» | background; Isabel is of Japanese decent, and she was born in Sydney, Australia. She grew up there with her parents, and her younger sister Mina. When she was eighteen years old, she travelled to South Korea with her younger sister, to get some experience before going to university. However, while out shopping, they were both scouted by SM Entertainment and later went to an audition in 2012. She moved to South Korea after being accepted, and began training with the Entertainment company, while taking a few college courses online, because her knowledge of Korean wasn't good enough to go to school there.

» | personality; Isabel can be extremely innocent, and also very thick at times. She has a habit of asking stupid questions with very obvious answers. She can also be very forgetful sometimes, and has a a habit of zoning out completely. However, she is very affectionate, and can also be very picky over things. She often talks slowly, though, because she isn't completely fluent in Korean, and doesn't want to mess up and accidentally say the wrong thing or pronounce something wrong. She has a habit of switching to Japanese when she's mad, and will prefer to just rant to herself, because most of the other members don't understand what she's saying, but the ones who do just let her be. She is very oblivious, and can be extremely slow. However, she never fails to make her friends smile.

– Hirai Hisashi (father) – 48 years old, and works as a businessman in Sydney. Isabel isn't very close to him either, because he is always away on business trips and it's difficult to get in touch with him
– Mina Hirai, (sister) – 19 years old, and is currently studying in South Korea, and is also a trainee for SM entertainment. She isn't in a group yet however, and is mostly focusing on her education and training. Isabel and Mina are very close, and they see each other regularly.

» | first meeting and first impressions of each other; the first time Isabel met him, she ran into him – literally – in a rush to get to the practice room. She was really embarrassed, especially when she recognised him, and jumped up off the floor and ran off, leaving him confused. However, when they met for a second time, she tried to hide, but he recognised her straight away, and grinned brightly at her, before smirking and going to tease her about it.

» | how she acts around him; at first she was very shy, and awkward, because she was embarrassed about knocking him over. But then she began to open up to him a bit more, and they're closer as friends now. Even though she's not really sarcastic, if she gets really annoyed by his teasing, she'll begin to tease him back.

» | how he acts around her; he often teases her, because she was extremely embarrassed, and he found it extremely cute. He isn't really shy around her that much, mostly due to the fact that she remains oblivious to any feelings he might have for her.

– she accidentally starts a pillow fight (whether it be with Beakhyun, Chanyeol, EXO, or Lux in Tenebris), and it turns into a full out war between them.
