the pitch:
- for as long as anyone can remember, the nation has been kept safe from extraterrestrial threats by magical girls. empowered by forces beyond the comprehension of modern science, these heroes have continuously fought in the name of love and justice to keep humanity safe, and have earned the trust and adoration of the citizenry.
- unbeknownst to the public, however, most magical girls drop off the face of the earth past the age of 16, and the motives of the beings that entrust these youths with their powers are still a mystery.
- you are all members of a task force assigned to covertly investigate the forces behind these magical girls. what are their motives? what is magic, really? and where do these kids go after the age of 16?
- in some way, this mission has been made personal: perhaps a sibling or child of yours was one of those that disappeared. perhaps you used to be a magical girl yourself. perhaps you saw something more sinister lurking underneath the hearts and cotton candy. whatever your agendas are, your goals are the same- to find the answers.

NOTE:
- no, magical girls are not exclusively female, in the same way that firemen aren't exclusively male.
- a lot of the details (the magical girls' aesthetics, the sort of monsters they fight, etc.) are left open for discussion
