  1. WRITTEN BY DEACON LIEUTENANT REDDING ON BEHALF OF THE MISSIONARY INITIATIVE
  2.
  3. //DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDE BOOKLET UNLESS YOU HAVE READ ALL OF BOOKLET ONE, FOLLOWED ITS INSTRUCTIONS, PROCEEDED TO BOOKLET TWO AND FOLLOWED IT'S INSTRUCTIONS, AND ARE NOW OF SOME FREE WILL WITHIN A NON-BELIEVERS VILLAGE/TOWN/CITY/COMPOUND.//
  4.
  5. If you are reading this, blessings and congratulations upon you, missionary! You not only managed to find a people to bring into the light, but have survived first contact! A remarkable feat for any first time missionary! Presumably, you are now capable of the following things:
  6. -Speaking a common tongue with the non-believers
  7. -Able to move freely within the camp of non-believers
  8. -Able to communicate with the non-believers without incurring the wrath of the local authority.
  9.
  10. If you are not capable of one or more of these things, seek out the local chief, lawmaker, sheriff, or similar position of authority and attempt to convince him or her to allow you the previously stated privileges. A important thing to keep in the forefront of your mind is RESPECT. RESPECT the local authority, RESPECT the local culture, and RESPECT your position and the honor awarded to it. Always act kindly and honestly with the non-believers, and take in their culture and adapt yourself to it (unless it directly conflicts with our beliefs.) If the people you are now residing with view nudity as sacred, then peal off as much clothes as you can be comfortable with. If the tribe you reside with feels the consumption of plants or meats is taboo, then sell, donate, or burn your current stock and replace it with locally accepted eatings. In order to bring non-believers and doubters to the light, you must shed your inhibitions and prejudice for the sake of the mission, as these small cultural things can be worked on once a more established presence of our faith is made in the local sphere. One should also remember to act as charitable and kindly as the culture allows, for instance, if you, on your travels, happened upon some sweets of which you have not yet consumed, and see a crying child, consider the culture of the local tribe, and act as charitably as they would allow. If they are excessively paranoid of child snatchers, maybe its best to stay away, but if they are more relaxed in that sense, consider giving the child a piece of, or the whole item of candy in order to calm it and seem kind to those who would witness this act and the parents of the child who will undoubtedly heard of the man giving out free candy. If you see a beggar or similarly down on their luck person, consider the local culture; if the average citizen feels that beggars and vagrants are sub-human and not worthy of any charity, do your best to give as little as possible, preferably out of sight of many people, as the vagrant can very easily become your first convert despite the hatred of them, and if the culture holds charity to high regard, consider giving them something exceedingly valuable and not strictly needed by the mission, for instance, a piece of nice looking jewelery, a detailed ceramic vase, or a trophy from a vanquished beast or warrior. You should always be communicating with the locals in order to improve your grasp of their lingual nuances and slangs, local taboos and rumors, and generally get a feel for how this tribe operates. After a day or two with the tribe, you should consider your personal skills and talents and how you may use these to improve your standing within the tribe; Are you a cook of considerable quality? Perhaps you should seek employment in their mess hall or cafeteria equivalent, or perhaps offer your skills to a influential family. Do you have a great singing voice or musically talented? Perhaps public performances should be considered. Were you a armory private before deciding to join the missionary initiative? Help the locals with your knowledge of metalworking, sharpening weapons, building tools, or constructing fortifications. Not only do these make you seem like a constructive and beneficial member of society, but you can also earn food and water to help your mission while doing so! After a week or two of working and conversing with the tribe, you should have a general idea of the local atmosphere and ideally have made a few friends. Begin using your good will and resources to further your mission; Begin discussing the prospect of learning about the religion with your new friends, maybe attempt to acquire land to construct a shrine to The Sargent, perhaps engage in a friendly theological talk with the local shaman or preacher. Some times, people won't be receptive to your advances, and to that we must ask you: No matter how long it takes, you must keep faith and be persistent and work hard to spread the faith. Nobody is a lost cause, and anyone can be brought under the light of faith.

  12. //SOME THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND//
  13. Some societies will have a caste system. You should inquire with those more knowledgeable than yourself as for which caste you belong to and conform to the entailing expectations from that caste.
  14. Do NOT FORM SEXUAL OR ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS. Your love and devotion to The Sargent is more important. If you are expected to intermarry, attempt to postpone it as long as acceptable by social norms, and attempt to marry with someone you have already converted, or, in the case of arranged marriages, attempt to convert your betrothed first and foremost.
  15. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT
  16. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE
  17. EVEN UNDER THREAT OF EXPULSION OR EXECUTION
  18. RECIPROCATE EXTRAMARITAL ADVANCES, IT IS BETTER TO SNEAK OUT OR WILLINGLY LEAVE THE TRIBE THAN PERMANENTLY TARNISH THE FAITHS REPUTATION.
  19. No matter how wealthy or influential you may get during your quest, remember, The Sargent is counting on you. Maintain your faith and complete the mission.

  22. If you are reading this, you should now be trusted and considered a able member of the tribe, and have at least converted a small flock of 2-6 trusted people. With this task done, you should use your remaining wealth to attempt to make contact with the nearest Follower base, via any means necessary, typically you may be able to hire a courier or scout to deliver a written message to the base if you give him directions, otherwise you should take one or two of your trusted followers and make preparations to return to the base yourself with them. Repeat the steps from your first trek again (If you cannot recall them, reopen your the first primer booklet.), but account for how many people you are taking this time and attempt to recount any dangers or complications and get supplies that will trivialize or nullify these dangers. Once at the homebase again, lead your followers directly to the nearest Deacon-Lieutenant or higher rank so that they may receive the required blessings and their own copy of the Operation Rapture. While they are discussing the faith and what is expected of them as a member of the faithful, seek out the local Confessor General or highest rank available and formally request a fireteam of Armory-branch aligned faithful for construction of your very own church among the tribe of convert-prospects, then return to the Confessor General for anointment and promotions so that you may lead your flock as a Deacon-Lieutenant
  23.
  24. If you are reading this, you have presumably just been promoted! Blessings and congratulations, If I am still alive, I may not be saluting you right now, but I am spiritually, and if I am dead, then I AM SALUTING YOU FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE! You should be proud of of your faith and devotion, because everyone around you is. Back to the mission, because it isn't over just yet! See to the armory to gather the supplies for the mission and the skilled (or unskilled) labour of the Armory Fireteam, and begin your trek back to the convert-prospect tribe with your converts and the armory fireteam. Once there, you should have the labour, materials, and presumably the blessing from both sides of the faith for the construction of your mission's, and the faiths, permanent headquarters in the prospect convert tribe!
  25.
  26. The nex book will detail the managing of a church, uplifting of uncivilized tribals, and influincing of the local culture through the faith.
