distract me, her paws waving to stop me.
>"Hey, be careful! You'll end up cutting your hand, and I'm not gonna be the one to explain to Al why you went to the hospital to get thirty stitches."
>"Relax, it's not like my hooves can get cut." I reply easily. "See?"
>I demonstrate this by bringing the knife to my hooves like I'm about to chop off their tips, but the hardness obviously prevents that from happening.
>It must be because she's not a hoofed mammal that she's cringing as much as she is. The sight of fingers looking like they're about to be chopped off made her neck hairs stand on end before a moment passes by, nothing happening to my hand obviously, followed by her sighing in irritation.
>She noticably grips her fingers protectively with her other paw, "Please don't do that."
>"Sorry," I reply remorsefully. "My fingers'll be fine. If only this knife wasn't so dull, then I could cut shit like those chefs on TV. I don't gotta worry about injuries and all, so I'm basically built for this!"
>"Except I sharpened that knife plenty before you came up here, and also you aren't gripping it correctly."
>"Huh? But I'm doing it like you showed me."
>"Here," she gently takes the knife out of my hand, and as if it's nothing, she cuts the partially chopped pepper more easily, making quick work of what would have taken me an extra five minutes of effort to accomplish.
>"Aww, man." I slump.
>"Here, take it. Practice makes perfect."
>"Right." I nod, taking back the knife and admiring her handiwork. "Man, you're really good at this."
>"And as long as you stick to trying to chop veggies and not your fingers like a fluffy psycho, then you will be in no time."

>"Just don't try it again, or you ain't coming back here."
>"Okay, noted." I chuckle.
>Time passes and after chopping through the lettuce, some cherry tomatoes, and other things, I'm beginning to feel more confident in my abilities. I might even be able to make her dinner one day.
>"I think I'm beginning to get the hang of this!"
>"Keep it up and you'll be a quarter as good as me in no time."
>"You ever think of doing a cooking show?" I ask, half serious.
>"Hm?"
>"Cuz seriously, you know all these dishes that I never heard of, you got all the techniques for meal prep, let alone cooking sauces and whatnot."
>"Ah. Well, it wouldn't make as much as what I do right now."
>"Heh, yeah, maybe..." I shrug, trying to not think about it.

>"Imagine if we made a stream together?"
>"Getting bold, are we?"
>"Yeah," I smile. "Wait-"
>"Goodbye, fluff."
>"No- wait! I-I meant a cooking stream!"
>"Uh huh."
>"No, I'm serious! That wasn't what I meant, I swear. I just... Imagine if you had a ram making food with you. It would be kinda a novelty, right?"
>"This is the weakest attempt at covering your ass I've ever seen."
>"A-Avo, really, I-I-I really didn't mean-"
>I feel a paw playfully rub my coif and hear her laughing.
>"Relax, I'm just fucking with your head. I know you were just sticking your foot in your mouth again."

>"I don't know, maybe? I mean, if we did a muckbang type of stream where you ate the food I made..."
>"That. Sounds. Awesome!"
>"I'm not being serious right now."
>"I think you should be. This sounds like a business waiting to happen."
>"Exploiting yourself to the public for cash? Boy, I AM corrupting the youth, aren't I?"
>"Shut up," I laugh. "But really, if getting to eat your food on camera for money is exploitative, then I think you can exploit me all you like, cuz this sounds like a blast."
